“This was one of the best Sunday roasts that we’ve eaten in recent memory - delicious food and great service. We loved the cosy atmosphere and the contemporary decor - the team were friendly and service was good. Will be returning for sure!”

“Beautiful food, perfect in every way!! Only criticism is we weren’t asked how our food was soon after receiving it, brother had fries and would have liked some kind of sauce. Noticed waitresses and waiters would happily avoid eye contact, weren’t overly busy and plenty of staff but preferred to chat. Waited a long time for bill also. Again no complaints about the food compliments to the chef, staff could have been more attentive that’s all.”

“First time here and I was really impressed! The roast chicken dinner was the best I’ve ever had – the chicken was succulent, tasty, and perfectly cooked. Everything was homemade, with the stuffing being especially good, and the gravy was rich and full of flavor. The waitress was very pleasant and the service was quick. I’ll definitely be coming back!”

“Great pub, gotta be the best in the village I’d say nowadays. Always busy, had great food, something for everyone. Great garden, always has been: the place is and has been amazing since the refurb! The real ale selection is a bit lacking but that’s not their main attraction, if you want that, go to other pubs in the village! Now for the star of the show: Lawrence! He’s great, and is an amazing waiter. He takes great care of you and his customer service is always on point.”

“Came for tapas; crispy squid, Spanish hot flatbread, meatballs. All reasonably priced, squid was slightly tough but batter was lovely and light and was overall fab. Flat bread was perfect and so delicious, meatballs were also spot on. Sangria passion fruit and mango was also great. Good vibe with plenty of tables and service was really good with polite staff. Mix up on the reciept but was easily sorted. Booked the tables so no wait required. Would recommend!”

“Wow! This Carvery was amazing! Even though we are Liverpool Fans, the Chef gave us a huge Welcome and a generous amount of meat (I had the Beef and Pork). We moved onto the Vegetables and honestly, I can't think of a single Veg that wasn't present. All of them looked fresh (2pm ish) and replenished regularly as well as being crunchy and piping hot. The table staff were welcoming too - it was worth the drive and, we'll be back. I have a modest appetite so, don't let the size and selection of my plate put you off - there were Yorkshire's, my bro had 2, and potatoes - you can have as much as you want!”

“First time having a pint in the frame breakers. What can I say...... It's a quaint little pub in towards the centre of Ruddington, so it nicely located. The staff seem friendly, and they serve a nice array of craft ales and beers. Prices ain't bad and from what I saw of the food, it looked good. Definitely worth a cheeky beer in.”

“Had a lovely meal here, good vegan options as well as meat/fish. We loved the mocktails menu as they were very tasty. The food and service were 5 star, especially our waiter Elliot who made us feel at home.”

“Had a fantastic meal at Hickory’s Smokehouse in Nottingham last Saturday night with friends! The food was genuinely impressive — hands down the best BBQ I’ve had from anywhere in the UK. The meats were cooked perfectly, full of flavour, and had that authentic smoky taste that’s so hard to find done right over here unless I'm doing it on my BBQ at home!! The staff were brilliant too — super friendly, attentive, and brought a fun, relaxed vibe to the whole experience. It really made the visit even more enjoyable. Definitely planning to return soon. If you’re into BBQ and haven’t been yet, you’re missing out!!”

“I came to this place with my friend on Wednesday as she has been there before and she said it was really good. So we went there and to be honest I didn’t think it was going to be that good l. However I was completely shocked how good the food was in fact I was i element eating the food. The starter nachos was amazing the nachos was proper nachos they put the right amount of cheese and sauce on. The calzone was absolutely amazing. The portion size are big portions. The staff were lovely. The owners are lovely. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone.”

“The food was amazing. We had a chicken and lamb Sunday lunch. A good sized portion and very reasonably priced. We had GF Chocolate Fuche cake with custard and sticky toffee pudding with custard. Both were delicious! I would highly recommend a visit! We had booked an outside table and were running late. We called to let them know and they were very understanding. Service was excellent. “Despite being really busy they managed to seat us at a comfortable table. They advised was going to be 30 mins which we were happy at, and it was pretty much bang on 30 mins when it arrived and it was well worth the wait. The staff were very pleasant and food was spot on. “Excellent food at a very reasonable price. Adam the new landlord was very welcoming. The pub has also had a very tasteful makeover since coming under new management to bring it's decor up to date which has enhanced the atmosphere too. All in all the perfect, family friendly country pub.”

“We live around the corner from here use the deli shop in the day around 3 times a week, its fantastic. Italian family owners. Great price on the wine in the shop big 1litre bottles of good wine for £4.95 Great all round. Went to the Restaraunt for the first time last night. Lovely food and very generous portions.”

“I basically live in Nola lol. It’s rare I want to take my young children in coffee shops as you don’t usually feel welcome but Nola is not like this. My children love the staff and the staff always ask after them or ask when they are coming in if I go to grab a takeout. A truly lovely, relaxed environment. As for the coffee, cookies and food… wow. The coffee is outpost roasters and is truly divine. The cookies are game changing and we love all the food, there is so much variety too. Give the breakfast sando a try or anything with their crispy chicken. Good quality and value!”

“Been to frandos this evening with the family, such good honest grilled chicken, think nandos but without chickens that were on hunger strike before the fateful day. We had the platter for 6 as a table for 3 (yes I’m a gluten and I was pre-warned that it would be a lot of food) it was beautiful freshly cooked chicken and we loved every bit (see photos). Kim was a credit to the business and looked after us for the whole sitting, thank you. All jokes aside if your kids force you to take them nandos regular but you want the real peri peri experience try here.”

“We ordered a few different things (pizzas, burgers, chicken) from here last night and were really impressed with everything we had. The food was really tasty and clean (not greasy) and the portion sizes were very generous. I had the Bollente burger and it was delicious. Would definitely order from here again.”
