βFirst time eating here.. Excellent service very attentive atmosphere is very cozy. The food was amazing and so fresh fantastic variety of options on the menu I feel everything was reasonably priced. We had seven different items off the menu two cocktails one pint of beer Β£75β
βBest breakfast ever. I recomend this to anyone for the first time in Nottingham and looking for where to eat. Nice vegetarian and vegan options. Great matcha late and chai late. Staff is very nice and helpfull. Also, decoration is lovely.β
βWe love the Lion, the beer is impeccably kept and there are lots of real ales. The food is good and very popular. There are regular quizzes and live music at the weekends. The pub attracts a diverse customer base, a real social mix of ages and background and I think this adds to the relaxed and friendly atmosphere. It's also very much a dog pub, there are dog beds available and dog snacks too. I thoroughly recommend a visit to The Lion.β
βGreat service Great venue Food was nice Roast dinner about Β£20 Burger and chips about Β£17 Good quality foodβ
βMy friend and I went to Orissa for the first time this evening. We were greeted with friendly smiles and shown to our table. The staff were attentive and our food came out at a good time. The food itselfβ¦ absolutely beautiful!! The flavour profiles in each dish were delicious and the presentation was gorgeous. The portions are really good sizes, we couldnβt finish our meals and bought the rest home with us. The price is good value and weβll be definitely going back again. Thank you for a lovely evening.β
βI recently had a visit to this lovely restaurant with a group of friends. Parking: There is a limited car parking at the front with around 10-12 vehicle space. The restaurant has a very beautiful entrance with a small garden and water like fountain. Food: The food was all of good portion and was very delicious. They even catered and fulfilled our request to make the food a bit spicy. The food arrived in good timely manner as well. Seating: The seating was nicely laid out for our group. And there were plenty of other seats as well. We were provided with a separate room which was big enough for our group. Disabled access. Although we didnt have anyone who needed the need. However, for other disabled customer info, there is stairs which might be a bit of challenge to go to the restaurant from the car park entrance. Price: The price per customer was roughly 25Β£ for starters main and side dish. Excluding drinks. Staff and Service: Staff were nicely dressed and very professional. I would recommend this place to anyone who would like to have the thai food.β
βHaving been staying in the area, the Chequers Inn at Breaston provided a great welcome, Really friendly place to hang out and everyone I've met in here, bar staff and regulars are all equally happy to have a chat. There's three areas, one with a very cosy feel, carpeted and traditional, a hard floor area with a large TV and comfy seating, and a sports area with pool table and darts. Very multi-generational and inclusive, everyone is looked after and canine friendly too! Dog treats available at the bar - woof! Superb bar management too, no one ignored, always acknowledged. Great choice of drinks including non-alcoholic and newspapers also available. Look out for the big teddy bear with the unfortunately grumpy face (hey, it's what's on the inside that counts), who is often dressed up to promote happenings. There's a Pub quiz Tuesdays, and a disco night once a month on a Saturday night. There's also an outdoor area which I'm sure will be hugely popular come the sunshine.. Such a great find this place, very close to the village centre.β
βI am from down the south I am delighted this cafe has reopened . Let me tell all this young lady and her team serve the best ever bunch . I be back when I am up Notts again Visiting my friends . This place is the best ever .β
βA lovely family Sunday lunch was enjoyed by all. A large Sunday roast beef for me with Yorkshire Pudding, roast potatoes, kale, parsnip, carrot & stuffing. Friendly, quick & efficient service. We'll be back!β
βNottingham's got some amazing pizza places and this is certainly up there with the best of them! We popped in on a Friday afternoon, got a table outside in the sunshine and ordered what turned out to be a huuuge Detroit style pizza and 2 pints of Deya Steady Rolling Man. Service was very personable and very fast and before we knew it, we were drinking our beer and tucking into our pie. First bite was heaven. The sauce was packed with flavour and the seasoning was perfectly balanced. The crust had crispy melted cheese all round it which was gorgeous. We couldn't finish it in the end so the waiter offered to box it up for us. The beer was well kept and there was a big selection. Always a fan of Deya though. 10% gratuity was automatically added to the bill. I'm generally not a fan of this growing trend. I do generally tip 10% anyway but I like that to be my choice. Overall, I'll definitely be going back to Slice 'n' Brew (my kids wouldn't forgive me if I didn't take them at some point). Amazing pizza and craft beer in a great location. Keep it up!!β
