“Slightly biased as have been coming here since the early 80s, and although we miss the old style pub, it could have ended up much worse than it is design wise. Food quality is back on an even keel and is consistently of good quality and presentation this taking away that level of apprehension you feel when you go to so many restaurants these days. Shout out to the young ladies and men of the service team who provide a very professional level of service in a pub / restaurant which I know for a fact can suffer from some challenging customers at times...”

“We had a superb visit to Taco Taco. The owners/ chefs are friendly and clearly passionate about their dishes. The food was amazing and the best presentation of Mexican food I've ever seen (and I've tried a lot). The sweet potato Taco was my favourite and the pineapple margarita went down very well. “Hursley Cafe is definitely the café we’ve visited the most since moving to Southampton. With its great value for money, we find ourselves coming here almost every Sunday. This is a record of our visit two weeks ago, after our eldest daughter and her friend finished rugby practice in Eastleigh. We ordered Egg Royale, Lasagne, a Kids’ Meal, Mocha, and Hot Chocolate. The food quality was excellent, and the portions were generous. This café gets extremely busy on Sunday mornings, so we highly recommend calling ahead to make a reservation to avoid long waiting times.”

“Found this little gem - and didn't expect to find this view on my way out of Totton! Small fishing lodge cafe sitting amidst 3 lakes and beautiful views. Service staff were lovely and attentive; happy to chat but not disturbing at all. Wide variety of milkshakes to choose from, after a lovely Full English Breakfast. Will definitely come back.”

“This family run restaurant is a real hidden gem in Southampton. The chef and staff are amazing and extremely friendly, which means that the service is definitely world class. The food (pizza) is absolutely delicious and I’m sure it was the best pizza I’ve ever had. I would highly recommend this restaurant from whatever occasion.”

“Elsabel cafe dose not disappoint had the best afternoon tea for a family gathering I have ever tried. Sandwiches and cakes were so professional and of such a high standard was more like a afternoon tea from a posh New forest establishment. Owner and family could not have done more for us welcoming and friendly made the table soo pretty for my mum's birthday.Would highly recommend a try ,you will be hard pushed to find better even for twice the price .”

Delivery is usually longer than other places but that’s because they are so good they are always busy. “I've been coming here for a few years now, and I always get the food with shisha because, honestly, it's the best shisha in Southampton. Lately, I've been hooked on their chicken burgers and loaded fries—they're seriously tasty! Today, I tried adding some onion rings and chicken wings. While I still love the chicken burgers and loaded fries, the wings and onion rings were a bit cold. The wings were still better than Wingstop—meaty and juicy. The onion rings could've been a bit more golden, though. Overall, still a solid spot!”
