βReception Staff are friendly, helpful, efficient. Considering I had no prearranged appointment I was seen relatively quickly. The Doctors are attentive, professional, and communicate very clearly. Overall I am highly satisfied with the quality for service and care all-round.β
βI do like this surgery, whenever I go here it's very quiet and I'm seen on time. I especially like Dr Kedward as he's very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. There's adequate parking right outside the surgery and it's free. If I could get an appointment easily and quickly this surgery would be perfect.β
βI can not praise Talking Therapies enough. Yes it's a bit of a wait to get on the lists but they quickly assertain what you need and different options are available. My therapist is lovely and I look forward to my sessions albeit I'm incredibly nervousβ
βleave any preconception and expectations behind . There is no silver bullet for mental health care , however if your allow your heart to connect with your mind , trust this process. If you surrender to this you will go along way toward dissolving the pain that's been holding you back for so long . There is no free lunch , you have to do the work . the mental heath professionals can only walk by your side on this journey. you must climb the hill with your own tenacity. if you are ready to dive in head first you can change you life for the better but your have to do the swimming .β
βI normally attend the Woodford branch. I have never had a bad experience or d elay with this practice. I have quite a lot of med condition's so freq. visitor. Reception nurses and doctors caring, polite, and professional. The nhs is underfunded staff underpaid. If you supported last cons govt you supported 15 years of real income under funding. Doctors having real pay cuts and believe it or not some gpβs are out of work because of lack of practice funding. If you want lower taxes and worse health emigrate to USA. Stop winging and support the nhs.β
βI have had a very positive experience coming to Harold Medical Practice and this was all thanks to Leanne. Leanne has been incredibly helpful and supportive for meβ
βI personally hate to visit the Doctor. I was at Weston Favell Surgery for years. Without going into detail.. The difference between the two woodview Medical centre and Weston Favell surgery is day & night. At woodview everyone gets an appointment. And is treated with respect. It's extremely clean, has a car park behind. None of the Doctors are rude. Infact the very opposite. Never in my life have I experienced such prompt action to deal with a medical issue. When previously just sorry call back tomorrow. I have several occasions that stick in my mind. Where I was left without blood pressure tablets in Weston Favell. Wife found me collapsed in the kitchen. Only for our fantastic Abundance Service I am still here. Another, my wife caught me early. Weston Favell Surgery refused to give appointment. Told call tomorrow. A&E was packed.. So the only place who would take me was a drop in centre in Corby. I ended up in a bed there for around 6 hours given medication. After that when I decided to go abroad. But registering at a different Surgery. I never thought this Woodview Medical centre wouldn't operate any different. Until a few weeks ago. Kidney stones. Totally different attitude from Reception. Totally different attitude from Doctors. Totally Different attitude from the Nurse. You actually feel welcome too. Not like, you shouldn't be here like I previously felt like. Amazing service. The Very Best Doctors. The very best Nurse. Amazing Staff on Reception. If I could rate this Woodview Medical Centre higher than 5 Star I really would.β
βI have been a patient for many years at Dermatology and have always found them to be caring, very helpful, and professional. What I also appreciate is the administration of appointments, follow up and availability. All very efficient - well doneβ
βSuper helpful receptionist Dawn! After a couple of non intrusive questions, she understood my needs & helped with a referral without having to go via the doctor for a minor issue. This has saved me, the doctor & possibly others much needed valuable time. Talk to your receptionists, they really can help you out!!β
βI cannot fault them at all. Was with another surgery and suffered from migraines which turned out to be serious (in coma type serious) since then changed to here. I have always got five star service. When I try to get appointment I do have to wait but I put that down to their quality of service hence so everyone wants to make sure they are seen properly. Five star all the way. I just wish Iβd listened to my mother earlier.β
βI only joined this practice recently, I completed the online form for an appointment at 7.30, received a call at midday for an appointment that afternoon. This saves time on the phone unlike my old GP. Dr Islam was fantastic, I had a treatment in mind following a private consultation however he gave me a further option without the need for injections. I was referred to a physio who I saw two days later, I have been given exercises which I hope will be beneficial for the recovery. Overall a positive first experience.β
βParks medical centre (Roade ) is a fantastic team . They provide a professional caring service ,during last Corona virus they have supported local community. This practice is one of best in Northants .β
βIβve been registered here for years but have not needed to use the service until this year. I had been feeling worse and worse over several months and finally contacted the surgery online as it wasnβt an urgent issue. A couple of days later I received a response from Dr Kirkbride-Jamu to confirm I should have some blood tests which I was able to book in quickly. It took a few weeks to have a follow up appointment for results but as it was an issue that had built up slowly the delay wasnβt a worry so I didnβt push. Shortly before the appointment I called the surgery and asked for access to my records on the NHS app. The phone was answered quickly and the receptionist sorted it out in a couple of minutes. Within a few hours I could see the results. My immediate issue (anaemia) was discussed in the follow up with Dr Field and my prescription was sent straight to my local pharmacy. Another issue was my cholesterol which was worryingly high. Due to my age, I donβt technically meet the criteria for statins or a referral. Dr Field listened to my concerns around my family history (very early heart attacks) and said she would see what she could do. A few weeks later I had a referral to a specialist. Iβm very grateful for the friendly and compassionate service from the staff at the clinic. Iβve seen so many horror stories about services in the NHS that I was worried about being fobbed off but everyone I have spoken to has listened to me and helped.β
