“I love this place. There are so many bargain clothes to choose from. Most of the clothes are not the best quality but I always find a hidden gem. Some items are very cheap and of good quality. 3 floors to search, so prepare to spend los of hours in there.”

“Excellent food shop, and sensible well made clothes. M&S set the standard when it comes to towels and bed linen. Feel guilty about buying from M&S because of their links to Israel and the genocide that's going in Gaza. Probably shouldn't shop there these days?”

“Woke up this morning to two free hot drinks as I had been a John Lewis member for a year. My daughter and I were xmas shopping and stopped for a break. The staff were very busy, the place was packed but they were friendly, professional and happy, having to stop and explain things to customers in the queue, but with a smile and not rushing people. I had a lovely cappuccino and the pistachio cake was lovely, would definitely recommend. Well done under pressure the team was working amazingly well.”

“This store is quite new in the town. It is cheap and cheerful but quality isn't all that bad to be fair. Kids school polos are fairly decent and at £2.50 for two are almost throwaway items but seem to wash well. Manager very helpful also.”

“Good quality clothing products. Always a lovely variety. I adore the handbags here where they also sell matching purses all beautifully made. And the shoes have a nice variety in stock to from stilletos boots and trainers available up to size 8. Also on offer are a lovely selection of coats available in different lengths and styles. Clothes sizes available are sizes 6 to 18.”

“Well most of the customer will take the time to leave a review when they had a negative experience. A few days ago, I had an amazing experience at the store in the Swan centre in Eastleigh. I went to see if they had some Halloween costumes for my boys, which they had. Then, at the till, they have their new self check out till. Although it meant to be used by yourself but the lady behind the counter was much more efficient than me. Plus, I didn't have my H&M membership card and being with two young boys, I needed to go out quickly before they make a scene. She very kindly and very quickly find my membership number, check for vouchers and had everything done in less than a few minutes. I pay for my items with some great discount and left the shop very happy. Amazing shopping experience. However, I can't thank her properly as there is no name on the receipt. Anyway, thank you for your time and your help.”

“August 2025: Now moved to a new location around the corner in the former Next shop location close to JD Sports. I saw an add on my phone about a special offer at Mataland. So, I went to my local store at West Quay retail park. I went inside and was looking around for the item. I found the entire store to be really tidy and well set out as if it had just opened. I found a member of staff who, I later discovered was the manageress. I bought the item on offer and continued to look around the store. I was very impressed by everything. I don’t normally shop here but upon seeing this immaculately displayed store I will definitely be coming back again. The prices are also very good value too.”

“When open the store is a great place to visit , great value for items , very polite and helpful staff. Stock well presented. Plenty of dressing rooms ( not able to use due to Covid) . Click and collect service is available and you are kept updated by text to say when recived in store. Remember to use your membership card.”

“I used to buy in Matalan several years ago then I moved house several times and it wasn't a shop near me and this time there is a nice shop one hour away from me but I like it very much We spent more time and money on what we wanted but we will shop here again as they have nice clothes and good prices. I like the size of the shop, easy to move around and the queue to try on your clothes doesn't exist so you don't waste time waiting. The cashier was polite and she took her time with us. All very good.”
