“One of the best breakfast that I had in UK, seriously, they are amazing. From outside the restaurant/shop doesn't look much, but once you pass their door, you will be surprised by a counter full of amazing products, some of them local. The restaurant go all the way to the back and they also have a beautiful garden. The food is all good quality, nicely prepared and delicious. I recommend trying any of the local products that they sell. They are delicious. I do recommend them!”

This place is at the very heart of my culinary journeys back to the UK - I grew up in Bottesford, it's calling brings me back every few years and whenever I'm back I visit here - the food is divine, the location superb, the ambience and staff first class. “"Wait, is THAT the building?" Yes, it is. Crazy, quirky location at the end of an old toll bridge with a giant selection of sandwiches made to order, plus crisps, snacks, water, tea, etc.. We stopped by on consecutive days while our daughter was competing at a local sports ground, and everything we got both days was first-rate (the roast pork is sublime.) Nice staff, too. Lots of cyclists in evidence so clearly a popular rest stop.”

“My husband and I stumbled across this pub after doing a walk in the area and we were really pleasantly surprised. This has to be one of the nicest outdoor seating areas I’ve come across! So many gorgeous flowers and just such a pleasant atmosphere. We had the steak pie which was lovely and a nice cold pint that went down a treat. The staff were lovely and friendly and the prices were very reasonable too! So, if it’s a nice day and you’d like a drink in a lovely, quiet beer garden, look no further!”

“The first time we came they only supplied coffee and cake, but now they offer lunches. Yay. The first thing that strikes me, it’s a lovely atmosphere. Nice and friendly staff and customers. It’s great to see they welcome laptop working and have a fair guide available to see. Encouragement for extended laptop working is upstairs with a nominal fee. Parking is available in the Broxtowe’s car park is opposite or if you can keep you visit time down to 30mins there is free street parking round the corner (we managed 35 mins and didn’t get a ticket). It is on the tram route with a stop just 2 mins up the road. The tomato soup with sourdough was lovely. The facilities are spacious and clean.”

“I've been a customer of Primo for many years. The owner has always been friendly and it's always had a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I popped in Sunday afternoon with the family and dogs after a nice walk. We had paninis and a pint which were quality. We sat in the outside seating/dining that perfectly resembles the outdoor dining areas of Italy/France. This is great to start seeing more of this in the UK. There's plenty of public parking and access to public transport on Carlton Hill. I thought I'd also mention that my wife had a delicious croissant and they have an excellent selection of pastries. 10/10 looking forward to my next visit.”

For anyone local or further afield make this a stop off point when going for a walk around Attenborough, look carefully on your maps and you will find a twitchel that brings you out opposite the Bistro from near the Trent circular walk. “Kelly is absolutely lovely and offers amazing customer service she was helpful with deciding on food and very easy to talk to. Portion sizes for the price were incredible i was blown away just by seeing how much food I had for such a reasonable price. The shop was clean and pleasant to sit in whilst waiting. The taste and enjoyment of the food was 10/10 I had the salt and pepper chips and special fried rice and I loved it. First time eating there but definitely will go again could not recommend enough.”
