“I was recommended this place by my barber and it didn't disappoint. The quality of the food was excellent, the flavour was fantastic and I wish I had found this place sooner. It did take a while for delivery but the guy on the phone was very honest about it and the curry arrived early than he said. “Eaten here a number of times, both as take out and sit down meals. Food is always to a high standard, and they are always happy to make changes where possible. They also have suggested excellent choices when I have been unsure as to what I wanted. They offer a good selection of vegetarian dishes, which they can make vegan by removing and ghee, and my meat eating friends have also spoken highly of their dishes. Portion sizes are ample and the staff I have always found to be polite and friendly. Highly recommended ... If you are choosing to order from 3rd party apps, don't forget that it is out of their hands how long it takes the apps delivery driver to bring your food ...”

“Edit: As of 2019, it's still a 3. Haven't eaten there since as a result. It's a basic requirement to have decent food safety, even before the quality of the cooking. Great food, easily my favorite indian. Excellent selection of dishes with different tasting varieties. Served hot, and with good attention to their hygiene rating which is currently a 5!”

“Our family has been visiting the Emsworth area from the states annually for 20+ years and Taste of India is always a highlight. Generous portions, incredible service, and top notch flavor. We used to dine in, but now with an elderly father and a young daughter, we opt for take away and it’s just as good. Chicken tikka masala, tandoori chicken, lamb saag, chicken jalfrezi, palaak paneer, garlic cheese naan. Everything was delicious, as always. Thank you for always hitting the spot! We were so busy demolishing the food that I forgot to take pictures.”

“Guru is definitely my favourite place to get a curry from in the area, I’m a very fussy eater and guru just always comes out on top each time. The ordering process is quick, I normally order online however have called and they are very lovely people and made it easy to order via calling, they picked up straight away! You can request delivery times and they always have accommodated with me. I have recommended to all my family who also agrees their food is amazing!”

I can't score 'atmosphere' as only had takeaway, but it all looked clean, crisp and tidy. Reserved markers on several tables which indicates a popular place to eat in. Service is always friendly and they offer free onion bhajis. You even get a 20% discount when paying with cash on Sunday. I’ll definitely order again and recommend it.
