“The food here is very much a six star award. Service exemplary. I gave 4 stars for atmosphere because, sadly, we were the only people in the dining area on a Friday night. I guess all other diners were savouring the heady delights of a Big Mac! They don't know what they are missing. I would also guess that being an hotel people mistakenly have the impression that it is just that, somewhere to sleep and have breakfast before you go elsewhere. MISTAKE! If you like good food in clean surroundings with good professional service, then they The Mandolay. You won't be disappointed.”

I had the ribeye steak and my wife chose the fish and chips—both dishes were cooked to absolute perfection. The draft beer was fresh, the Prosecco crisp and perfectly chilled, and the whole atmosphere made for a really enjoyable evening. A special mention to our waiter, Vincy, whose service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming throughout the meal. Overall, a fantastic experience from start to finish. We’ll definitely be returning in June next year when we stay again. Highly recommended!”

The packaging was to a high standard ensuring nothing would fall out or get cold, as was the food. I have tried other shops in the area but have found they are not as good as this place. The prices are 100% worth it, as they reflect the top quality of the food. I think I have found my new go to kebab takeaway that is reliable and extremely impressive in terms of how pipping hot the food is and the fantastic flavours that are soo tasty.”

Staff were friendly, although not having any takeaway options weakens the overall proposition, I'd say. In response to the owner, I would say having basic takeout boxes so that burgers, salads, healthy bowls and sides can be takeaway (basically most of the menu). I think the food is good enough to be on delivery apps too.”
