“We visited The Bridge Inn today, for a celebratory 90th birthday lunch, with our Mum. The restaurant was busy when we arrived and there was a lovely atmosphere. Liv was our waitress and she looked after us really well. In fact, all the staff were friendly and welcoming. The service was excellent, attentive but not overly so. We ordered drinks while we looked at the menu, which was quite varied and well laid out. We chose our mains and we didn’t have to wait very long before the food was served, nice and hot. A couple of us had the steak and ale pie, which was delicious! Two others had chicken dishes, which were very tasty too, and one of us had the special venison burger, which was amazing! Deserts followed, including sticky toffee pudding, chocolate brownies, and apple tart, all of which were absolutely delicious. James was our chef today, and we got to chat with him, briefly, after our meals. The prices were very reasonable indeed, and the service charge wasn’t added automatically, like many restaurants, but we didn’t hesitate to add our own cash tip, as the whole experience was just perfect. Definitely a birthday lunch to remember, and I’d highly recommend a visit to The Bridge Inn, at Shawford.”

The bar and restaurant is very stylish and cosy with very attentive staff and a fabulous drinks and food menu, highly recommended! Make the effort to keep walking down the High Street, past the run of the mill pubs and walk into Bridge Street House, you will not be disappointed.”

“Came here for lunch and I was completely blown away! Situated outside of the main town, this gem of a place was a really great find. Quality of ingredients was superb, especially the salmon. Prices were reasonable. Definitely recommend the peking duck roll, eel unagi & salmon nagiri. The menu has a ton of items so be prepared to be overwhelmed at first! There’s something for everyone. Server was really nice and attentive during our visit. 10/10”

“Although Winchester does have a number of pizza restaurants already, The Pizza Tavern is a great new addition. As it's not a big chain, you're getting great quality pizzas and supporting a local independent business. My pizza was delicious, and I thought it was very fairly priced for the quality. The service was friendly and efficient, and I liked the rustic setup in the restaurant. It's not somewhere I feel you would go for an 'evening out' as when I visited, there were not any starters or desserts offered, but it is great for a quick meal if you're out and about or at the start of an evening out. I will definitely be back.”

“I had two major instances where I experienced the professionalism of A-Plan. For me, it was simple - I turned all the known details of the claims over and they handled everything ! No phone calls to those on-line brokers, but face to face on a comfortable chair. A nice "lad" (I'm 77) Richard Hennen dealt with my cases, and for me really made the firm shine. If you ever find a cheaper quote on line, take it in and let them look through it. They will find the reasons it is cheaper - usually much bigger excesses, but they will always enquire to see if their insurer will match it. I have to say, everyone I have ever dealt with, have been extremely helpful and knowledgeable.”

Was so worried about the horror stories of companies not showing, I was in full blown PANIC MODE Booking, but the lady I spoke to on the phone was VERY helpful and re-assuring. The owner and his assistant delivered and were waiting for me at the venue, they had already brought the stuff in before I even got the cake in, within minutes it was up, weighted down and safe with ample mats so the children were safe- as well as very excited, the owner (Adam) then demonstrated safety aspects and pointed out some things that I didnt feel obvious but needed to know. Very thankful for this company, their patience and professionalism. Highly Recommended - will use again!!”