βThe food is so delicious, all made fresh and extremely good prices. itβs so hard to decide what to choose because theyβre all so good, i end up getting food for the whole day. The staff are so friendly, the portions are big and good value and itβs probably the best classic non-fancy breakfast in Nottinghamβ
βFantastic place. I regularly eat here or just popi n for a coffee. Fresh quiche made while you wait (about 15 minutes). Worth the wait. The cakes are delicious and large slices (but youcan have a Β½ slice). I took my friend the other week and she really enjoyed it - so much so that she is going again. Never had bad service. Staff are brilliant and nothing is too much trouble. Everything is home made and fresh. There is a free carpark opposite for about 10 cars and 2 disabled spaces k3 hour parking). There are also 22 other car parks in Kimberley - one for 3 hours and one is free for an hour and the Β£1 till 6.00pm. Would highly recommend.β
βLove Shack....awesome joint, beware the locals though....:-)β
βAbsolutely lightning service with the most respect ever seen in my life. The caramel latte was lush and chris was incredibly polite and recommended it to me. Everything 5 stars. The only thing i would recommend is lowering the prices. Just like elf. The world's best cup of coffeeβ
βOk, so it's not a trendy modern pub. But, it's newly decorated, super clean and super friendly. Reasonable choice of beers, ciders and standard pub fayre at good prices. No-one is a stranger here and there's no mouthy locals or loud music.β
βWhat a burger, really nice. I had the Mexican burger and my daughter had the buttermilk chicken. You get a really decent size portion of chips too. I admit, burger wasnβt massive but with the chips it was really filling. Comes wrapped in βnewspaperβ love that and then in a massive box. You get a few warm wet wipes as well. For me, love this as I have a big beard and came in handy. Top marks, will definitely be backβ
βFantastic service and very polite very happy. Great food and great coffee.β
βFirst time visiting and it wonβt be the last! Food was piping hot and so tasty. Young girl serving us was super and its such a shame there wasnβt an option to add TIP to the card payment as we didnβt have cash on us. We know for next time! Thank you all. The Lamb was soooo nice!β

βThis was one of the best Sunday roasts that weβve eaten in recent memory - delicious food and great service. We loved the cosy atmosphere and the contemporary decor - the team were friendly and service was good. Will be returning for sure!β
βHeld my late Mum's wake here. Quite a small affair, so we chose to have an area of the bar. The staff were so helpful from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble and all delivered with a smile. The food was excellent and commented upon by all. Big thank you to all the staff for making it a lovely end to the day.β
βThe food was amazing. We had a chicken and lamb Sunday lunch. A good sized portion and very reasonably priced. We had GF Chocolate Fuche cake with custard and sticky toffee pudding with custard. Both were delicious! I would highly recommend a visit! We had booked an outside table and were running late. We called to let them know and they were very understanding. Service was excellent. Thank youβ
βLovely stop off on a nice local walk for a bit of tapas and a couple of pints. Great atmosphere in what is one of Staplefordβs nicer watering holes.β
βDespite being really busy they managed to seat us at a comfortable table. They advised was going to be 30 mins which we were happy at, and it was pretty much bang on 30 mins when it arrived and it was well worth the wait. The staff were very pleasant and food was spot on. First time since it had the make over but we will back again! Thank you so much.β
βLovely tea room/cafe next to the canal at Trent Lock. Good range of food and drink and a lovely walking destination.β
βJust spent our Christmas party at the passage to India. The food was amazing and not what we usually expected from an Indian, but with great hospitality and plenty of delicious food we will be backβ
βWe live around the corner from here use the deli shop in the day around 3 times a week, its fantastic. Italian family owners. Great price on the wine in the shop big 1litre bottles of good wine for Β£4.95 Great all round. Went to the Restaraunt for the first time last night. Lovely food and very generous portions.β
βHad a meal booked with my partner as we were staying the night a few doors down. Service was flawless. Very attentive and friendly and ensuring we had our water topped up. Food was absolutely delicious and flavourful. Very reasonably priced :) Had the prawn crackers, cocktail soup (enjoyed it so much forgot to take a photo until the last few mouthfuls), mocktail, chips, sweet and sour chicken and coconut rice. Enjoyed every bit. Highly recommended *****β
βMy favourite restaurant in Nottinghamshire. The food is sublime and well priced. Delicious every time. Confit Duck, Beef bourguignon are my go to dishes, oh and the soup is great too.β
