“Called practice at 6pm as my dog was acutely unwell. Appt given for 6.20pm. Seen a little later than that y a lovely vet. Dog examined thoroughly, diagnosis discussed, treatment plan shared. Injection plus oral medication given. Returned home with a much more settled and comfortable dog. She is back to her normal self today. Cannot recommend this vet highly enough. Thank you”

It was recommended by our vet as they are one of the few practices in the area that perform prophylactic gastropexies, which they did in addition to spaying as part of the same operation. Our Rhodesian Ridgeback girl was very well looked after, everyone was extremely nice and professional and we were overall very happy with the service!”

“I rescued a beautiful but injured racing pigeon (broken leg) that I spotted sitting in the middle of Lady bay brdge with cars swerving all around it, wheels only inches from its vulnerable body. Having gently placed it in a box in the back of my car, I phoned all the wildlife rescue centres in the area, mostly getting nowhere (although one did phone back an hour later). I eventually spoke to someone who told me my local vet was obliged to treat wildlife (although in this instance, there was an owner) so I took it to V4P. I have since learned that the bird is undergoing treatment, is being rehabilitated and will be reunited with its owner. I'm so happy that this bird has a second chance at life. It would not have survived without mine or the V4P practice intervention. I am told that this practice does regularly treat wildlife and does not automatically euthanise unless it is the kindest thing to do. Thank you to the team!”

“Used ARK vets for the first time this week after the dog we are looking after fell ill. I was surprised and really happy at how positive the experience was. I called the surgery at 4.45pm – the phone rang twice before being answered and on this occasion they were able to see me within the hour. Both the receptionist and vet were incredibly helpful – even showing us through to a private room to wait in, as the dog was a bit overexcited. The vet was incredibly helpful and understanding. I mentioned that we are fostering the dog, so would not be able to immediately agree to any long-term treatment strategy. With this in mind, she ran through a number of possible options, did plenty of tests and recommended short term treatment options to ease the dog’s immediate issues and discomfort. An itemised receipt was provided for the owner, with the offer of calling back for further information if needed. I found ARK very caring and understanding to both dog and owner, which made things a lot easier during what could have been a difficult time. Can’t fault this vet and won’t hesitate to use them again.”

“Today I had the most amazing experience with The pet vet Bilborough. I brought my very nervous nala to have her teeth done and they went above and beyond to accommodate her, allowed me to sit with her pre and post op to keep her calm and relaxed, constantly had the team checking on us. the vets and nurses were so good with her, getting on her level and letting her take her time to come to them and did not rush her. I could not of asked for a better experience. every single member of staff i interacted with was so lovely and friendly and they seemed genuinely supportive of nala and wanted the same care and experience for her that I as her owner would want. I came here due to the dental offer but will definitely be moving here and highly recommend. i’ve been to a few vets now and have never found they understand nervous dogs or want the genuine best thing for the animal but these guys definitely do treat them as their own. thank you so much guys ❤️”

We experienced such care and sensitivity from all of the staff at the practice, and we were never rushed in any way. “Going to the vets is expensive. Been using the branch on Mapperley Top for a long time and before that the one on Woodborough road. Never had any problems with any of them. This one on Station Road has an efficient courteous receptionist. The vet is friendly, sympathetic and quick which is what the cat wants! Will be back there in 3 weeks.”

“Unfortunately we required the use of Vets Now on Christmas Day. We were welcomed by Paige who offered lots of reassurance. We then saw Gonçalo who had excellent ‘bedside’ manner despite our dog being quite nervous. He also could tell we were anxious about any prognosis so also treated us with empathy and compassion to what was happening. Everything was explained thoroughly, our dog was treated with extreme care and attention. Over the 24hrs he was with VetsNow we were kept updated and nothing was too much trouble. Thankfully he’s now on the mend. Big thanks to Gonçalo, Paige, Rebecca and Jacqueline and anybody else involved in the care of our boy who is now recovering at home. Always a scary experience, but not being in our hometown let alone own vets added to this but the service was exceptional and I’d definitely recommend! “We have used Oak House for a few years now and they are consistently brilliant. Always there if you're in need or have an emergency and appts are easily accessible. The reception staff are friendly and easy to talk to and you are always greeted warmly. We were so greatful for the way the veterinary surgeons treated our old rescue cat, she had quite a few health problems but they looked after her like one of their own. Even when she passed, she was treated with such respect and dignity and was well cared for, they really understood what we were going through. Since then they have looked after our new rescue kittens perfectly and, again, been fantastic. Never overcharge or add unnecessary charges and always check with you before going ahead with procedures etc to ensure it is within your means. Couldn't recommend highly enough!”
