“The room was clean and nice. The staff nice. Only stayed 1 night for business and it was ideal for that. Breakfast was nice. Unfortunately the Hunters Chicken that I ordered from the restaurant was so tough that a had to eat everything around it before I chiseled into it to avoid sending everything flying. Apart from that it was good. March 2023 update: I stayed for two nights this time on the 13/14, again for business. This time I made use of the swimming pool and the fitness suite on site. I also managed to try the sauna, the first time ever! I managed the whole 15 min on the timer. The food this time was really nice. I had a burger and steak (separate eve's). The team was very friendly and nice and the breakfast was excellent. I have notched up to 5 stars for this recent visit.”

“Can't comment on the bedrooms as I didn't use them. The conference and events area however, is fantastic. It's really spacious and very clean. The rooms can be made up for any event. They are warm, welcoming and they can take away the business feel for more private events. The food and drinks provided are delicious and the staff are friendly and helpful.”

“Great location just off the main road, short run into town if needed! Very clean comfortable rooms, lovely staff and great restaurant opposite. Will be back soon and look forward to their refurbished rooms in time.”

“Been a while since I've been here. The food was good and tasty, although need to not get the jalapeño poppers next time. Didn't like them. Service was very good. Flynn was brilliant, warm welcoming and always on hand when needed. Thanks peeps.”

“Our food was delicious and our service from Paige and Rose was outstanding. Helped us quickly and were very polite. Restaurant was very clean and although it’s more self service with the way you have to order, the staff are still so hands on and helpful and all food is brought to you in good time. I enjoyed our dining experience here.”

The full English breakfast was a highlight, perfectly prepared and satisfying. The welcoming ambiance and friendly staff added to the overall positive dining experience. “Lovely afternoon tea today! Brilliant selection of sweet and savoury. Tea selection was also great. All good portions and no doubt you’ll find some bits to take home with you to have later on! Service was great, all staff very friendly and approachable. Just a little suggestion, I feel as if the sweet selection could do with a break down on what some of the things are? Such as the gateau opera. There was a gel type liquid in a chocolate shell which we had no idea what it actually was so a little mentioning of what it was in the menu would be nice? Maybe a little booklet explaining what each item is, what flavours etc, make it a bit more interesting as there was other flavours that I would have love to know what was in there.”

“This is a very small and cozy family restaurant, where we had a great dinner. There is a good selection of dishes at very reasonable prices and it is delicious. Very tasty! Here you can taste real Romanian dishes, very well-cooked meat. There is also a very friendly staff and fast service, we came to the restaurant hungry, asked to bring food quickly and received it in a few minutes.”

“We had a fantastic dining experience at Harvester today. We were served by Michelle, who was absolutely wonderful—friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The menu had some amazing vegan and vegetarian options. The grilled halloumi tacos were the absolute highlight—perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. A must-try for anyone visiting! Highly recommend for anyone looking for great service, a welcoming atmosphere, and delicious dishes. Will definitely be back, especially for a Sundae!”

“It's been a few years since I last ate at The Narrow Boat, so I was interested to see how they were doing. Very pleasantly suprised. The ambience is much better, bright, warm and airy, a significant improvement. Very good food, tasty, hot and well presented. The staff were very knowledgeable, answering all of our questions. Their drinks selection is fairly standard, but this is the first time I've ever come across a draught Majorcan beer, which was excellent. Overall, a super effort, and much improved from my last visit. If, like me, you haven't been for a while, give them a go, you might be pleasantly suprised. Happy to recommend it.”

“We love the consistant excellent food on offer and the understated quiet service. Authentic tastes and quality ingredients. Had numerous takeaways recently, all good. You will need to wait around an hour but it is worth it for freshly cooked dishes. The interior is basic if you want to eat in.”

“Many positives, especially Russell on reception who went out of his way numerous times to help us. Also to Michael the night porter who was very helpful. The disabled lift was not working and this should have been looked into quickly but wasn't. Although, I was able to access the bar and restaurant via the staff kitchen entrance luckily thanks to Russell and Co. Had to ask staff 3 times for a remote for the air-con. Russell was the one who resolved this, thankfully. I assume the other 2 staff forget. Hotel needs more disabled car spaces, 2 is not enough. Hotel located in a very nice quiet area of country. Breakfast was superb and all staff very helpful and friendly, although forgot one or two things. I'd stay again, which is a good sign!”

“Clean tidy. First time visitors and reception was friendly. Hall ways and room clean and tidy. Shower was immaculately clean. House keeping clearly take pride in the up keep of the hotel. I think this was the cleanest holiday inn I have stayed in. Well done to all the staff especially the house keeps for keeping such a big place clean and above all the other holiday inns I have visited.”

“Lived in this property for the duration of my university experience (3years), it is a beautiful house, has spacious rooms, with a lovely landlady who ensured everything was in order! Could not have asked for a better place to live.”

“Fritos is the sort of chicken place we needed - clean, funky and with good quality chicken. However : - mistakes/miscommunication definitely occur, so be very clear with what you're ordering. Also be prepared to have your patience tested a little. - when we went there was no water. They fixed this by giving us extra chicken. The food is great, establishment is lovely, therefore I'm not going to deduct any stars, but I'll bear the two points above in mind when I go next time.”

“I had a great stay at the Northampton Bedford Road Premier Inn on the A428. The receptionist team was incredibly welcoming and made check-in smooth and friendly. A special mention to Fridah, who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained. Overall, excellent service from start to finish. Thank you! Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.”
