“Got onion bhajis, railway Lamb and Bombay bread via deliveroo. Absolutely amazing. Bhajis, light and flavoursome. Accompanying sauce tasty and hot. Lamb, unctuous and rich. I’m more a paratha man, rather than a naan, but this was lighter than naan, and so tasty! Tempted to move down from Wilts just for this place! Thank you!”

“We love Bar Aroma; just knowing we’ll be there lifts our spirits, whether it’s for our morning coffee or a breakfast of excellent proportions and flavour. Everything is delicious with an Italian flair: the coffee, the quality of the desserts, the seasoning of the food, and you can even find Italian products if that’s your thing. What we enjoy most is the good energy from the staff—they make us feel welcome and at home. They’re the kind of team that motivates you to come back; they remember your name, what you like and what you don’t. It’s clear they do everything with love and passion, and that’s always appreciated when receiving good service. They’re pet-friendly, organise activities with local artists, and you can also book them for important events like Christmas dinner. There are lovely details all around the place, and there are extra services that are much appreciated, like a place to hang your coat and self-service water. The atmosphere is visually pleasing, with photos and touches of Italy. They sell alcohol too :) after all, it’s a bar, hehe. We’re so happy to have places like this in Portsmouth.”

“Food, service, and atmosphere were all just about as good as it can be at any Indian restaurant. I arrived with friends at 17:30 on a Friday, so quite early. But, already, the restaurant was filling up, suggesting it's very popular - rightly so, in my opinion.”

“What an absolute gem of a place ! Stopped off here while on a visit to the island it was recommended by the owner of the chocolate shop ..... a fellow biker . We was so glad we took his advice as the atmosphere, the food , the staff everything was spot on The food was huge potions and very good value with quality products. We had the breakfast witch was around £12 and worth every penny . I had the burger and has it was burger night it was only £10 was huge and I struggled to finsh it We came back on the evening too after bike night but unfortunately they had just stopped serving food”

“Really hard to fault anything at this restaurant. Super friendly servers and all of the dishes had an authentic taste. The house Pho, in particular, was as good as any that I've had in Hanoi. The summer spring rolls were delightful too, as was the mango salad. The Morning Glory also had a really decent spicy kick to it, as well as having a decent crunch to it. I'll definitely be coming back here for more authentic Vietnamese cuisine.”

“First time trying this place out so I thought I’d treat myself. Staff were friendly and helpful which is always a bonus! I got the Chicken Korean Style Box which included the following: “Chicken boneless Korean wings coated in double glazed zing sauce, served with Korean style corn dog, chips, kimchee slaw, a sprinkle of mixed sesame seeds and spring onion, garnished with fresh lime” with that I also added chips and a small pot of their popular garlic sauce. You get to choose between chips and rice. I loved everything (including the sauce) apart from the chicken corn dog which wasn’t anything special, next time I will opt for the mozzarella corn dog.”

“We came at midday and had the full desi breakfast which was so nice, it includes paratha, omelette, spicy sausages, spicy beans, halwa and aloo. The desi chai is also a must have!! Will definitely come back very soon.”

“On a grey winter day, it was great to take my mother somewhere cosy for lunch. An open fire, home cooked food, friendly staff. Being busy with regular customers on a Tuesday tells you a lot. For beer lovers, they have a good selection of real ales. I recommend booking, we were lucky to get a table.”

“Had lunch on Tuesday. We had the mint lamb shank and steak and ale pie. Both were superb, the steak pie was not only huge but the meat was so tender and very tasty. The young lady who served us was also excellent and very helpful as my wife has a nut allergy. Very good experience all round.”

“I’m in here at least once a week for my lunch. Pizza Hut offers a £4 lunch meal with a small pizza and garlic bread, perfect for college students like myself. Staff are always cheerful, polite and straightforward. I’ve Never found myself waiting more than 10 minutes after placing an order, overall excellent staff, service, food and experience.”

“Was my first visit to the ivy with my parents for my pre birthday treat. The food was absolutely amazing So was the service provided by the staff. We were served by an amazing young lady called Eloise her attention to detail was 1st class she always had a smile on her face & made us feel very comfortable throughout our meal. The whole team at the ivy Chichester were brilliant Would recommend the ivy to anyone will definitely visit again worth very penny”

“I recently ordered a delivery from Wagamama in Whiteley, and I was really impressed with the whole experience. Delivery food can sometimes be hit or miss, but this order arrived in excellent condition — everything was still really warm, fresh, and ready to eat straight away, which made a big difference. The food itself tasted great. Wagamama always has that balance of flavours — rich broths, fresh ingredients, and vibrant spices — and this order didn’t disappoint. I particularly liked how well-prepared and neatly packaged everything was, which meant nothing spilled or arrived soggy, something that can sometimes happen with takeaway. The portion sizes were very generous, definitely good value for money, and more than enough to feel satisfied. The seasoning was spot on, though I personally would have loved a little more coriander to lift the freshness even further — but that’s just down to personal taste, and it didn’t take away from how enjoyable the dishes were overall. What I also appreciated was the consistency in quality compared to eating in the restaurant. Often when you order delivery, it doesn’t feel quite the same, but Wagamama Whiteley managed to keep that high standard even through a delivery order. Everything had that same vibrant flavour and comforting feel that makes their food so popular. All in all, I’d highly recommend ordering from Wagamama Whiteley if you’re in the area and looking for tasty, well-prepared food that travels well. Great portions, fresh flavours, and reliable delivery — we’ll definitely be ordering again soon!”

“What a “Little Gem” of a place for a Good pub meal. I went here last night for a nice pub meal with my wife and son. We had booked our table earlier on that evening, when we arrived we were greeted by two bar staff with “Big smiles” and shown to our table. The table was clean and tidy and the dining room was about half full. We ordered our food and it came out fleshly cooked a short time later, everything was cooked correctly and tasted lovely. So to sum up the Pub, Lovely helpful staff, Lots of Free parking, Clean tables and cutely, Spotless toilets which are always a really good sign and tasty Pub grub all for a fair price. We will be returning shortly to this little lovely Pub again.”

“Cafe Mendos has become my staple Saturday breakfast when I'm in the area. You will be given a warm welcome by the team and they serve your standard range of cafe food. I go for a mega 3 breakfast (pictured), which goes down a treat. Hash browns are crispy, choice of drinks and toast/fried bread. Good value for the size of portions given. Food is cooked to order and service is friendly. When I take a little one with me, they always make sure to address them and make them feel welcome too. High chairs available. It's located behind the hand car wash, near to B and M. If you like a full English, I would recommend!”

“This is my new favourite Indian restaurant in Portsmouth, the food was amazing and great service. It's a bit off the beaten track, but it's definitely worth the cost of a taxi.”

“A good find for a Greene King pub in Stubbington. Friendly punters, good staff, fast service, plenty of seating, including a beer garden and additional outdoor seating out the front. A good range of Alcoholic beverages as well as non alcoholic beers. A Decently sized car park as well. This pub has a weekly calender of what's on with a mixture of food/drinks deals depending on the day of the week.”

“The food was amazing. Sourdough pizza and loaded potatoes were perfect. Desert did not disappoint as well. Service was great too and the atmosfer was very relaxing. We had fun playing the Trivia game found on the table. We’ll definitely come back when visiting the area.”

“First time visiting here. Went there for lunch with a friend. I had the eggs Benedict and it was lovely. My friend had the tater tots with sausage and bacon and the portion was huge!!! The food was lovely and hot. Will definitely be going back again. It has a great menu with lots of fabulous choices.”
