“Had a spot of light lunch and a few drinks (non alcoholic) whilst waiting for my car to be serviced at the nearby Volkswagen garage. It's set on the main road but has a lovely outdoor area as well as plenty of space inside. Was pleasantly surprised with how busy it was on a Monday lunchtime! The staff are absolutely lovely and very polite / attentive. Really clean environment - including the toilets which were spotless. The food was really fresh, incredibly tasty and good value. It's a greene king so you know that the drinks are going to be cheap but they were still nice. Overall I was really satisfied with the experience and I look forward to coming back and trying some more of the menu.”

“Honestly one of the best meals my partner and I have ever had. Everything is cooked fresh and the quality of the food is incredible. The service is amazing and Mimi personally welcomed and attended to us throughout and provided excellent food recommendations on what to try. Whilst the food is slightly expensive it is definitely worth it and we wouldn’t hesitate to go again and will be returning.”

“We were dropping our son to the University of Nottingham end of September and stumbled upon Compà in Beeston on our first night of arrival. It was our son’s suggestion and we decided to check it out! I am so glad we did! The food was delicious and it was like visiting a family - cosy, warm ambiance and pretty lights inside that made it feel festive and special on a week night. We were pretty tired after flying from US to London, than taking a train to Nottingham the next morning so it was especially nice to sit down and take time to enjoy this place, yummy food while we planned next few days. We stroke a conversation with the owner who turned out to be such a wonderful kind person and it made us feel even more comfortable and welcome. It was a lovely experience and a warm welcome. “Had lunch here today and I was pleasantly surprised at how good this place was. The guy behind the counter was very helpful in explaining the menu to us. The food is generous and actually quite tasty. We sat on the picnic benches outside as there is not much seating in the place itself but someone very helpfully brought our food out when it was ready. The flatbread was fresh with a great filling ratio and a very reasonable cost! Would happily recommend to my friends and order again.”

The place is lovely inside and out, we were there for dinner tonight (30th December), only thing wrong with the evening was that the table behind us seemed to have a couple seated who were “influencers” (idiots) who seems to be streaming whilst complaining constantly about everything and each other……. I can only hope they catch me in the background scowling at their effort to ruin our and everyone else’s enjoyment of this excellent restaurant.”

“This place is class. I'm not a fan of chain pubs and this place far from that. Its like sitting in old shop. There's no place like it. Always got a great selection of beers to choose from on cask and keg. The staff are always super friendly. You can take your dog in too. One of most original and best pubs in Long Eaton.”

“The coffee here was excellent, the atmosphere incredible and the personal touches to customer care were beyond what is required. My partner has a somewhat unconventional name and spotted a bottle of wine with the same name as him. As we were discussing purchasing said wine the owner came over and delivered it to us, which was beyond anything necessary for a coffee house to do. We were absolutely blown away by the hospitality and will definitely be coming back here. You've won yourselves customers for life!”

“My friend and I went to Orissa for the first time this evening. We were greeted with friendly smiles and shown to our table. The staff were attentive and our food came out at a good time. The food itself… absolutely beautiful!! The flavour profiles in each dish were delicious and the presentation was gorgeous. The portions are really good sizes, we couldn’t finish our meals and bought the rest home with us. The price is good value and we’ll be definitely going back again. Thank you for a lovely evening.”

“Wow! This Carvery was amazing! Even though we are Liverpool Fans, the Chef gave us a huge Welcome and a generous amount of meat (I had the Beef and Pork). We moved onto the Vegetables and honestly, I can't think of a single Veg that wasn't present. All of them looked fresh (2pm ish) and replenished regularly as well as being crunchy and piping hot. The table staff were welcoming too - it was worth the drive and, we'll be back. I have a modest appetite so, don't let the size and selection of my plate put you off - there were Yorkshire's, my bro had 2, and potatoes - you can have as much as you want!”
