“Venue Hire Review: My dad recently passed away and we wanted somewhere private to hold a Celebration of Life with his family and friends. I therefore reached out to a few places to find out what they could offer and enquire about the room and buffet options they had available. The Holiday Inn Chester West replied quite quickly, but most importantly they offered their condolences before going into any kind of sales pitch, which the other companies did not. Harriet sent us a lovely Celebration of Life brochure and said that we were welcome to visit to see the room available, so we arranged to take my mum up a couple of days later. We were extremely impressed with what was on offer for the price and therefore paid the deposit there and then. On the day itself the service provided exceeded our expectations. The room was beautifully decorated and just the right size for our guests. The food was delicious and plentiful and there was a great choice available to suit all tastes. There was a Bluetooth speaker available, so we created a Spotify playlist of some of my dads favourite songs which helped to create a lovely atmosphere and the staff also helped us to set up a photo display that I had created, along with a beautiful memory table. All of the staff were absolutely brilliant and I cannot thank them enough for helping us arrange a lovely Celebration of Life during what was a difficult and emotional time for us all.”

“What can I say, been here less than half an hour and found the hotel spotless as we stepped into reception. Receptionist Rosie was absolutely fantastic when we found out our room was on the second floor and it was no trouble in transferring us to a ground floor room. Our room was spotless, the restaurant was fantastic with very polite and very helpful staff. Whole heartedly recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in North Wales (the price was great too!).”

“What a gem. The 10/10 reviews are well deserved. Good communication ahead of the stay with directions to make finding it easy. Pristine, characterful accommodation, a warm welcome, crisp quality linen and a comfortable bed. Didn't come in good weather but that's when you really test the quality of the stay. Hot drink and piping hot bath with underfloor heating made me feel rested and toasty and maybe even a little smug at my choice of accommodation pretty quickly! As a travel writer I stay away for about 100 days a year, and I rank this highly as one of my personal favourites, my kinda place. Will definitely be back.”

“Our puppy LOVES going to Ty gwyn Pets day care. The girls are all so lovely and caring, I know I'm leaving Rupert in good hands. He gets to play all day with the other dogs and comes home every day absolutely knackered. They provide pictures of every day he's there which I always look forward to. I would definitely recommend Ty Gwyn Pets to anyone.”

“A fabulous cattery, my cat always comes home relaxed and content after a stay at Brook Park. Nothing is too much trouble, Gill is always so helpful and I love to see the pictures of her ‘guests’ on their Facebook page!”

“It was a first time cattery experience for both ourselves and Daisy ( 11 months old ). Sally and her daughter are brilliant, they put us totally at ease, showed us around and answered any concerns we had. Cannot fault them at all. The place is pristine and bright and you could clearly see they are cat lovers . We also received photos of Daisy during our holiday with updates which very reassuring to see she was ok. Will absolutely be using them again and couldn't recommend them more.”

“We had a fantastic weekend, plenty to do around. It's located strategically between many great hiking spots and lovely towns. Richard and Paola were extraordinary hosts, everything about their home was spotless. Their generosity, kindness and sense of humour were indubitably one of the reasons that will make us go back there. Hopefully soon. Most definitely recommend it.”

“We had a great stay here, there was plenty to do within a short drive but the property itself was quiet and set amongst some great views. The shower was nice and hot and it was free. The access road was having work done when we stayed hence the location losing one star but the accommodation is 5 stars. Nicola was a fantastic host and very friendly.”

“We had the most perfect wedding day at Soughton Hall in September. During the build up to the wedding, Erin and the team couldn’t do enough to help and no question or ask was too much trouble! The day ran absolutely perfectly, Cheryl and the team were amazing and received so many compliments from our guests. The food and cocktails were delicious and we as the Bride and Groom were really well looked after all day. The hall speaks for itself - it’s the perfect backdrop to our photos! We can’t thank the team at Soughton Hall enough!!”

Stunning Christmas decorations filled the restaurant providing a nice atmosphere, not too close to each other and quick and efficient service from the helpful waiting staff. Considering the location for our wedding currently and highly recommend even just for the food!”

“It's the staff who make The Druid Inn a terrific place to visit. We stayed for 3 nights while doing Offa's Dyke Path, and were made to feel very welcome. The staff transported us to the start of our walk each day and collected us in the afternoons - with plenty of conversation to keep us entertained. The restaurant menu was extensive enough to keep our interest, and the food excellent. We appreciated the big breakfasts and packed lunches. The rooms are compact but well equipped and comfortable.”

“Upon arrival we were greeted by the team who were so friendly and informative of where we were staying and local amenities. We prepaid for the movie package, gowns, slippers and balloons to decorate the lodge as my partner had passed his exams. Throughout our visit the staff were so refreshing and the lodge itself was stunning, really clean and set in a great position. I would highly recommend staying here.”

“My daughter and I stayed with our two small dogs for a night away from home. The location is absolutely perfect, and the annex is beautiful. There's a pub/restaurant just across the road, and the annex is situated right at the entrance to Loggerheads—perfect for anyone who enjoys a walk in a stunning Highly recommended”

“Our boy Beau has just came back from a 10 day stay with Sharron and her family. Sharron kept us posted and sent plenty of videos of him being playing with the other dogs and living his best life. We are so glad that we sent Beau here , because we know he was looked after and treated as if he was Sharron’s own dog, and part of the family. We will definitely be booking him back in here for our future breaks, And I’m sure Beau will have zero complaints about that.”
