“Best bar in Sutton! Good selection of beer and a selection of craft beers in the fridge. The roast on a Sunday is definitely a winner with really good portion sizes at a great price. Aaron and the team are fantastic with lots of great recommendations for craft beers and always give amazing service. There is a space available to rent for free for hosting larger groups upstairs and a small selection of board games available to play. The pub is dog friendly and has a doggo station with water and treats!”

“Rising Sun — A Pint of Comfort in Central London If a classic London pub could talk, Rising Sun would probably start with, “Pull up a chair, mate — I’ve got stories to tell.” Nestled on Tottenham Court Road, this spot isn’t just a place to grab a pint; it’s a little urban sanctuary where office chatter, tourist trails, and after-work musings converge. Atmosphere: Think polished wood, warm lighting, and a timeless charm that feels like stepping into a Victorian postcard — gently updated for modern comfort. Sports screens are present but never intrusive, adding energy without drowning conversation. Food: Honest British fare — fish & chips, burgers, Sunday roast. No culinary acrobatics, just solid, satisfying plates. Portions are generous, prices fair (£10–20 range), and vegetarians won’t feel like an afterthought. Drinks: A respectable selection of beers, especially if you appreciate cask ales. The bartenders know their stuff and are happy to guide you toward something you’ll enjoy.”

“Money wise spend! Superb staff, amazing prices. The only thing missing is food, but you can bring food from outside as I’ve been told. However three Guinness pints and a bag of crisps did not changed the pleasant experience.”

“A massive change has taken place. The pub has morphed from failing pub to a modern lounge restaurant serving freshly cooked food. Local rumours that it's now a strip joint are untrue and the blacked out windows do hide an expensive refurbishment. Looking more like a high end night club, an exciting new development and great night out.”

“Stopped here on a whim and we were not disappointed. Coffee was really good and the breakfast meals were enjoyed by all. Loved the golden colors of the eggs. Will definitely come back here again when in the area”

“I absolutely love the Everyman in Kings Cross! The bar area is lovely and cosy — the perfect spot to enjoy some food and drinks the film. The staff are always warm and welcoming. On my most recent visit, I came with a large group, and Lauren, Zion, Eva, and Jess looked after us brilliantly. They were super accommodating, and our food and drinks arrived quickly despite the big order. I’d highly recommend this Everyman to anyone looking for a fun date night or a relaxed evening out with friends!”

“At the beginning of October we had dinner in the outdoor area of the Balcony restaurant overlooking Covent Garden. We had Seared halibut, Honey roast carrots and Chargrilled vegetables with cheese tard. Everything was wonderful, and I would particularly like to highlight the service, friendly, attentive, professional.”

“Tried Kulu Kulu after seeing a review on TikTok, and it really lived up to the high expectations. We got there for exactly 5pm when they opened and there were already a couple of people waiting outside. The sushi started rolling pretty much straight away. There was a wide range of sushi available - cooked and raw, as well as hand rolls and other various side dishes. The prices were also reasonable (given the location) and the portion sizes of the sushi were fantastic. Highly recommend and I will definitely be visiting again”

“Went for the premium lunch menu as a birthday treat and it was all worth it. Delicious spinach salad to start, succulent gyozas, melt in your mouth tuna tartare and the sushi and sashimis were fresh tasting. Lamb cutlets are memorable, the beef fillet was cooked as we asked but definitely needs the ginger sauce to highlight it. Abundant rice given on the side. The server was so sweet singing happy birthday and personalising the dessert.”

“Genuinely delicious sushi and wonderful customer service. Irena at the front desk was lovely and very welcoming. Such a wide variety of options available and some cool and creative innovations available! Very good spread of classic and wacky sushi available and crucially, I think this place is a good gateway for people who are trying sushi for the first time or aren't too fond of it as it does everything well but also offers things like cooked sushi options. We only managed to go to the Romford branch which I believe is the smallest one - but nonetheless it had seats available and felt very homely! Can't wait to visit Uxbridge and Finsbury park branches next!”

“We had a great dinner here and really enjoyed the experience. The fish and chips were perfectly crispy and fresh, and the burger was juicy and full of flavor — exactly what you want from a good pub. A special mention goes to Nush, who looked after us during the evening. She was incredibly kind, friendly, and made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived.”

