“Our "local" when we visit Woolacombe. And we are remembered. The menu is small but absolutely lovely. The staff are friendly but very professional. Definitely worth a visit.”

“Lovely place. Very friendly helpful staff. Great food drink & evening entertainment. Very good prices also. Would definitely recommend. Thank you Glen”
“Booked "the snug" for my 59th birthday. It comfortably holds around 20 people, it has its own part of the bar so you can get served there. The bar staff were lovely, very accommodating to our needs. Beer was cold, food was hot (served from a pizza van outside), can't fault it.”
“Lovely village pub that keeps their beer well.”
“Friendly atmosphere, obliging bar staff, clean Bars & comfortable seating. Pleasant and spacious garden at rear.”

“We have just had a wonderful two day stay here over the bank holiday and it was absolutely perfect! The attention to detail is absolutely on point, there isn't anything the hosts haven't thought of! The sauna transformed from a horse trailer is beautiful! Super cosy, the land is really tranquil, we completely chilled and so did our dog....he had the best time :) 100% recommend and we will definitely be booking to come here again x”
“Definitely one of my fave places in Norwich, delighted they've opened a second year running. Beautiful garden in grounds of the church. Real attention to detail with floodlight Church and fairy lights under mature trees. Carefully curated food and drink menu including pizzas, tasting boards and the best dessert! Honeycomb toffee to die for! Have recommended to countless friends for a great ambience and people.”
“Had a dinner there with my husband and it was so good! We ordered vegan food and we couldn’t have asked for a more delicious meal! Definitely coming back,”
“Just arrived back from Bengate, what a lovely place. Hot tub was amazing, lodge is spacious and clean. Perfect location. Clare was very responsive. Will certainly recommend and return.”
“Utterly incredible. Shot straight to my number 1 place to eat in Norwich! It's already tough enough finding somewhere to eat Japanese food in the first place let alone to this high standard. I cant think of the words, we just had an incredibly delicious time. Go and eat here, you deserve it!”
“Proper Good Clipping Service From Behind and Tickling which solved my dogs anxiety. So recommended care and professionalism.”
“Open 16:00-2:00am aside from Mondays and Fridays, and stay open for LCR clubnights, amazing smash burgers, and crispy fresh fries”
“Lovely pub very friendly and good lager”
“11.06.2023 Came for a child's party. Was great fun, big soft play area indoors. Outdoors: climbing frame, sandpit, benches. It was a very hot and sunny day but no parasols. Big portions from adult menu. 4 lanes for bowling, plenty of tables to sit at for a meal.”
“A lovely hotel for both business and recreation in my view. Well appointed rooms with lovely fluffy towels. Delicious food in the restaurant. A wonderful breakfast which set me up well for the day ahead and kept me full all day. Polite and helpful staff I would recommend this hotel.”
“Popped in for a pint while passing by with the family and within a couple of minutes we were served, greeted and found a seat in the garden. The atmosphere was friendly and fun. With the vibe of a traditional local pub with talkative locals. With a dartboard and pool table, I'm sure the weekends could be lively and interesting. Although they had Madri As a larger drinker, there weren't a great deal of options on tap for me. But plenty of Ales. (By all means, this wouldn't put me off visiting again ) The garden had plenty of kids' toys and balls. Considering not many pubs make that much effort when it comes to kids so this is another reason for us to visit again. Overall we all had a Great experience.”
“We recently hired out and held our engagement party in the basement gin bar. We had roughly 40 guests and it was the perfect space. Bar service and food was brilliant, could not fault the staff one bit. They allowed us free rein of the space to decorate and set up as we pleased including bringing in our own DJ. Would highly recommend for private party events!”
“I followed google maps to avoid a queue on the A146 while driving to Lowestoft and saw the Swan. I thought I would chance a meal. The welcome was great, atmosphere good and food very tasty. Well worth the small diversion if passing.”
“The Belle Vue is back! Been waiting for the roasts to return! Not disappointed ! It was delicious . Proper crispy roast potatoes, quality gravy, vegetables. My lamb was so tasty, with homemade mint sauce and my son had Pork with extra crackling! We couldn’t fault a thing! Thoroughly recommend to anybody will definitely be going back!”
“Myself and my husband went for Sunday lunch and throughly enjoyed it. Would be nice to have other options on the menu as well but as I mentioned the roasts are lovely. Staff were very friendly and attentive and the prices were good.”
“Myself and all my friends went for a Christmas lunch, the service was exceptional food excellent and extremely well priced. Plenty of car parking, great atmosphere would highly recommend a visit if only for a drink but if requiring a meal best book in advance as it gets very busy.”
“Have eaten here several times and been in for drinks a lot when camping at the local campsite. Friendly and efficient staff, always ready to help and very pleasant to deal with. Allergies are taken seriously and atmosphere is always lovely. Thank you for always providing us with somewhere to come and enjoy a lovely meal away from the campsite!”
“Forget stiff tablecloths. Gonzo’s in Norwich is pure, unadulterated cool. It’s got that effortlessly funky, late-night energy—the kind of place where the music is as good as the food, and the atmosphere just works. Seriously, the vibe is a 10/10, If you go, you must order the BBQ Trays. This is low-and-slow done right. Think smoke-ring perfection, meat that surrenders with a whisper, and a sauce that actually tastes like it was made with love, not bottled in a factory. It’s generous, messy (in the best way), and totally satisfying. This isn't just a meal; it’s an experience in American smokehouse excellence. And finally, the mega service. Attentive, genuinely friendly, and clearly passionate about what they’re doing. Our drinks were always topped up, the recommendations were spot-on, and everything felt smooth, despite how busy they are. Gonzo's isn't just serving great BBQ; they're serving a great time. Killer food, next-level service, and a vibe that makes you want to stay all night. Get the tray. Stay for the party. Best birthday meal ever.”
“We had a very romantic valentines day meal here. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the setting was very chilled. The wine was good and the food was tasty and just enough to satisfy us without making us feel full. Would totally recommend!”
“One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The Steam Packet nails that rare balance between cosy and elevated. The pub’s atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a dining room that feels intimate but never cramped – the art and overall vibe are spot on. The open kitchen adds to the charm, giving you a glimpse into the action. The food? Outrageously good. We had the langoustines with wild garlic – unforgettable – followed by a perfectly cooked steak and some of the best chips I’ve had in ages. Their home lager was crisp and refreshing, honestly one of the best I’ve tried in a long time, and the wine list is equally impressive. What really sets this place apart is the portion size and the cooking style: generous, honest plates that are simple in the best way – full of flavour, creativity, and care. The Steam Packet is absolutely worth a visit”
