He was seen asap for triage and not long after for treatment and dressing. They put Lister hospital to shame with how quick they were. The staff were all very helpful and very good. Your care, kindness and speed was very much appreciated. *Update* We've been back a few times to their burns ward for redressing and checks (I've also redressed at home to) and they have been great and very thorough. “I believe that every experience is personal. We live in London and our son is a second-year student at Surrey University. Today, we found out that he went to A&E because he wasn't feeling well. The outcome is a severe infection, suspected meningitis. We, worried parents, drove to Guildford as soon as we found out that he was in hospital. At the moment, he is in hospital, and from his arrival at A&E to admission, the staff were terrific—very professional and caring. We could not thank them enough. When we arrived to see our child, the staff was invaluable and informative. From our previous experiences in London hospital wards over the years, it felt like VIP treatment. Absolutely outstanding staff! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for saving our son's life.”

The staff were respectful, caring and supportive. The hospital held the safety of patients as of utter most importance and restrictions were enforced only when people were at risk. Right from the start of my admission I was given meaningful and attainable goals, with an ethos of praise and encouragement for each step forward, no matter how small. Psychology and O.T. interventions were well organised and helpful. As staff were regularly moved across different wards I have no doubt that the experience I had on Upping Ward was a reflection of the care given throughout the hospital.”