“We were walking along the riverfront and looking for a place to have a few drinks. None of the usual bars caught our eye, but the cocktail mene here did, so we went in. I have had the burgers before, and they are delicious, but I was pleasantly surprised by the cocktails too. The vibe and atmosphere was great too! Not just a good burger joint;)”

“Every visit to Handley’s is like a little moment of calm and kindness in my day. I had the 5 a day smoothie (again!) — it’s my favourite and never disappoints. Fresh, delicious, and just the pick-me-up I needed. What really makes Handley’s special, though, is the wonderful team behind the counter. The ladies are always so friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming — it feels more like popping in to see friends than just grabbing a drink. Highly recommend if you're in need of a smile and something yummy!”

“We recently celebrated our wedding with an intimate dinner for our closest friends and family in the beautiful Danby Room at The Ivy and we truly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect evening. From the moment we arrived, the service was nothing short of exceptional. A special mention must go to the incredible South African waiter Charl who looked after us throughout the evening and his charm truly elevated the entire experience. He made everyone feel so welcome and taken care of. The food was absolutely exquisite. Each course was beautifully presented and full of flavour our guests are still raving about it! From the starters to the desserts, everything was cooked to perfection and served with impeccable timing. I loved the crispy duck salad and the strawberry and elderflower trifle! And the cocktails were beautifully crafted! We are so grateful to The Ivy and the wonderful team in the Danby Room for making our wedding dinner truly unforgettable. It was elegant, joyful, and delicious in every way. Highly recommended for any special occasion! Thanks so much from Tom and Anita :)”

“There aren’t many places that do bagels these days, but if you fancy one here’s a place to visit. The bagel was nicely soft and the bacon was cooked properly, neither undercooked nor overly done. Weekday mornings tend to be quite quiet in this area and the service is normally very good. I took a photo of the menu for the people reading this review and wanting to know what’s being served.”

“QV has been on our list for some time and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere is lovely; very calm and cool - perfect for a very hot day in London! The staff were very attentive, without being overbearing and were able to answer our questions about the restaurant, the food etc. The drinks menu is excellent, so many beautiful cocktails! Of course, the menu and artwork, designed by John Broadley, were a treat to see - I immediately need to buy myself a print or two! The food is incredible; it is playful and hearty (a little like chef Lee I imagine). A few oysters to start, heaven. We couldn’t visit without trying the famed eel sandwich, and it is definitely worth the hype! The pie of the day with slow cooked lamb and salsa verde with suet pastry, was delicious and went well with a simple salad and fries on the side. Though we didn’t need any dessert, we couldn’t resist sharing the custard tart with rhubarb and pistachio - it doesn’t sound it but it was surprisingly light! We left feeling very full, and very satisfied!”

“Had a nice meal here for my Aunts birthday. It was quite busy but not noisy. The fixed price lunch menu was good value. The a la carte looked a bit pricey! I had the ribs my aunt had the salmon. We were served by the delightful Alissa and really enjoyed the food and the ambience. Recommended.”

“We had a wonderful time at Mber. We had gone with no expectations and were pleasantly surprised! Each single dish was delicious! The lotus stem thing was so yum n crispy that we ordered it thrice!! and the pork sliders twice! the soft shell crab bao was finger-licking good..with a very unique different twist in the taste! The service was superbly on point! we loved meeting Gemma, Nabeel and Connor! They were very warm, friendly and super efficient! Nabeel even made a cocktail specifically for us! The ambience was just right, we could have a conversation easily and really have a nice relaxed time.”

“Wha a delight this place is! Right near The Nellie Dean, a pub I love, a great location. Food was absolutely delicious, absolutely singing with flavour and lots of seasoning. Dishes were skillfully cooked and presented (halibut beautifully done, clearly butter-basted), pricing much fairer than many similar restaurants (including the wine - nothing's cheap now, but the options were appreciated and the Cotes du Rhone lovely), and all the staff were so friendly, polite and professional. I want to thank the staff/chefs as this was a birthday dinner for my partner, and she loved it as well!”

“Tasty food and good size portions as you would expect in Turkish restaurant. Had the Centik Special and I have to highlight the flavour of the tomato sauce, it was so rich and tasted like the real thing (is difficult to find this in the UK). Our waiter was super friendly and approachable. Before ordering I thought it was slightly expensive but we left satisfied, with good quality food, not greasy and a great service. Also service is not charged on top like most other places. So overall it was very good value for money. Will return.”

“We needed somewhere to celebrate a life. We were lucky enough to choose Lisa's bar at the Stockley Park Golf Clubhouse. They provided a really good buffet for around 100 guests. We were able to display some memories on a TV screen. The service and everything about the day made a very sad occasion as pleasant as possible. Staff were all great. Happily recommend for any occasion. Thank all involved.”
