“Well the 5 star award had to come out, first time in 2025. The scones are fantastic. I had the fruit Scone with butter, and the pot of tea was a good strong brew. They topped up the pot with more hot water, excellent customer service. BIG THANK YOU to George who baked freshly on the premises that morning my fruit Scone. We will be back, Sidney enjoyed his doggee biscuit and bowl of water. Yes dogs welcome.”

“Went for a charity event! The band were brilliant, the club members were very welcoming, bingo was ace!!! We raised nearly £700 for Ashgate Hospice and MND charities! Brilliant night!”

“First time I've been inside this club and I was pleasantly surprised. There is a large car park to the back of the building. The function room is large with a stage at the front, toilets to the side and a bar at the back of the room. The room is spacious with plenty of tables and chairs. I attended for a baby shower combined with a gender reveal and a birthday party. The drinks prices are reasonable and they serve a good cup of coffee.”

“Just been for Sunday Lunch and I have to say it's one of the best I have ever had ! The food is plentiful, home made and very tasty. I don't normally like mashed potatoes but they were amazing ! Staff really friendly. We will definitely be going back.”

“The food is to be expected for a hungry horse. However, unlike other hungry horses, the atmosphere and the staff are fantastic. We use the soft play area quite a lot and we see Judith nearly every time we go she is amazing with the kids and super friendly.”

“So first of all I want to say how amazing the staff has been towards me and my family. They are always welcoming and generous, they take time to talk with you, we’ve had the pleasure to get to know them. There was a time when we were struggling for money, as I normally get a monthly pass. The staff went out of their way and put together the money to buy me and my daughter a pass for the next month. I was and still am incredibly touched by their generosity as they didn’t need to do that for us, they went out of their way and we are incredibly grateful.”

“Had our kitchen renovated by these guys and they were excellent, San was a great project manager, and communicated with us the whole way through the renovation, nothing was too much trouble wanted us to be totally happy and went the extra mile to make it happen. Steve and Gary were great, and worked incredibly hard. We told them we were on a budget and worked with us to create a lovely kitchen for an amazing price, can highly recommend them”

“Absolutely amazing restaurant, especially for those gluten free. It’s not often you visit somewhere where pretty much the whole menu is inclusive to those GF and coeliac. Staff were incredible knowledgable, helpful with choices and the food was delicious. Already planning my next trip back!”

From the welcoming atmosphere, the friendly and engaging staff, the prompt but not rushed service and the fantastic food. All pics were a true reflection on what we received. Portions were great, flavours and presentation. The prices were very reasonable too. Oh, trust me, don't miss desert...... Great portions and tasty... Go, eat, drink and enjoy.....”

Helen was an amazing host, very generous, friendly, chatty, kind, hospitable, attentive etc. The beds were extremely comfortable, large and warm too. Beautiful, spacious rooms with excellent decor too. The breakfasts were absolutely amazing, exceptional too. Cannot recommend this place enough. Immense value for money too. Thank you very much. “Well worth visiting!!! Such a fantastic place, it doesn't look like much from the road but the nursery itself is much bigger than expected, it sweeps all the way back and even has a Cafe behind it. Its such a peaceful place to be, the cafe has such a homely feel to it and even has an outdoor seating area where you are surrounded by the plants from the nursery. I cannot complain about the food either as the burgers are the best, they even do homemade chips. The only downside is that the nursery is only open seasonally for the summer bedding season, this is a shame as it compliments the cafe so well during the summer. Price's are average but the quality is fantastic.”

“We recently asked My Fathers Heart to redesign and install a new kitchen and could not be more pleased with the final result. Chrissi listened to our requirements and produced a fantastic design that exactly suited what we were seeking. The installation team did a great job - super workmanship, attention to detail and clean and tidy throughout. A couple of items were damaged in transit and these were replaced without any quibbles. Thanks to Chrissi, Jonathan, Graham, Aaron and all of the MFH team on a job well done. Special thanks also to Artisan Stone for beautiful worktops and great workmanship.”

“Lovely place with a variety of animals and a good coffee. dog friendly. Great for a day out. They also do very fun events and workshops so it’s worth checking out what’s on! Also selling plants, manure, eggs etc”

“Very helpful staff and always stocks the most common items for the DIY enthusiast. They offer advice if needed and can delivey goods locally. Their prices offer great value for money and quality is always good. Finally, should you get any defective goods there appears to be a no quibble policy on returns. Highly recommend..”
