“I had booked a table for dinner as all my friends rave about the food. They weren't wrong!!! We ordered the set menu as well as an additional three dishes and everything was super delicious and freshly prepared. The Asian slaw is absolutely incredible, best I've ever had! As usual we had ordered too much food but I took the leftovers home to have for lunch. The staff were welcoming and seated us straight away and we're attentive taking our orders etc. It's not the most romantic place to go and eat but overall the atmosphere was nice and the restaurant was really busy. I cannot wait to go back!”
“Honestlyyy Ohannes Burger in Beeston is spot on The burgers are proper tasty and cooked just right Staff are really friendly and the place has a nice vibee Easily one of my favourite spots for a burger around heree”
“Food quality is great. The menu looks nice and I really appreciate that they do a lovely decaf coffee. However, it's very busy and we were lucky to get a table so quickly. It's got a good and atmosphere, the stables echo and create noise bubbles.”
“Had a lovely meal at The Butchers. We had a ‘Mega Roast’ and it was amazing! The meat was incredible and the unlimited trimmings ensured you had enough food (and some going spare). We will definitely be back. The service was great- Holly was warm, welcoming and attentive. All staff were fantastic. 5/5 would recommend.”
“Great little takeaway with lots of choice. I ordered a couple of curries and they were spot on, fresh ingredients, authentic tasting and even delivered hot! This will be my go-to Indian takeaway from now on.”
“The place looks like a normal “Cafe” in Portugal, they have normal used portuguese products. We order the francesinha, which was amazing! Awesome cozy space and family kind of portuguese food.”
“k summary: 100% recommend Here's why: Looked online to see if the place was dog friendly and found no details but the menu looked nice and other reviews were good so we risked it and yes they are dog friendly! Staff were warm and welcoming from the start. The place is cozy, well decorated and arranged. We found a seat quickly for brunch around 10am on a Friday morning. We ordered a dirty chai latte which they claim to be homemade. I can definitely confirm it tasted nothing like the powdered stuff and was quite possibly the nicest one I've ever had. We were asked about our dietary requirements and allergies which is always nice. I'm a vegetarian and it's often hard to find places that do more than some bland fry up with veggie sausages.. this place delivers for all preferences. My partner had the Pantry breakfast which was a generous plate with homemade baked beans and sausages that he said were well seasoned and flavourful as well as nice bagon and the choice of eggs 3 ways, he went with poached. The pancakes can apparently be swapped with toast but who would want that. Real maple syrup was also served with the dish. I had the avocado and poached eggs on sourdough which I'm going to be honest was a small portion but it was delicious. I could have done with a second slice of sourdough.. maybe an egg on each with all the toppings. The avocado surprised me. I expected just some sliced unseasoned avocado as most places do but this was actually mashed avocado seasoned and flavoured with lime. Gorgeous pairing of pickled red onion. Feta and micro greens. Finally there was a selection of cakes but recently becoming diabetic, I could not indulge. Very sad indeed as the cakes and pastries looked amazing. Maybe one day there will be low sugar options available. All in all, it was a nice little find and definitely a place we'd go back to.”
“Photo doesn't do this place justice, the food is exceptional! Really tasty burger and great lunchtime deal. Only thing that could do better is more selections for the deal. Best burger joint in ilkeston in my eyes”
“Lovely cafe, great view and wonderful food will happily go again. It was father's day so was a busier day but it has a good atmosphere. These good amount of parking with an over spill area. Will be going back on a sunnier day for sure. Nice little wonder around the windmill just outside.”
“Good honest quality food very reasonable prices. Great pies and super breakfasts.”
“What a burger, really nice. I had the Mexican burger and my daughter had the buttermilk chicken. You get a really decent size portion of chips too. I admit, burger wasn’t massive but with the chips it was really filling. Comes wrapped in ‘newspaper’ love that and then in a massive box. You get a few warm wet wipes as well. For me, love this as I have a big beard and came in handy. Top marks, will definitely be back”
“My favourite restaurant in Nottinghamshire. The food is sublime and well priced. Delicious every time. Confit Duck, Beef bourguignon are my go to dishes, oh and the soup is great too.”
“Great place for breakfast or lunch, amazing cakes and good prices. You get to see lots of planes taking off on a Saturday, so fun!”
“We live around the corner from here use the deli shop in the day around 3 times a week, its fantastic. Italian family owners. Great price on the wine in the shop big 1litre bottles of good wine for £4.95 Great all round. Went to the Restaraunt for the first time last night. Lovely food and very generous portions.”
