“Lovely place, a bit dull at moment given where still in winter mode, A few paths closed ( seem to be water logged 2/2/25 ) not much in way of birds or deer. Great walk around and a few people about , Cafe area is large but the wooden/metal chairs are too heavy.”

“An absolutely wonderful place. We stayed 4 nights and didn't want to leave! Mark has made us feel right at home from the minute we arrived. The room was perfect with high quality furnishings and bedding and the dining room where breakfast is served is absolutely gorgeous. “We have travelled to Matlock nine times over the past eleven years, each time staying at local B&B's. Whilst we have enjoyed many wonderful venues, Glendon is by far the very best to date! An absolutely gem of a find! The team were so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The house is beautiful and perfectly maintained. Parking is private and perfectly located at the rear of the building with direct access to the main road. The rooms are equally clean and well equipped - as well as nice and quiet, which was a lovely surprise bearing in mind the proximity to the main road. We will definitely be back!”

Absolutely brilliant cottage. loads of space did not want for anything. surroundings are lovely, the play barn which has everything children and adults would need also plenty to do for the kids in the area. “This was my third stay at Millstream Mews, this time in the lovely Fiddlesticks. It's not just comfortable but positively luxurious - and outrageously clean! How Richard manages to keep the properties in such tip-top condition with guests who enjoy all the muddy outdoor activities that the area offers I do not know, but he does, and in a very friendly, efficient and unobtrusive manner. It's not just the accommodation itself that is first class, but also the location. While quietly tucked away and private, you are just a few minutes easy and pleasant walk from the centre of Bakewell itself, which has every amenity you could possibly need for your stay. Bryce clearly wants his guests to have a great time, every time, and I am already looking forward to my next visit.”

“Darwin forest lodges is a brilliant self catering lodges. The Lodge had everything we needed, it was spotlessly clean. They is a swimming pool, soft play area. Golf, spa, pool table, restaurant. The staff are very friendly and if you need help with anything they well help you. They is some lovely walks which is easy for small children. I would very highly recommend it.”

“Review added as someone who was wandering the park, not staying here The views from the grounds around the tower are fantastic. Three cannons pointing out over the derwent valley, with views of Edensor Church in the distance, and various parts of the Peak District. Definitely makes for a unique photo and on a blue sky day in autumn, must be wonderful to see (i went in early october, so the colours are only just starting to change For anyone thinking about staying here. The sign says it’s private, but I imagine this tower is photo’d dozens of times a day, and tourists will be yards from your door”

“Fantastic place to visit for all the family. We parked in the car park and did a lovely 8mjle loop route finishing off in the Longshaw cafe. I recommend you get to the car park early to avoid it being full in peak season.”
