“Lovely venue and delicious food! Would absolutely recommend the cranberry and fried brie . Lovely and polite staff despite us being more than a little late ! Price came to about £60 for 2 with 5 tapas 2 desserts and 2 drinks each, so about right!”

“A friend runs this pub to a high standard which has an excellent range of beers and spirits along with assorted bar snacks. Events periodically including Karaoke and many different bands. Unfortunately the pub doesn't serve meals but has many a visiting food van especially combined with various events such as Two Wheel Tuesday and the Old Buckenham Airshow which can be viewed from the village green. Dog friendly venue, juke box and pool table, seating out the front overlooking one of the largest village greens in England.”

“Wow! This was what was uttered on serving the food. Huge portions of delicious food. From BBQ duck, Greek skewer, meat sharing platter, turkey roast dinners and burgers for the kids, we were all delighted. Bonus, for me, were the two Beavertown beers on tap, impressive ☺️”

“We visited The George and Dragon on a Saturday as a couple and also enjoyed a stay in one of Thier Pods. The food in the pub was delicious the atmosphere was very warm and welcoming the staff were lovely. The Pods are fantastic! It was the perfect little weekend getaway, cleanliness was great, the facilities were perfect making it perfect place to relax. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.”

“Been here several times over two years holidays and it's been consistently excellent service and delicious food. We'll worth a visit, very family friendly including dog friendly. Has a small amusements area and play park which keeps the children of all ages entertained. Highly recommend. Great prices and friendly welcome too”

“Michelin star pie!! Tuesday special! Last tuesday the city was all jammed up and I had to sort of abandon my car in the car park of the Black Horse. Patrons only, obviously and in desperate need of both a bit of dinner and a bit of natural respite, I stopped in. I was in a bit of a flap, rush hour traffic has a way of really aggravating me, and I was tired and hungry (hangry they call it) and the gigantic barman was incredibly patient and recommended a special that would go on to change my life. Pie & a pint. PIE and A PINT Lets start by saying that the atmosphere of the Black Horse could be described as 'a warm hubub' even at about half five of a Tuesday evening and there were quite a few tables taken already with people enjoying their dinner. Now, you may think that pie and a pint is pretty standard pub fayre, and you'd be right, it's probably one of the most familiar dishes on menus across Britain ad, as someone who spent decades of his life travelling with work, I have sampled more than my fair share (my PR will attest to this). So when the pie arrived, all golden pastry, steamy mash and silky liquor-like gravy, I KNEW I was in for something special. This, folks, is the best ever pub pie I've ever had, ever. And it's not even close. Now that may sound like a bold statement, so here's another. The beef and Stilton pie with its leeks, mash and incredible gravy could actually be the foundation of world peace. It meta in the mouth in such a way that you can't help but smile from ear to ear. It's like a song of comfort food at your favourite festival, it's a blanket and a warm bed listening to the raindrops drum against the window. It's simply sensational and, all words and comparisons aside, there is nothing that can truly attest to how good this pie is. I waited all week to post about it because you, dear reader, could well be making plans for tomorrow and please believe me when I say that if those plans are for a pie and a pint at the Black Horse on Earlham road in Norwich, then your mouth will love you for the rest of your life.”

“Didn't eat food, so can't comment. First ever visit to this pub for a live music gig on Saturday. Great atmosphere, amazing wall of fascinating rock posters. Good drinks from the bar. Friendly staff and locals. A wooden dance floor area was a real bonus. Brilliant, fun night with the talented Glamtastics. We'll certainly go to this great venue again.”

“Mega Roast all proper ‘home cooked’ food and plenty of it. Staff were friendly and smiley even when rushed off their feet. Nice beer garden for those sunny days. Even when busy or live music on its a spacious pub so you can still hear ya mates talk…unfortunately ;)”