“Had a really great meal here for my birthday. Everyone was happy with their food, my steak was cooked perfectly. Great wines too. The waiting staff were attentive and they even sent over a glass of prosecco as a present. Highly recommend! The one thing I would say is that they could do with a bit of background music for some ambience. Otherwise, can't fault it!”
“Went along to Cricketers Rest to see Muckys celebrating their 2nd Birthday. BACON DOUBLE CHEESE Double 3oz smashed Angus beel patties smoked bacon, double cheese choppedfresh onion american mustard and tomato ketchup Served in a toasted glazed brioche bun. Side of PERI PERI FRIES Signature fries with peri peri seasoning It was all delicious as usual and would highly recommend a visit to their shop.”
“Excellent food at a very reasonable price. Adam the new landlord was very welcoming. The pub has also had a very tasteful makeover since coming under new management to bring it's decor up to date which has enhanced the atmosphere too. All in all the perfect, family friendly country pub.”
“This was one of the best Sunday roasts that we’ve eaten in recent memory - delicious food and great service. We loved the cosy atmosphere and the contemporary decor - the team were friendly and service was good. Will be returning for sure!”
“Beautiful food, perfect in every way!! Only criticism is we weren’t asked how our food was soon after receiving it, brother had fries and would have liked some kind of sauce. Noticed waitresses and waiters would happily avoid eye contact, weren’t overly busy and plenty of staff but preferred to chat. Waited a long time for bill also. Again no complaints about the food compliments to the chef, staff could have been more attentive that’s all.”
“First time here and I was really impressed! The roast chicken dinner was the best I’ve ever had – the chicken was succulent, tasty, and perfectly cooked. Everything was homemade, with the stuffing being especially good, and the gravy was rich and full of flavor. The waitress was very pleasant and the service was quick. I’ll definitely be coming back!”
“Great pub, gotta be the best in the village I’d say nowadays. Always busy, had great food, something for everyone. Great garden, always has been: the place is and has been amazing since the refurb! The real ale selection is a bit lacking but that’s not their main attraction, if you want that, go to other pubs in the village! Now for the star of the show: Lawrence! He’s great, and is an amazing waiter. He takes great care of you and his customer service is always on point.”
“Came for tapas; crispy squid, Spanish hot flatbread, meatballs. All reasonably priced, squid was slightly tough but batter was lovely and light and was overall fab. Flat bread was perfect and so delicious, meatballs were also spot on. Sangria passion fruit and mango was also great. Good vibe with plenty of tables and service was really good with polite staff. Mix up on the reciept but was easily sorted. Booked the tables so no wait required. Would recommend!”
“Now regarded by many as the very best Cafe in Ruddington. Very friendly excellent staff and service. It is a delightful to spend time there .and the new name sums it up to a tee. Try it! I can guarantee you will not be disappointed”
“First time having a pint in the frame breakers. What can I say...... It's a quaint little pub in towards the centre of Ruddington, so it nicely located. The staff seem friendly, and they serve a nice array of craft ales and beers. Prices ain't bad and from what I saw of the food, it looked good. Definitely worth a cheeky beer in.”
“Had a lovely meal here, good vegan options as well as meat/fish. We loved the mocktails menu as they were very tasty. The food and service were 5 star, especially our waiter Elliot who made us feel at home.”
“Had a fantastic meal at Hickory’s Smokehouse in Nottingham last Saturday night with friends! The food was genuinely impressive — hands down the best BBQ I’ve had from anywhere in the UK. The meats were cooked perfectly, full of flavour, and had that authentic smoky taste that’s so hard to find done right over here unless I'm doing it on my BBQ at home!! The staff were brilliant too — super friendly, attentive, and brought a fun, relaxed vibe to the whole experience. It really made the visit even more enjoyable. Definitely planning to return soon. If you’re into BBQ and haven’t been yet, you’re missing out!!”
“Ordered from the brunch menu. Cumberland sausage cob, and halloumi and roast pepper toasted sandwich. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Good service and pleasant atmosphere. Will definitely go back.”
“Its great. A real pub. A must-try-it pub.”
“The food was amazing. We had a chicken and lamb Sunday lunch. A good sized portion and very reasonably priced. We had GF Chocolate Fuche cake with custard and sticky toffee pudding with custard. Both were delicious! I would highly recommend a visit! We had booked an outside table and were running late. We called to let them know and they were very understanding. Service was excellent. Thank you”
“Fantastic pub. Great food and drinks. Staff are friendly and welcoming, what more can you ask for in a pub, we've been many times and will continue to to do so.”
