“Stayed in a family room whilst at a family wedding. Check in was warm and welcoming and our room was spacious and well equipped. We ate in the restaurant the first evening and stayed for Sunday lunch before we left. Food was lovely on both occasions. The proximity to the beach and train station is a high plus point. Less than 10 minutes walk to each. We’d definitely consider staying here again when visiting family.”

“My partner& I have been going to Puddos since it opened. We are giving it 5* because you get what you pay for & more. The portions are fantastic, it’s well presented & the hot desserts are always hot on arrival. We went to the shop yesterday to collect and the owner is so welcoming and has put a lot of hard work and thought into his business. It’s a family run business and the desserts created are outstanding. They put a lot of care and thought into their desserts. And they are very generous with the chocolate sauces on top of the brownies, cookies & waffles, so that the dessert is not to dry which we have found most dessert places on the Wirral are not generous with and charge way more. We will forever support this local business for when we both want to have our weekend guilty pleasure:)”

“Good food and good value for money. We visited The Ferry on Tuesday lunch time. We sat upstairs, great views of the River Mersey and Liverpool skyline. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We ordered fish and chips ( from the lunch menu) chicken tikka masala and fish finger sandwich. All good portions and delicious. Definitely worth a visit.”

“My Dad loved this place he throughly enjoyed every meal here. Even though he did not live that local he definitely thought the visit was well worth it wether with friend or family he thought this was his go to place for eating in and I joined him and would not disagree. Food is great and prices are very good. A well recommended place.”

“Best Chinese chippy we have found in the wallasey area. Staff are really friendly. Authentic Chinese meals cooked fresh as you wait. A regular choice on takeaway nights. Favorite meal at the moment is special foo yung. Massive potions, enough for two to share. Nice touch is the free prawn crackers or drink if you spend over a certain amount.”

“Fabulous park served by a wonderful cafe but I was sad to hear that the current management of the cafe are not having their lease renewed. This is such a pity and I am sure it will have a detrimental effect. I went for several early evening walks in the summer just so that I could buy one of their fabulous ice cream cones. The two young people working there were so lovely and so friendly and the ice cream was to die for. I met a friend for lunch in there last week. The prices are unbelievable for what you get.”

“I was there last night with my ancient wheel-chair bound mother and i really wanted to say how wonderful all the staff were, especially the young lady ( whose name escapes me..Chenner was it?) who helped my Mum when she had trouble getting out of the loo. Really above and beyond. Thank you”

“Really extensive play area for the kids. Split into several different sections to help ensure safety of littler angels. Food is actually really tasty and quite well priced. Plenty of parking, Advise booking a time slot online and you get 2 hours which is plenty!”

“Had another lovely meal at Portofino. We were seated opposite the sea view. The general atmosphere in the restaurant is serene, a lot of effort has been made to create an authentic Italian feel. The food as always was top quality, a taste sensation and is very reasonably priced. I would recommend to anyone for romantic dining or even with the family or work fucntions. Tip- Make sure you order a garlic bread with cheese, it's too good not to!”

“Been using this place for as long as I can remember, back from when it was Poulton Tandoori, probably 30 years plus. It has been consistently great in all that time. The customer service is another thing that keeps us going back. They know us by name and our "usual" order. If you're looking for a great local gem that's family run and been at the heart of the local community for decades then you won't go wrong with Sweet Chilli. Tracy & Carl x”

“I picked up food from here this evening for takeaway. We had 1x halloumi kebab & 1 chicken kebab + chips and it was all amazing! The chicken was juicy and full of flavour and their bread is better than any bread in the area and came free. We used to use this restaurant often when we lived around here but moved away but we will definitely be back. Also the guy who served me on the front desk was really friendly and welcoming and definitely knew his stuff.”

“Ordered from here tonight for 12 people, 4 banquets and 7 other mains and sides. The lady in the phone was fabulous read my order back to me. The food arrived in 45 mins all hot and plenty to go around that I have a lot left for breakfast (best part). Will absolutely order from here again. Well done Happy Chinese new year”

“A great variety of english and chinese meals a variety of soft drinks cans and bottles there's various soups and starters there's such a variety of various meals for all tastes and very popular for all ages very good value for money the food is always hot and tasty family meals children's meals a good variety of sauces and accompanying sweet menu or afters and you can order online or in the shop or telephone orders they don't take long to sort out your order but always cooked perfectly and the staff are friendly and helpful and the prices are affordable.”
