“We visited prior to a matinee performance at Theatre Royal. The decor was beautiful, the staff all very attentive. Sebastian was our waiter and was fab, full of smiles and very helpful. The food was extremely good, we had the 2 course for £25 and 2 from the group had a main off of the main menu, all of it delicious and made to a high standard. Followed by a desert. On leaving the heavens opened and one of the staff (we didn’t get his name) found us an umbrella to borrow, so kind and helpful. Overall a really good experience and would absolutely recommend and will definitely return.”

“My cousin's local. Guinness about £3.80 a pint. The food is amazingly good. Two fish & chips and two burger in a basket meals (Mmm.. This IS a tasty burger) for about £37. I wish I had these prices down South.”

“Nipped in at about 20:30 on a weekday and Nicky showed us to a lovely table and talked us through the specials, the service she gave was so warm and friendly and the food was really good! I had the pie and my partner had the chicken schnitzel, we shared the baked Camembert to start. Cannot fault anything here, all this and it’s dog friendly! Brilliant”

“Excellent, friendly pub with a micro brewery attached. Only about 10 minutes walk from Long Eaton station. Definitely worth a visit when in the area.”

“Have seen Pokéwaves in Victoria Centre pre-COVID and regularly on Deliveroo since. To keep this short and sweet, I was very impressed. Have had Poké a few times before but what sets Pokéwaves apart is definitely the size and portion of the protein (Ahi Tuna cubes in my case). The sesame shoyu dressing combined with the Masago and Wakame Salad was an umami / texture overload. Couldn't recommend it more!”

“Recently had a large birthday party attending The Wheatsheaf and I just wanted to say a very big thank you to Terry and his fabulous team for looking after us all so well. From start to finish everything was brilliant - the food was delicious and the drinks were flowing. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff were all friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was perfect for my birthday celebrations. It really made the night special. “All the HK people who have moved to Nottingham know this place. It’s probably one of not the best Chinese food places in Nottingham. The seafood was fresh, the prawns were so fresh. The peking duck was cooked to perfection. The waiters were excellent and helped when needed. However the toilets were being fixed so a little annoying”
