“Exceptional quality and service! From the moment I walked into Richmond Kitchens, the whole experience was a pleasure. The end result is a beautiful kitchen that’s genuinely beyond what I expected. They use Leicht kitchens, which are absolutely stunning — top quality and fully bespoke to your space. There’s also a huge range of worktops and appliances to choose from, so it really feels tailored to you. Matt’s design was brilliant. He made the most of the space and adapted the plan seamlessly to fit with the building work, including new windows and doors. The installation was on time, done to perfection and any small follow-up bits were sorted quickly and efficiently. I spoke to a few other local suppliers before deciding but it was the quality and level of service that drew me to Richmond Kitchens and they completely delivered.”

The use of spices was incredible, if you order the potatoes (Aloo Tuk) you will spend the entire meal trying to figure out what they are seasoned with. Absolute magic. “Wonderful experience and lovely interior that introduces hair cuts to the littles in the most fun and entertaining way. The hairdresser is incredibly experienced, patient and kind. She cut our toddler's hair perfectly and charged a fraction of what you would pay at other children's hair salons in London. Highly recommended! And also, do go for the first haircut package, it's absolutely worth it.”

“We were served by Fabiene and Eric at the Richmond store on Saturday and it was possibly the best sales experience we’ve ever experienced, regardless of what we were purchasing. The store room itself was stunning and from the second we arrived we were looked after brilliantly by both Fabiane and Eric. Fabiane was attentive without ever being pushy, and knows so much about the products offered. We felt very comfortable to make our purchase with her support. She also offered a box of toys to keep our two young children entertained (game changer!) and we were served a hot drink within minutes of entering the store. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Raft Richmond to anyone, and infact already have!”

“the views from the cafe are beautiful and very peaceful! the prices were reasonable and there was plenty of seating so we were able to sit outside and take in the view in the lovely weather! the cake was delicious and service was fast. it is only a short walk from the nearby car park and is close to King Henry's Mound! will definitely be returning. :)”

“It was a stupidly hot late June day and as we were traveling back from Hampton Court Palace, we met a local whose parents also happened to be staying at the same hotel (The Selwyn) as us. We were on the last leg of four straight weeks of international travel and safari…we were EXHAUSTED and wanted a good simple dinner super close to the hotel and The Red Cow was recommended to us. The bartender was awesome, but made my day when he noticed how hot and tired we looked and brought me a pint glass filled to the brim with ice, to go with my fruity cider I was trying. Divine! Small gesture, big impact. Enjoyed a delicious dinner, football match on the tv, and we’d stay here instead of The Selwyn next visit. Also, don’t recall the name of this drink he recommended, but it was perfect at the end of a long, hot day. Thank you!”

“Quiet hostel with decent rooms. The room I stayed in had a twin bunk bed which was good for me since I was traveling alone. I stayed for one night . The downstairs is a bar in the evening. Overall it was a good hostel with a relaxed vibe.”

I loved the pizza and pasta we shared - sorry no photos of the Ndjua pizza or sage / butter ravioli as we were too busy eating it! Would highly recommend- avoid the tourist traps and go here. “A very pleasant and cosy stay just below Richmond Hill. The place is quaint and has lots of atmosphere. For an older property, the room was spacious and comfortable and had everything I needed. The pub/restaurant downstairs was charming and though I didn't get a chance to eat there, the menu looked delicious. Staff were friendly, and I enjoyed my brief stay and would happily stay again. Note that it's a short walk into town/shops/restaurants, and the walk up to Richmond Hill itself is short but fairly steep if you have any mobility issues. Thanks for the pleasant stay and I hope to visit again.”
