“Totally love this place for takeaway's, the food is always excellent quality and deliciously hot even when being delivered, we have never had a meal turn up luke warm or cold. When collecting the staff are always super friendly and the owner always goes above and beyond for his customers. We were devastated to hear of the fire that occurred there and really missed our takeaways from there while the refurb was taking place. So glad to be able to return to our regular place as nowhere else comes close in comparison.”

“We booked the Private Dining Room on Sunday to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary. There were 18 of us in total. We had a great relaxing time, as we were not rushed in anyway. The food was to an excellent standard. delicious and served hot to everyone at the same time. The staff especially Ellie were very friendly, efficient and couldn't do enough to make everyone welcome and looked after. We had lots of compliments about the meals, the venue and the staff. The room was lovely with lovely views over the garden. We could not find a fault with anything and would encourage anyone looking for a venue for their event not to hesitate booking Rake Hall.”

“Went in for dinner after wet day at the zoo. Pub was nice and warm when walked in and straight away the smell of the food in carvery smelt fantastic. Bar staff were welcoming young lady that served me I think was called Lindsey. We all ordered a soft drink and carvery each( 3 adults 2 children) chefs working on carvery one was Kenny didn't catch the other lads name but both were very pleasant. Young lady called Ellie brought are deserts who was also very attentive and smilie.”

“Food was excellent as always. Went there with some of our friends celebrating their sons birthday. I asked the staff for a cake and candle as a surprise. They came promptly with the cake and sang happy birthday to him, didn't even charge for the cake. Thank you to everyone at Nandos, we had a great time.”

“Been a couple of years since we were passing ,and it's clean welcoming and our food was really good and reasonable price 2 adults and a senior meal ( mother in law) plus drinks 40 quid ,mash was super fluffy and nice thick gravy ,misses loved the pie ,mush and tarragon, the gentle that delivered the food was friendly and really professional, loved it, defo pop back would definitely recommend plus free parking and loads of space inside the place to sit and relax”

“I met a friend for an early evening meal at The Rake Hall, in Rake Lane, opposite Cheshire Oaks. As always at a Brunning & Price pub, standards were high. The staff were brilliant, very attentive, & the food was excellent. The Powder Room is excellent too. It's upstairs, so u may need directions. There are tables outdoors too, if u prefer fresh air. We were there, inside, on a Friday evening & the place was packed. At a long table next to ours, a family birthday party was in full swing. And, it was clear that many others were there celebrating the beginning of the weekend. The menu is broad in selection & prices. I ordered pork steak + veg & my friend had a steak. The food was excellent. We were both delighted with the meal & the service. I can recommend Rake Hall for an evening of good food, a very pleasant ambience & excellent staff. Go & enjoy.”

“Five stars are not enough for the fabulous dinner we had! We opted for the flat iron steak, and let me tell you, I will always remember this steak! Absolutely divine! We were very well looked after by our lovely waiter. I do recommend this place!”

“Was passing through and saw this was open. I asked for haddock and chips as I wanted to try the fish and chips, the fish was really good, the batter soft and not too oily, the haddock was chunky and one of the best fish I have tasted. The chips were soft, and even after getting home, the fish and chips tasted really nice. The serving couple was very polite and served the food really quickly. It is definitely highly recommended. The price for a large fish and small chips was less than £9.”

“Wonderful food and a wonderful experience, staff are friendly and ready to serve. Food was amazing and well worth the money which is reasonable priced and suited to any budget. A must visit for any occasion. Service with a smile. Atmosphere top notch. My only criticism is they have to many tables upstairs probably to maximise space. This is not a really issues if you like a more cozy environment.”

“Lovely Local in Ewloe, been coming in here off and on for years. Place is clean and well decorated with a fantastic beer garden out the back with booths. Great atmosphere regardless of time you come in especially the weekends and during the football. Max and the team are great and drinks are top quality served with a smile. I'd definitely recommend this place to others to come and visit.”

“First class delivery, decent sized portions, hot and tasty. All seven orders correct with each drivers name on the wrapping, delivers within 30 minutes, and some freebees chucked in too. Thank you for feeding us all, we'd of gone hungry as non of us expected to be here overnight”

“Very impressed! First order from here (on Christmas Eve of all days!), we got the cheeseburger, kids burger, chicken nuggets, fries and margarita pizza and it was all really good. Nuggets and fries had a slight seasoning to them, very mildly spicy which was very tasty (and I can't handle spice so must be good!) Clearly good quality ingredients and freshly made. The prices are really good, especially for what you get. Will definitely be ordering again soon!”

“I'm a DJ and classically trained chef. Onion bhajis were perfect not too much cumin and a mild heat. Chicken passanda had a rich velvety thick sauce, mild and sweet with coconut milk. The pilau rice perfectly fluffy light with the citrus taste of cardamon running through it. Perfect from start to finish.”
