“Living in Notting Hill, you’re spoiled for choice of nurseries. I toured every one and my decision was easy. Being in Ladbroke Square Montessori feels like a warm hug. You can literally feel the joy exuding from the place. The children are engaged and thoughtful and most importantly thrilled to be there. The school truly puts children first. Offering every child a morning spot is a perfect example of this since most children are still napping when they start nursery. The lovely garden in the back and weekly visits to the gorgeous Ladbroke Square are two amazing perks. My daughter is actually disappointed on weekends because she is not going to nursery. She’s learned key skills and is set up for success to have a smooth transition to reception. I have made lifelong friends there as well as my children. I have now sent 2 children to nursery at Ladbroke Square. Best decision I ever made. It’s such a special place.”

“Our daughter started at Unity in September. We were apprehensive about her settling in as she had not settled in at her previous nursery. All the staff at Unity are so warm and caring that within a few weeks our daughter was ready to say bye to us and confidently walk in on her own. We were so happy and surprised at how much she loved being there every day. Her speech and language had developed quickly and she has grown in confidence. “My Son just finished preschool and he is so well prepared to go to school now and all this is the good work the blossom Years preschool staff have done. My son was talking a little bit when he first started and now his vocabulary is expanded. I am so happy with all the staff there but especially with Julie and Galina, they have always been there to support me and answer my questions as well as looking after my son. “My sons have attend the nursery one is shy and the other very lively and not so shy! The nursery has been really good in teaching and using creativity. My son is always bring home drawings and creations and loves seeing them at home. He really loved a counting book that nursery made that he brought home. Really helped with his counting. Staff are friendly and responsive to parents questions.”

“My eldest has been going to Jigsaw since he was 3yrs old and our second quickly followed suit; they are now 7 and 5 respectively and it’s been incredible to watch their growth and also to see how much they enjoy their classes and the friendships they have made. Both of them have no qualms about being on stage at school and I’m sure that their time at Jigsaw has played a huge part in that! The end of term performances are always a highlight and our children are so proud of themselves and excited that we are coming to watch. We also really enjoy reading the individual reports that the teachers have taken the time out to write. Our youngest is just turning 3 and will now be starting her first term! Most classes for 3yr olds require parents to be present so we were slightly nervous when our son started but not now with our youngest; the staff are exceptional and it’s great for their confidence to enjoy a class without parents at that age. Would definitely recommend!”

“Fantastic ballet school. My daughter has been attending for the past few months. We have tried other ballet schools within the area, but found that there was not enough attention and ethos on learning, they seemed more focused on playing games and entertaining the children. With Nutcracker ballet school you really get a mixture of learning and fun. The lessons are very structured and allot of thought and effort goes into them. Would definitely recommend.”

“Our family has been so impressed with the dedicated teaching at Jayne Marie Dancing School. Every child is developed to their full potential and the standard set is the highest. The pupils are entered for exams to mark their progress but also have the chance to experience the joy of taking part in shows produced to a professional standard . “Les Chatons is simply a wonderful nursery -- we couldn't ask for a better place to send our 3 year old. She has been attending Les Chatons for over a year and in that time has developed in so many aspects, not least in her grasp of French and Spanish. Our daughter absolutely loves the wonderful teachers and her time there, so much so that she has asked me to increase the number of days that she attends. Marie-Laurence impressed us from our first meeting with her when we were looking at different nurseries. She clearly has a deep knowledge of early education and has done an amazing job at combining skills development with a warm, caring and fun environment that allows plenty of space for kids to be kids. Les Chatons also stands apart in how flexible they are in accommodating different schedules and how well they communicate with us as parents, both on a daily basis and with termly progress reports and meetings. I cannot say enough good things about Les Chatons -- we, and importantly, our daughter, absolutely love the nursery and staff and will be very sad to move on! If you are looking to push yourself to the next level LDC will help you be the best you can be in a really welcoming environment. The team is very social and is a great way to also make lifelong bonds with fellow cheerleaders. I would recommend the team to anyone who is looking to be part of something amazing. “My eldest daughter (now at school) absolutely loved Kia Mena and still talks about her amazing time there. My youngest is still at Kia Mena and she also loves it and is having the best time. The teachers/teaching assistants are exceptional and keep us updated on all that goes on. They are the backbone of the pre-school and we’re truly grateful for all the love and care they provide for not only the children but also for the parents/carers and the community itself. Its been almost 4 years that I’ve been taking my girls to Kia Mena and the high retention of lovely and high valued staff has meant that it has a lovely, warm and family feel to it. It’s been amazing and I’m so grateful for all they have done. My youngest will start school this year and we’ll all truly miss coming back to Kia Mena. Thank you for everything!!”