βService and experience was always good. Staff is nice and helpful and they always fix me up. Only downside to service is slowness and bit of NHS bureaucracy due phone appointment needed before any in person appointment. With first sign of issue is generally a 6 weeks sprint to resolve all issues. They definitely need more people to support current great staff.β
βCant fault this surgery, I've been with them many years and always had a lot of support, even as a teenager when my health anxiety was at sky high due to an undiagnosed condition, i was always treated with kindness and respect and signposted to the most suitable clinician, all this help finally meant i got an answer to my years of symptoms, which even though it means many years to come of these symptoms, the diagnosis has put my anxiety completely to rest knowing there's a reason for my symptoms, so thank you. The nurses and GP's are fantastic. But a special thank you to the lovely admin and reception team, i see many reviews stating they have spoken to someone or people in the team that are rude and i really really cant believe this. They go above and beyond, i work at a gp surgery myself out of wellingborough which means getting a face to face appointment is very difficult for me, they always manage to get me a telephone appointment to help with this issue, rarely will i have to call back and try again for an appointment, but if i do, i do, the public needs to understand the admin/reception team aren't withholding appointments, the NHS is under a lot of strain, and with this, appointments are limited, meaning once they are gone, they are gone, please understand this before you base your review solely on appointment availability, it isnt the surgerys fault, and certainly isnt the admin teams fault, treat them with kindness and respect and they will do all they can to help you. They are human. Anyway.. 5/5 stars from me, don't let any bad reviews dampen your spirits, you cant please everyone.β
βIf you are open and willing to take on feedback, CAMHs are great. Some lovely practitioners and staff do their best.β
βWhen my son was unwell I was able to arrange an appointment the same day. Following a thorough appointment with a paramedic, he was prescribed antibiotics; the health centre also arranged an additional prescription as the throat swab results confirmed strep A/scarlet fever. Very pleased with the care received.β
βWent to new A & E under instructions from my GP. I was dreading it, but I can't tell you how much it has improved, beyond recognition. The new (temporary) unit is bright, airy and , comparatively, spacious. I was seen within 10 minutes to have BP checked, followed shortly by assessment, ECG and Doctor all within an hour. I was the taken to the Acute Assessment Unit where I stayed overnight. My bloods were taken and a CT scan carried out. All the staff were kind, courteous and professional. Could not fault my treatmentβ
βI had my implant removed by a lovely woman called Gladys and she was absolutely amazing! From the initial phone consultation right up to me leaving the clinic she was tremendously warm and friendly and made me feel super comfortable despite being extremely frightened and anxious! the removal was quick and painless and I was kept well informed the entire time of what was going on. There was another gentlemen present and helping who, unfortunately I did not get the name of, but he was also extremely cheerful and compassionate and had a great attitude! I am really thankful to them both for making it such a comfortable and stress free experience:)β
βI want to thank the nurses and porters for caring for my wife on Monday, you are doing an amazing job. There was a long wait as it was very busy and some computer challenges. I witnessed a lot of kindness, calmness and professionalism. Thank you all.β
βIf we as a family could give CAMHS 10 stars then we would. They have bent over backwards in every respect to help us,no one can wave a magic wand or do as we all wish but they do their very best and more with what they have. We have come across some astonishing people.β
βEasy check in, only waited for 1 hour to see a nurse specialist and she was excellent. Super helpful, very knowledgable and gave great advice. Friendly and kind. Couldnβt fault the service at MKUCS today!β
βWent in this morning, very happy with pro active physio who clearly explained my options. Well done.β
βCompleted online form & recieved an appointment for 15 days later which I was happy with as it was to have a discussion & not urgent. Have just been to my appointment where I was seen a couple of minutes before my appointment time. The consultation was completed in a relaxed atmosphere. GP was very approachable, informative. & helpful.β
βJust wanted to say that so far the treatment I have received from this practice has been really good. Reception team have been really nice and helpful, have heard the way members of public speak to them and am shocked at how rude people are. Miss Tazvivinga has been amazing and really helpful, really nice woman. Every person Iβve encountered tbf has been really nice and they are there for you and do provide exceptional care when you really need it. I understand people get frustrated but you do need to remember the NHS is a FREE SERVICE. Just wanted to say the team at redwell are a very good team and have helped me out massively so far, no bad comments from me! So thank you.β
βI have received nothing but excellent advice and support, the reception staff are always welcoming and helpful. The two doctors that have been looking after me have been fantastic, they listen and care. I have received the best possible care, far better than any other local surgery.β
βBest surgery I have ever had looking after me. I have had many. They chase me for appointments and place me on new programmes. Kind, patient and caringβ
βMy family and I moved to this surgery in January after being at our previous surgery most of my life. Prior to moving my husband had a serious illness which in turn affected the whole family. I will be forever grateful to all at Burton Latimer medical centre for making us feel welcome and the outstanding professionalism by every doctor and nurse we have seen. During waiting to be seen I have witnessed the rudeness towards staff, especially reception staff, please be kind they are just doing their jobs in a very difficult situation.β
