“Lovely selection of clothing but I found that the 'Sewing Room' where I get everything altered is actually moving to Barker Gate, Ilkeston (near Tesco, at the back of McDonald's) The ladies in the Sewing Room really do a wonderful job of shortening trousers and all sorts of clothing alteration ☺”

“This River Island store is inside the four seasons shopping centre. The Women range is downstairs. The men's range is upstairs. Staff customer service skills were fantastic”

It’s a shame that the Monsoon/Accessorize combined shop has closed down. Nottingham needs a Monsoon. But at least we still have Accessorize.”

“This is a huge Next shop that combines both the Next clothing shop and the home shop. In the clothing section there is a large selection of clothing available for men and women, boys and girls of all ages. The home store has a large selection of house hold items that include seating, lighting, bedding and much more. This is a pleasant shop with lots of unique items which can only be found in Next stores.”

“I had the absolute pleasure of bumping into Justine on the shop floor today. She is the absolute pinocle of excellent customer service. I doubled my planned spend, looked at products I wouldn’t and considered and learnt a lot about fashion. Consider getting her to do staff training to other member of staff. She was a magnet to customers asking questions and able to get answers, assisted by John. With so much on the internet now people like Justine and John bring pleasure to the instore shopping experience”

“Always have to go here for the kids school shoes, trainers and summer sport sandals. The very professional staff will measure your kids feet, one of my kids has a normal width fitting the other one has wide feet. They take the worry out buying shoes that fit correctly and give growing room too. They are expensive when you think you can buy school shoes for £8 from Asda but the fitting service and the quality of the foot wear make it more than worth it. Bad fitting footwear can lead to flat feet which can ultimately lead to hip replacements later in life. Ask any chiropodist.”

“Visited today with my four week old son. As I walked in to the store I noticed my son looked a little unwell. Clearly seeing my worry, a lovely member of staff came straight over and asked if we were ok; I told him my son looked a little unwell and he insisted I make myself comfortable in the changing room if he needs a feed, change etc. and take my time. It really put me at ease and comfortable and gave me the time I needed on one of my first trips out with him. I was able to soothe my son and get on with my shopping. The staff were super helpful and were able to find that the item I wanted wasn’t in store, but did an in store purchase to be delivered to my home for me. Definitely will be making sure we pop in on future visits in to Nottingham because the team are just amazing!! Thank you!”

“I rang Pavers to check they had the shoe in the size I wanted which they did and said they could save for me. Being temporarily disabled I was unable to get into the store, the lift was not working and there are 9 steps up inside to get to the 'ground' floor. The assistant Clare I had spoken to on the phone, came down to the car with the shoes and another pair but she said she had more than she thought were more suitable, and they were! I also bought slippers, Clare went far above the normal level of service expected and I was very happy with my purchases. I have bought from them on several previous occasions and always been very satisfied. Please get the lift mended! September 2024.”

Could do with more of a range of womens formalwear though, would've loved to buy some things for the work party like a nice suit but sadly they don't seem to do them in store - a bit surprising, as you'd think people would be going in person to try/buy the more expensive/special purchases. “Staying in Nottingham overnight so headed into the city centre, unfortunately on the walk in my cross body RI bag strap broke. It was a Christmas gift so didn’t know if I was eligible for an exchange as my partner only had proof of the bank transaction. Found River Island & the staff, Phoebe, Taylia & Yulia couldn’t have been more helpful, I was shown a similar bag which I decided to exchange. The staff were lovely and made the whole experience straightforward, Thank you”
