“I've bought Cartwheel Coffee intermittently online and it's always fantastic, but was great to come to the cafe. Breakfast was good, the coffee was obviously great, but do not miss out on the clarified coffee sours (cocktails), they are absolutely unbelievable.”

“Came for tapas; crispy squid, Spanish hot flatbread, meatballs. All reasonably priced, squid was slightly tough but batter was lovely and light and was overall fab. Flat bread was perfect and so delicious, meatballs were also spot on. Sangria passion fruit and mango was also great. Good vibe with plenty of tables and service was really good with polite staff. Mix up on the reciept but was easily sorted. Booked the tables so no wait required. Would recommend!”

“First time having a pint in the frame breakers. What can I say...... It's a quaint little pub in towards the centre of Ruddington, so it nicely located. The staff seem friendly, and they serve a nice array of craft ales and beers. Prices ain't bad and from what I saw of the food, it looked good. Definitely worth a cheeky beer in.”

Ziggy served me and he clearly takes pride in his work, and it shows in the attention to detail and quality of the food they create. From the perfectly cooked eggs to the crispy bacon and delicious sausages every bite was a true delight. But it wasn't just the food that made this breakfast special - Ziggy's warm and welcoming personality added an extra touch of charm to the experience. They clearly love what they do, and it shows in the way they interact with customers. Overall, I would highly recommend Lounge bar to anyone looking for a top-notch meal and a friendly atmosphere. “Got my order wrong 1 time and wasn’t happy but have been going to this place for many years bound too happen 1 time right…the bacon is really fatty, nonetheless everything else is excellent. 10/10 rating the sausage is great the eggs are nice and the hash browns are amazing and staff are super nice and friendly :)”

“Great music. The cocktails and service was the best on my trip to Lincoln. So good, I went again the night after. Price of the drinks was very good too! Also for a bit of fun, there are telephones dotted around the venue which you can call and talk to random people!”

“Friday night dinner here with friends. Great atmosphere. Our server, Liv, was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. We had a minor issue which she resolved quickly and satisfactorily. She’s an absolute credit to the pub. Clare also came over and was brilliant. Fab food, great service. Highly recommend.”

“Classic pub almost unchanged since I used to visit with my Dad back in the late ‘70s. Now the brewery tap for the adjoining Nottingham Brewery and has a great range of their beers always in top condition. Friendly locals, great staff and decent pub snacks too. A reminder of what St Peter’s Street was like before it became student land. Anyone serious about beer and an authentic pub atmosphere needs to make the effort to visit. Highly recommended.”

“What a great old school village pub this is! If you want really (and I mean this most sincerely folks) well kept, perfect cask beers then this is the place! I love real ales and was spoiled for choice with 4 cracking beers. As it was around lunch time on a Sunday I could see some lovely looking plates of food being served. My wife and I both commented that we will pop back soon and partake of the munchies, so will let you know how we got on. The locals and staff were great and enjoyed a chat and also met some nice well behaved dawgs too. The pub has camping on site apparently and what a lovely location that would be here in lovely rural surroundings. We will be back soon and pull in some pub grub as well!”

“16th October 2024, we visited the Old Black Horse, and it was the Wednesday Night Pie night. We had a really good night. The price was fantastic. You can also order off the normal menu. The pies are first-rate and as good as any I have tasted before. The staff are really nice being professional and very friendly at the same time. We have been a number of times and had the Carvary. This is one of the tastest I have tasted, and the price is resealable.”

“Had a fantastic Mother's Day meal. A lovely venue with quite a nice cozy and spacious feel about it. The food was really, really good and service was great too. The table was laid out with a couple of nice additional touches, with red petals and a handwritten Mothers card. Nice touch. A big bonus is being able to take dogs in too.”

“The Rose and Crown is easily one of the best student pubs in Notts. The food and drinks are always spot on, and the BOGOF cocktails on Fridays and Saturdays are a huge plus. The entire team is friendly, welcoming, and always up for a laugh, making the atmosphere both comfortable and enjoyable. Sean is by far the best manager, while Tracy and Angela always look after customers and make sure everyone’s having a good time. The chefs are quick and provide some of the best pub food around, and karaoke nights are always entertaining, making it a go-to destinationw with a fun mood every time xx”

“Awesome pub food, good service and great atmosphere. decore is upto date and has a desent sized car park and garden area with lots of seating to enjoy the sun and to relax in and they have a small covered seating area with heaters. Dogs are welcome in the gardens and bar area, not the eatting side though. Very happy to keep going back to this one :) they have small womens &mens toilets and a dissabled toilet to the back, with a ramp at the front doors. An outside covered bit for smokers. The price depends on if you have food and drinks, or just drinks. The staff are grate and quick to serve and sort any issues out. It can get very busy in summer or events that are happening in the area, but dont let that put you off going in.”
