“Went for the buffet for two, food and service was amazing. Everything tasted home cooked and authentic, staff serving is was very kind, funny and respectful. Owner seems genuinely nice and made us feel welcome on our first time there. I don't understand the 1 star reviews, we really enjoyed the food.”

“Myself & my family visit this pub regularly and it doesn’t ever disappoint. We are a family of 4 and always feel warmly welcomed and enjoy spending time here. The staff are all very welcoming and attentive and always trying their best to please the customer. It’s a wonderful, family run pub and we will continue to support them for a long time yet. “Had such a wonderful time dining here with a big group of friends. The food was top quality — every dish was delicious and well-prepared. But what really made the experience stand out was the service. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly patient. A big thank you to Manager AJ and our lovely waitress Dina — both were so attentive and genuinely friendly. There were also two male waiters who helped us a lot throughout the meal, though we didn’t catch their names. Still, their service didn’t go unnoticed! With a group our size, things can get messy, but the team handled everything so smoothly. Orders were taken clearly and accurately, and when it came time to split the bill, it was done in such a neat and organized way — really appreciated that. We all left full and happy. I’ll definitely be back, and won’t hesitate to recommend this place to my friends!”

“We needed a cold drink and a sit down during our visit to Romsey. The Phoenix stood centre stage on the high street. Not very alluring from the outside but just what we needed on the inside. A lovely chatty young lady served us a pint of ale and a lime and soda for a really good price compared to other establishments in the south of England. She chatted whilst she poured the drinks too which also makes a difference to me. Relatively quiet we found a table away from the bar and settled down. A typical old fashioned pub, nothing special, wooden floors, basic tables and chairs, 80s music playing in the background, quirky wall paper, nothing special but it had something, it had the ability to talk to your companion, it felt comfortable, not quite sure what it was but it definitely had something, maybe just the ambiance, who knows. If we were in Romsey again we would definitely pass through its doors again.”

“Lovely place to dine in! The best part is that you get to choose what and how much goes in your hot pot. You pay by the gram so it can be as cheap as £6 and it’s a healthy meal. I am now a regular customer! Unfortunately, it’s cash only.”

“It was a very busy Xmas lunch day, (Sunday 14th Dec) the staff were very very busy. The lady running the bar was the first point of contact and took the brunt of moans and groans from the customers. It took ages to get shown our table, but we could see how stretched the staff were. There were 3 staff on duty to look after a packed restaurant, serve food and clear plates, as well as run the bar area. I love this pub, always, including this visit, had the best customer service. But please help the staff out and put extra on shift, I would hate to see you lose these wonderful people due to being overstretched and basically not giving the customer service they want to Thanks again to those three ladies, you rocked it xxxxxx”

“From the moment we viewed Pixies we felt comfortable and secure with all the staff, facilities and environment we were choosing to send our son to. We never have to worry with what he's eating, what learning and development he's doing or how he's being taken care of. We are given a full hand over every day of his activities, sleep pattern, meals and any developments he's made, they inform you straight away of any little accidents he may have had, document everything and if he's under the weather they call you just to keep you updated. I'm so pleased we managed to get him in to Pixies as the waitlist gets filled so quickly. We absolutely recommend a meeting and viewing and the management team and all Pixies staff do a fantastic job!”