“We send all three of our kids to Spotlights West Wickham and they love it. They come back every afternoon gushing about what they have learnt and performed. During their time with Spotlights they have performed in four full length musical shows which they have found extremely rewarding. It has boosted their confidence and their musical abilities, and they have made friends with children of different ages. The fact that the tutors are all working actors with professional film/TV/theatre experience is also a plus.”

“My daughter has been attending Jigsaw since she was 11. She’s now 15 and still loves it. I can honestly say out of all the many activities she has done this has been the best and is her absolute favourite. She is really excelling in performing arts now and her confidence has grown so much thanks to Jigsaw. She mentioned the other day that there is something special about Jigsaw in that everyone who comes is made to feel welcome and part of the family because Meg and all the teachers are so warm and encouraging. “I've been having regular lessons from Lindsay for three months now, and the swimming lessons are really excellent. Lindsay has a wealth of technical knowledge and swimming experience that really shows. She also is a great coach, technique is taught clearly and she adapts what to focus on in each lesson based on my individual ability and current progress - this helps make the learning process more effective and learning technique more digestible. Lindsay has a patient and energetic coaching style, and I'm seeing great progress against my own swim goals - thank you! I'm fairly new to the triathlon world, and prior to starting with Turner Swim, I've previously really struggled with swimming, and nearly gave up triathlons as a result. However, I decided to get lessons with Turner Swim - I'm so pleased I did! I'm more confident, and my swimming progress has been greater than I personally expected so I'm really pleased!”

“The BOSS Acting School is a super after-school activity for young ones! My little one loves the fact that she gets to act, sing, dance and do her own choreography. Sam and Jenn are so warm, bubbly and energetic. As a parent, you can tell how much they genuinely love working with the children. Would highly recommend!”

“Melrose is an outstanding nursery. It’s an incredibly special place and I feel so lucky that my daughter got to spend the most important formative years here.I am actually getting emotional writing this review as they have provided such a loving, nurturing, safe place for my daughter to grow and we’re devastated to leave. Sadly we’re leaving London or else she would be staying at Melrose until she attends School. Mel, Damaris, Jam and the staff are the most positive and loving caretakers. My daughter would be running through the door in the morning and at only 3 years old she knows her colors, shapes, numbers and phonetics. They’ve created a unique environment where even a 3 year old is excited to learn through play. I would try your hardest to get a place here if you can.”

“My son has been swimming with Goggle Squad since November and is really enjoying it. His confidence around the water has always been great but he’s been making rapid progress with the actual swimming since starting. The small classes with children of similar age really allow the teacher to focus on each child individually and the pool facilities are great too!”

“Suzy was amazing at helping us with our first dance for our wedding day. We knew what we wanted and she was quick to help us with our two left feet and quickly created a routine that helped us feel confident that on the day of our wedding we would be able to look like we knew what we were doing. The time spent with her was really enjoyable and we left each session with a drive to keep practicing and desire to do more lessons in the future! “We couldn't believe how our daughter has progressed with Robyn's piano lessons. After just one term she is confidently playing songs and sight reading both the treble and bass clef. Robyn has a great teaching style and has really connected with our 6 year old. I have bass guitar lessons with Robyn and she adapted her teaching style to suit me (I am not six)! I really enjoy the lessons, she teaches in such a way it doesn't feel like a chore and I am getting the most out of my bass. The end of term concerts are a great opportunity to see how the children and adults are progressing - a lovely idea, keep it up.”
