“Just spent a fantastic week at Swan lake villa and cant thank all the staff at The Real Algarve enough for all there help in choosing just the right villa for all 13 of us. Enjoyed it that much have booked to go back already. Great service in the Algarve from The Chauffeur company. The villa is a bit tired now and could do with a little refurb however the grounds Pool and Tennis courts are amazing and make up for it as almost all our time was spent out doors. We ate outdoors all the time on the huge terrace and had enough space around the massive table for all of us. Cant fault a single thing in the service we received, cant wait to be back”

“We had an absolutely wonderful experience celebrating my sister’s birthday! I initially came across the restaurant on Google while searching for gluten-free options, and I love how it caters so thoughtfully to people with allergies. From start to finish, the service was exceptional. Huge thanks especially to Salvador, he went above and beyond to explain gluten-free options and made the evening truly memorable. The restaurant’s decor, the cake, and the food created a warm, celebratory atmosphere. My sister was submitting her master’s thesis on the same day and wasn’t initially in a celebratory mood, but the team made the day unforgettable. I had the Spaghetti Aragosta e Gamberoni and asked for extra chili and a slice of lemon, and Ericka provided it quickly with a friendly, helpful attitude, her service was great as well. Compliments to the chef too: my sister had the gluten- free pizza and said it was the best she’s ever had! Thank you again, Salvador, we will definitely be back. It’s service like this that makes places truly memorable!”

“I took my friend to show him what I think is one of the most amazing pubs in Manchester, with great history, however when we visited at about 14.20 on Wednesday ( just in case the owner wants to speak to her ) the person behind the bar was the most miserable, unpleasant, uninterested bar person I have come across in a long time , she even struggled to ask for our order she was so disinterested Even when people were coming in from graduation, who were all very excited she just couldn’t be bothered speaking to anyone , apart from her friend at the end of the bar If I do visit again , and she is there we will just walk straight out and go somewhere we are welcome”

“Love this pub inside and out. It’s got so much history and charm. The building used to be the Manchester & Salford Children’s Mission back in Victorian times, where they ran a kitchen for kids and the homeless. Now it’s this brilliant underground pub, and you can still see the old glazed brick walls when you head downstairs, which just adds to the atmosphere. I’d love to see more of that story told inside. There are a few old photos up, but no info with them... a bit of context would make it even better. Doesn’t put me off going though, it’s still one of my favourite spots in Manchester.”

They all were so kind and patient with me and my endless questions, and on the multiple occasions where I panicked and thought I wouldn't be able to go. They truly help you with every single thing and help you every step of the way. My very anxious self couldn't ask for anything more, and I ended up having a life-changing summer! Such a fab company, definitely recommend!”

The current management team are very friendly & helpful. Beers are stocked from far & wide including some unusual regional specials, eg Neptune from Maghull, that you are unlikely to find elsewhere in the city centre. Flying Horse Hotel

    ★★★★☆ 4.5
    Open

“My mate and I decided to go for a pub lunch and he suggested Rochdale plus more importantly The Flying Horse. He drove as he rarely drinks and the weather was classic North West rain. However, the pub was warm and welcoming so we sat at a table next to the cosy open fire. While we there the fire was topped up with firewood on a regular basis, by a member of staff. I had a pint of Ossett White Rat beer and my mate had a pint of lemonade. We were served promptly by attentive pleasant staff. As I am a member of CAMRA , I showed my card and the beer price already reasonably price, was further discounted. See the picture of the large selection of hand pull beers and prices. We both decided to have a Lancashire classic: “Rag pudding”with proper chips, mushy peas and gravy. Normally £8.75 but two meals for £14! Another bargain! I had a second pint of beer, then we had a desert that was generous in size, served by a friendly young woman. On finishing our dinner it was time to go out into cold outside. Used the toilets that were clean as expected. I can thoroughly recommend this pub / restaurant”

“I recently stayed at the Kimpton Clocktower Hotel and had a wonderful experience. The service throughout my stay was excellent — staff were attentive, friendly, and always happy to help. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and well maintained, making for a very pleasant stay. What really makes this hotel stand out is its beautiful building and rich history. Housed in a stunning Grade II listed Victorian building, the architecture and design carry a timeless charm. The interiors blend classic character with modern luxury perfectly — the high ceilings, ornate details, and stylish décor keep the historic essence alive while still feeling contemporary and inviting. Overall, it’s a perfect mix of history, comfort, and elegance right in the heart of Manchester. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable stay with a touch of heritage.”

“A lovely traditional park with lots to see and do. The park has good play areas for the little ones which includes a water fountain play area in the summer months. A lovely coffee shop in the centre of the park with an ice cream van present near the play areas for most of the warmer months. There are also bowling greens, a duck pond and aviary with various types of birds to look at. Worth a visit if you're in the area and an excellent way to kill a few hours for free.”

“Always a winner for service and smiles! Seriously, what makes this place so great? It's the staff, every single time. In all the years I've been coming to Wagamama Media City, the team has been absolutely amazing. It's often a bit quieter than it should be, but honestly, the customer service is bang on—they are so attentive and welcoming! I went with a classic this time: one of their donburi rice dishes, a side of gyoza, and a few extra chilies to spice things up, and I was sorted! Plenty of smiles all round, and they've genuinely never let me down. Highly recommend a visit! I hope they see it and feel the love!”
