“Amazing Chinese store with a huge variety of halal options from across Asia. You can find products from many different Asian countries all in one place. The selection is impressive and hard to find elsewhere. Highly recommended — the experience really reminded me of Hong Kong with its diversity, flavours, and vibrant atmosphere. “Stayed here for 2 weeks and that is my second 2 week stay this year. First week the room was small, like Harry Potters cupboard under the stairs small but had all the amenities still. Was clean, well stocked and did exactly what I needed it to do but was too small to relax in after a hard day's work. I didn't dine in the restaurant, not because the food wasn't nice, I ate in their on my previous visit and it was delicious but I did venture out this time. The second best bit about the stay? Breakfast, not only was breakfast delicious, always well stocked but they REALLY need a new coffee machine! The number 1 thing...CAROL K...She was outstanding! SOOOO funny, but lovely too. Made coming down on a morning a pleasure. No plans to go to Manchester again soon but would happily stay there to go and see Carol K again.”

“From the moment I stepped in, this place just felt welcoming. An actual key for the room gave it a charming, personal touch you don’t often see anymore. Free parking, free WiFi, and a bed so comfortable I nearly missed checkout – all at a price that’s hard to beat. The building may be older, but it’s clearly loved and cared for, and it shows. A special mention to Carla, who I spoke to in the morning – she was outstanding. Passionate about the local area and genuinely invested in guests having a great time, she’s a real asset to the business. If she worked at my company, it would be a better place. Any future visits to Manchester – this will be my go-to hotel.”

“It was lovely and for tourists interested in visiting Old Trafford, this is super close. The bus system is great so we could stay here even though our event was at the University of Manchester. The breakfast was beautiful and fun, and we didn't have to break our banks.”

“Great service by everyone, free breakfast, smiley faces. Quiet place. But the location is abit poor. It's too far from man city center and from everything really. But the staff were absolutely brilliant. Dated decor but clean”

“Three of us stayed two nights whilst attending a family event nearby. We found the hotel clean, warm and comfortable, the staff extremely welcoming and very, very helpful. The breakfast was generous and well prepared with a huge selection of fruit, cheeses, cereals and pastries to chose from including nuts and seeds to sprinkle plus jams, honey etc on tap, none of those horrid little polluting plastic containers. The restaurant is bright and airy with comfortable seating and lovely views of the garden. This is a great hotel if you need outdoor space, there are huge lawns and patio areas. We found parking easy though at busier times that may be an issue, it's not huge. We ate in the restaurant one evening and we're pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and my daughter's need for lacto- and gluten-free catered for. Our room was adequately spacious even with the (very comfy) sofa-bed open for use, when it's folded away it would be a very generous space, great lighting too, the separate bathroom and toilet makes for convenience when sharing, that's rare in a modern hotel. We left a precious item behind and the staff very kindly prepared it for posting back and it arrived safely. It was our first experience of Novotel and we wouldn't hesitate to use this one again and highly recommend it.”

“Had a lovely family meal here, and the staff were so friendly and accomodating. Management here is clearly exceptional, as the service was very quick and everyone was very polite and helpful. A special mention to Rob who went above and beyond for my family, making sure all the food and drinks were ok (I can confirm they were delicious). “The burgers are on point, 7 of us got burger meal, wings and a wrap meal. We spent around £45. Everything was on point, the burger was succulent and the flavour was just perfect, the fries were perfectly seasoned and they just hit the spot. We drove 3 hours just to have these burgers. Definitely worth a try.”

“The perfect airport hotel. A complementary shuttle bus is available from the airport, which arrived to pick me up just outside the terminal. From my arrival in reception I was greeted by very attentive and friendly staff - the place has a feeling of being orderly and efficient yet still maintaining that relaxed atmosphere. My room had a comfortable bed, super soft sheets and was quiet - I couldn’t hear any noise from the airport. The selection and quality of the buffet breakfast was brilliant. Everything you could want prepared and displayed to an high standard. Mike and John were going over and above to ensure all guests had a great experience. Overall I was impressed with my stay, and glad I chose this hotel after a very long flight.”

He was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed throughout my meal. His warm and thoughtful service truly made the experience even better. Highly recommend!”

“I visited Subway recently and was served by Joe. Despite the store being clearly understaffed and a constant stream of Deliveroo orders coming in, Joe remained calm, patient, and professional throughout. It did take a bit longer than usual to get my order, but it was clear the delay wasn’t his fault – he was handling a lot on his own. Joe made sure to greet every customer politely, took time to get each order right, and didn’t let the pressure affect his service. I really appreciated his positive attitude and attention to detail, even in a hectic situation. If anything, Subway needs to make sure their staff aren’t left to manage such a high workload alone. Joe did a great job under the circumstances, and his customer service deserves recognition. I visited on the 29th June 2025 around 17:30.”

“Had a great experience at Nando’s. Ordered the half chicken, coleslaw, and halloumi, and honestly everything was banging — perfectly cooked, fresh, and full of flavour. Special shoutout to Haris, who was absolutely top-tier. Super friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. You can tell he actually cares about customer service, which makes a big difference. Food was spot on, service was excellent, and the vibe was great. Will definitely be coming back.”
