“Went for breakfast with Santa. It was set up really well and you could do things at your own pace which was good. The food selection was good with tea and coffee included. All if the staff were really lovely but Julie really went above and beyond for us :)”

The new menu is great. We had the gnocchi, chicken tikka kebabs, fish and chips and chicken burger. All tasted great and the service was great - the team are very helpful, especially with me faffing about deciding!”

“A typical small town Spoons, nothing exciting on the Cask Ale front but the usual prompt efficient service. Excellent, regular 10 minute daytime bus service here to Nottingham with a stop right outside the pub and a dot matrix informing the time of the next few departures.”

“There were 8 of us who visited for the first time this evening to celebrate a couple of our birthdays. The food was spot on. The chicken in the curries was really tender, and all the food tasted lovely, and was piping hot. The owner of the restaurant was really friendly, and made us feel very welcome. I would highly recommend”

“Food is amazing! I don’t usually like kebab, but cannot fault it from here at all. I’ve tried a variety of things as I’ve been ordering from here for many years. The milkshakes are amazing! The burgers are huge and tasty and the pizzas are always top dollar. Occasionally I collect so I can get the cheeky BOGOF offer on the pizzas. Would highly recommend cafe pizzeria, you won’t be disappointed!”

“5th July we have been to the Ferry Boat Inn and a had a lovely meal. Excellent value with nice food. It has a large car park. Very large eating area. Staff is very pleasant and helpful. Service was quick. The location is absolutely beautiful next to the Trent. The three of us had a dessert off of the children's menu, and it was really good and an ample portion.”

“Had a lovely all you can eat breakfast for my birthday and the staff looked after us so well. My friend and I visited with our babies and they helped us with high chairs and fetching drinks and food from the buffet for us while we were breastfeeding which was such a huge help. Our eyes were too big for our bellies but they very kindly provided us with take away boxes so we didn’t have any waste. We ordered some Prosecco to have with our orange juice and when they heard it was my birthday they gave it to us on the house. Fantastic service, will definitely be back again!”

“Lovely student area, good food and serenity. There is a big screen for live events and a sound system for music. The heating system is very effective, keeping the place warm. It's a lovely area to cool off from a lecture or relax before the lecture.”

The food is lovely and the people there are very kind, we had a lovely chat and the food was very nice, I really enjoyed the pizza I ordered and will definitely order from there again.
