What immediately struck me was the friendly and engaging atmosphere with a well stocked gun room and accessories shop. Ultimately, the quality of the buying experience is as much about the people. Special mention therefore to Matt, an RFD with immense knowledge, whose friendly patience and unwavering support cannot be too highly commended. Always willing to help me, demonstrate the guns and go the extra mile. Also ably assisted by Jonti in the shop; an equally friendly font of knowledge and a great shotgun instructor. Highly recommended. Good people and the personal touch”

I received a warm welcome from these two, as well as group members, and they have me completely hooked! My mental and physical wellbeing are much improved and I learn something new from every lesson. “Adele is amazingly warm and friendly and a great communicator. I have just started the beginners yoga and having never done yoga before I have already found it so beneficial and can't wait to come back every Wednesday evening. Loved first session so much so, I came back for an extra yin yoga class which was great. The facilities are lovely and very warm - the underfloor heating was a very good decision! “Recently joined Saxon Pool on a swim membership. Pool and changing areas are clean and the staff are friendly (special shout out to super polite Sophie). A few more late quiet swims on the timetable would be welcomed, but in all honestly we are impressed and highly recommend.”

“Medium sized fun pool with tepid water. Allows diving in the deep end when safe and with a variety of water jets in the shallows with a small water slide it's a great place to spend a fun hour or 2. Cafe and pool viewing area are cosy with easy access to the toilets and ample safe for buggys, groups and boisterous small parties!!”

I was allowed to sit inside whilst she had her interview to ensure I was comfortable and was offered water I did not catch the guys name but he was friendly and welcoming I would highly recommend as if the staff are as friendly and welcoming as him then it makes for a pleasant experience.”

“Best gym in town. It has everything you need and staff are always on hand if you don’t know how some of the ‘machinery’ work. Reception ladies always smiling and happy to help and if you manage to trip over your 2 feet, lifeguards are there to give you an ice pack. Highly recommend!”

“I was visiting from the U.S. and missing my swim time. I was very grateful for the day pass to enjoy the pool. I desperately needed to fill the hours between the site sighting excursions planned by my host family. The staff was kind and accommodating and locker/shower facilities were satisfactory. The hot tub wasn’t working one day and not hot the other, but the steam room was just what I needed to unwind. Although I was far from home, I felt perfectly comfortable.”

“I have been using the facilities at Woughton Leisure Centre more than 30 years starting with my sons learning to swim who are now adults with their children having done swimming lessons there this past summer. I learnt to swim there when I retired in 2021 and now hold a swim membership. As well as swimming I have played badminton weekly again over 35 years. Apart from the facilities the staff have without fail offered a highly professional and friendly service in particular Hannah, Mark, Dean and Niki. Twice I had brain fog and confused about which locker I thought was mine , Mark and Hannah came to my rescue and were very understanding when they assisted me on finding my correct. Woughton Leisure plays a very important role in keeping me healthy.”

“I have read a lot of negative comments about this place. Trust me, it’s not that bad. Gym is great, swimming area is good and personal coaching is amazing. The changing rooms were not that bad like other gyms. They are going to have a new renovation plan for this area in September so fingers crossed for the new setup.”

“So yes, it is an old pool, but the pros massively outweigh the cons and there are some quite unreasonable reviews here. Pros:- 33 metre pool, Lovely staff, Lovely community vibe, Wide lanes, More flexible swimming times, Properly hot showers, Big changing cubicles (useful if you're 6ft3 like me) Decent pool temperature so you can really go for it when you swim. Cons:- It is old so there are rust marks that have built up over the decades, giving it an untidy/grubby look, although it is as clean as any other pool. Unfair and generally negative reviews about teeny things by unsympathetic people. The negative reviews about this pool stopped me trying it for 3 years and the only reason I went was because the Kempston one was closed for a period of time. It is in need of a refurbishment as it is an old pool, but it isn't any dirtier than any other pool I've been to. The one in Barnet North London is pretty much a brand new centre, and I've seen that one in significantly worse states than Robinsons due to customers being gross and disrespectful. So, if you want to go swimming in a nice, well maintained, historical pool with a great community vibe, nice respectful people, spacious lanes, is open when you want, and you can understand that it has battle scars from years of service, then this is the pool for you.”

“Absolutely brilliant service from this company which far supercedes the nightmare purchase I had with a similar firm. I bought a Reebok Jet 200 treadmill from them through Amazon, and they were very professional with the order from start to finish. The delivery firm was excellent, and I can not fault the packing or assembly of the equipment. Many thanks.”

“This pool is a really nice place to swim and train. The staff are excellent. My wife is paraplegic and enjoys swimming unfortunately most of the pools in the area, although they all have disabled access the staff at Kettering pool make it much more pleasant. There is nothing that is too much trouble for the staff. They are all patient, friendly and informative. I feel that it is the staff here that make this such and enjoyable palce to swim. The hoist to get in and out ofbthe pool is an old pump style and it is hard work for the staff yet not once have I heard any member of affairs complain or grumble about this. A big thanks to the staff at Kettering pool.”

“My first visit there , so I've only seen the gym. My wellness app barcode , didn't work , but this appears to be an issue between the 2 companies. However the lady on reception was really patient and helpful and got me set up. The gym was very well equipped , not too busy and lots of natural light Pretty impressed”

“I popped in here whilst my car was still in the garage for late repair. I visited this centre on Monday 27/10/25 at around 4pm. The facility is good, and has free weight gym, swimming pool, sauna and steam. Very spacious leisure centre. What stood out the most were the kind receptionists. They helped me out with a day pass, gave me a tour of the facility and showed me where everything was. Thank you for making my visit accommodating.”
