“I've been coming here for a while now with my mother the food is always good I either get a panini or a burger but always with some coleslaw on the side. Which is homemade the waitresses are always polite and friendly and laugh at my lame jokes. This cafe also opens really early in the mornings and you can order lunch if you don't want breakfast the cook knows what he's doing it takes a good meal to make a 260 pound man happy I will continue to come here for some decent and stomach filling food.”

“4* for convenience, cleanliness, service and for location. We've used The Lawns before and used a family room on 1st floor. Simple but elegant furnishings, so well organised with 2 kitchens to either use for a simple meal or something more. We took our ingredients for a chicken curry and our son and grandson (local) joined us. We will always use The Lawns for value and ease of use. Thank you.”

“I booked the spa and overnight stay for our 20th wedding anniversary. The spa was wonderful so relaxing and the staff were amazing even preparing us a surprise dessert after our wonderful lunch. The hotel is a beautiful place, our room was perfect. A lot of work has gone into this place to achieve its grandeur. We spent a lovely evening in the bar/restaurant and the food didn’t disappoint and the service was excellent. Thank you all at ye olde bell and spa for helping make our 20 anniversary one to remember.”

“Wow! Not enough stars to rate this restaurant. To say they blew us away with customer service is an understatement. 3 of us booked in for breakfast & we mentioned it was a pre wedding breakfast for the Groom, Grooms father & Best man. We arrived to find the table set up specially for us with a boxed flower arrangement & card written to the groom from all the staff. It was a tear jerker. Irrespective of the fact only 3 of us had booked to attend, the management had taken the decision to go the extra mile knowing we couldn’t possibly eat or drink enough to pay for the flowers or maybe they’d just break even. We talked about how amazingly kind they’d been all day. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. I nearly forgot to tell you just how great the food was too! The best breakfast I’ve had for a few years also. They have freshly squeezed orange juice which was a treat you don’t often find. Super sausages & black pudding! The groom is vegan & Rondo caters as part of their standard offer a full vegan menu choice. Quite genuinely, it’s brilliant with awesome staff! Thank you all.”

Fabulous little find with a restaurant at the side for anyone wanting to eat in The fish is out of this world and we have tried others but we are always comparing it to JM's. Charlotte was brilliant from organising the booking beforehand, sorting out the billing and handling 22 tipsy women! All the serving staff were also friendly and helpful!”

“This must be one of the best fish & chip shops that I've ever used. The quality is great - tasty fish with a nice thick crunchy batter and chips which have a good bite and not soggy. A standard portion is really large - however they do what they call 'mini' portions which are more like standard portions elsewhere. The shop and staff are well presented. The service is warm and friendly but efficient - you rarely have to wait long, even at busy periods. This place is close to where we live but is well worth travelling to for a top quality meal.”

“Found this open one bank holiday Monday evening when my usual Bawtry haunts weren't. Well, what a find.... I've been back numerous times since for a takeaway. All the dishes I've had this far have been excellent, my wife especially enjoys the Tandoori chicken. While i've not had the same dish twice. Prices are reasonable too. Highly recommended”

“Pizza Piccante is always our go to takeaway choice! Food is always fantastic. We usually have a pizza or burger & both have always been great! Turns up piping hot, always enough topping on the pizzas & burgers & our order turns up on time, unlike other places we’ve ordered from. The milkshakes are amazing too! They nearly always throw us some cookies in our order, which are really appreciated! The delivery drivers are always lovely & really pleasant too, a credit to the company! Never had a bad experience or bad food from these guys! Would definitely recommend giving them a try!”

“Absolutely beautiful small family run business...came and had a gorgeous meal with my partner the team was extremely warm and welcoming to us....there is a great selection of drink choices same with meal choices....food arrived promptly and hot and staff carried regular check backs to make sure we was comfortable and happy. Absolutely loved my chicken balti and pilau rice and highly recommend.....we will be visiting again for sure.”
