“Spent a Saturday afternoon here for a friend's birthday, we opted for the £30 meal and drinks deal. The food choices were great, the cocktails were delightful and the staff were very attentive couldn't do enough for us. Great atmosphere and a fabulous afternoon.”

“Had a great all you can eat breakfast at Oakley Hay. Everything was cooked fresh and the quality was of the highest standards. My wife had vegetarian sausage and bacon which we ordered as we were seated she really enjoyed it . Big shout out to the chef as everything was cooked to perfection. Also a big thankyou to the gentleman that served us so sorry I never got your name but can be seen working away in the 1st picture. This morning it was really busy but as they say quality speaks louder than words. Without hesitation we will definitely be back when we are in the area. “What a gem of a pub! So deceiving from the outside, looks like a small locals pub that opens up to a larger welcoming pub! Great range of beers, an open fire, pool table and live bands, what more can you ask for….. Oh did I mention that they have a food outlet visit and operate from the car park? That’s why we visited and so glad we did! Great pub well worth a visit and will be back again.”

“Been here a couple of times now, fantastic food, superb service and a very relaxing environment. Highly recommended. No alcohol is served here. They do however have shisha to rent with a variety of flavours. Great value for money also ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Parking is a bit of a challenge in the local area though”

“What a great find - rooms are clean, spacious and the beds are very comfy. Located right near the A1 but very quiet so sleep isn't a problem. Free parking right out the front is a bonus. Breakfast is provided in the adjacent atmospheric 1600's pub - delicious! Staff provided a warm welcome and gave some great recommendations on things to do around the area and beyond. Couldn't have asked for better for our first night in the UK! Thank you!”

“We held our wedding reception here in July. Roy and Paula (and the rest of the team!) went over and beyond to make our wedding perfect. Due to various reasons we used the White Hart last minute, and they really were great. Let us in the night before and stayed open until the early hours letting us decorate, let us move around their whole pub to create the atmosphere we wanted, gave us some great drink deals for our reception, helped us with our buffet and really just went over and beyond - Roy even wore a pink tie to match our colour scheme! Thank you so much, really would recommend to anyone wanting to host an event in Shefford.”

“I had recently booked the pub for my partners birthday.. the landlady April was very accommodating and was very helpful, April even offered to set up tables and decorated the place for me she and her staff did an amazing job The staff were all very lovely and helpful and the service was very good. There where children who came to the party, and again April and staff where lovley with them, and very understanding when the children where acting up a little. Everyone who came to the pub commented on how lovley the pub was and the staff. I want to say thank you for having us, and we will see you all again soon.”

“I honestly don't know what people are moaning about. We pulled up on the boat. Free of charge And were greeted with great hospitality. We had the best cider and food was delicious the fish and chips was the best ever fish was nice and thick. Chips were awesome cooked perfectly home made tarter sauce hot. Butter to melt over extra crusty bread. My cheese and chicken leak pie was hand made cooked in an oven skillet pan , beautiful and ate outside before falling asleep on the boat woke up had cappachino and cooked breakfast. Claiton was lovely my cappachino was taken to a sunny table in the garden. Best experience ever.”

“We had a wonderful lunch at the Spinney Hill. Our table had been pre-booked for 8 guests and on arrival we were welcomed at the bar then shown to our reserved tables. Everywhere was clean. The menu chosen was the senior menu which offered a great choice and excellent value for money. Food service was speedy, attentative and all of the guests enjoyed their meal. We had starter between us, chicken and beef roast and 2 soft drinks and it came up to just under £50. Can't recommend enough.”

“Booked a table for 6, seated promptly, extremely busy time of the day and every table full, they still managed to serve quickly at the carvery station with lots of choice and replaced anything that was running low immediately, the atmosphere was very pleasant, family dining at its best, the food is fresh and filling, the cake after was delicious but no way we could eat it in 1 go. Its huge but from start to finish a real pleasure. And the staff are speedy. Friendly and efficient”

“Large comfy bed in a spacious room. The shower had good pressure and the staff were lovely. They accommodated our little dog kindly. I plan to go back and try their food.”

“This is a lovely hotel to stay in. The location is great and is on a road with lots of shops and takeaway food options if you don't want to use on the on site restaurant. There is a large free car park to the rear of the property which felt safe to park in. The room was comfortable and had all the basic equipment. My only gripe was that there was nowhere to sit. I did find the room too warm for me but understand that this is personal preference and for others the temperature would probably be good. However there was a large fan provided so this helped by creating some airflow. The bed was very large and comfortable. It was two single mattresses pushed together to make a large bed. It was slightly uncomfortable over the join where the two mattresses met but I quickly got used to this and it did not affect my sleep. The bathroom was fantastic. The shower was a large walk in that was big enough to fit 2-3 people comfortably. It had two shower heads, a large fixed rainfall head and a movable traditional shower head. The temperature and pressure was great. There was also a separate bath which I did not use but was a good size and had a seat built into the side. Internet connectivity was excellent and was fast and reliable with speeds of 50+ mbps which was great to have. My only negative was the room I was in was next to the 24 hour access door and so this was noisy at times with people coming and going but this is only a small issue and would not affect others in different rooms. Overall I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would happily stay again if I was in the area again”
