“Haddock and standard chips less than £13. However the portion would serve two people. Crispy home made "fat" chips and crunchy fish batter. Excellent food, well done and certainly recommended.”
“A lovely traditional English pub. Friendly and welcoming staff, spotlessly clean, clean toilets, lovely and cozy outdoor seating area with cover. Mature and friendly clientele. Highly recommend a visit. My wife and I have already decided that this pub will be our "go to" pub next time we are in Romsey.”
“Great little shop and has evri drop off”
“Sells most things but can prove expensive..Some good deals. Always open so very handy.”
“I've been a regular at Jade House for a while now, and it consistently delivers a solid Chinese takeaway experience. The menu is diverse, with all the classics, and they do a great job with their dishes. The portion sizes are generous, and the prices are quite reasonable. The service is generally prompt, though there have been a couple of times when the wait was a bit longer than expected. Nevertheless, the quality of the food usually makes up for any delays. The staff is friendly and always ready to accommodate special requests. Overall, Jade House is a reliable choice for satisfying Chinese food cravings. It's not the most upscale place, but the comfort of good, consistent food keeps me coming back.”
“Cheap but always have to wait a while to pay”
“Had a sunday roast here....what a great roast dinner it was....a trio of meats cooked too perfection. My wife and daughter had had the roast chicken and none of us finished there was so much. Great staff very attentive. If you want great food at a great price go here!”
“This is a charming cafe set right in the centre of Romsey, looking out onto the main square. I had a chicken and brie panini which was truly delicious. And all of the young staff were charming and enthusiastic. Thank you and a Happy New Year.”
“I think for us this was the best place to eat. Lovely and delicious fries and great atmosphere overall”
“Had a very enjoyable meal for Mothers Day. My Mum's seafood platter looked incredible. The waitress was very helpful and informative, especially in regard to my Mother-in-Law's gluten allergy. We had a very cozy table tucked away from the main restaurant. A very nice night all round.”
“Had a really nice brunch here on our day off. First visit and it was very nice. Fresh, nicely presented food, and friendly staff. Decor was lovely aswell.”
“We came down from Scotland and stayed in one of the Superior Rooms. Full air con, very roomy as it is an accessible room. Had plenty of room to manoeuvre my power chair. Staff are very friendly and remember you from previous visits. We had meal deals so enjoyed dinner and breakfast. Everything was excellent. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else when visiting family and friends or going on a cruise.”
“Come here every week for breakfast, and always bring my children in the holidays as they love it too. £11 for an all you can eat breakfast is so worth it and the food is lush. The staff are lovely and so welcoming :)”
“Lovely service, friendly and very welcoming, I've been to a lot of eateries and this is the only place I can truly say make propwr cheesy chips, bang on.”
“BEST. CAFE. NERO. ON. EARTH. Great coffees, great staff, great food, great company. What's not to like? Excellent.”
“We needed a cold drink and a sit down during our visit to Romsey. The Phoenix stood centre stage on the high street. Not very alluring from the outside but just what we needed on the inside. A lovely chatty young lady served us a pint of ale and a lime and soda for a really good price compared to other establishments in the south of England. She chatted whilst she poured the drinks too which also makes a difference to me. Relatively quiet we found a table away from the bar and settled down. A typical old fashioned pub, nothing special, wooden floors, basic tables and chairs, 80s music playing in the background, quirky wall paper, nothing special but it had something, it had the ability to talk to your companion, it felt comfortable, not quite sure what it was but it definitely had something, maybe just the ambiance, who knows. If we were in Romsey again we would definitely pass through its doors again.”
“Service with a smile doesn’t even begin to describe it. The staff were wonderfully warm and welcoming, creating a relaxed atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The food was exceptional — every dish perfectly done. Sitting among the locals added a lovely, authentic touch; it truly felt like being part of a family gathering rather than just another meal out.”
“Excellent service from Reeve Bakers in Romsey. Sat in for the first time - we have been here for 5 years and never stopped in. Charmaine looked after us and nothing was too much trouble. Simply superb - thank you”
“When I grew up in Romsey I LOVED Roma Pizza. I havent had one in over 10 years. Visiting today, I had to get one for my partner to try just to see if it was the same. It was!! He loved it and so did I. Great food!! I have mobility issues and we ordered from Uber Eats and the gentleman who delivered it was so kind, thoughtful and helpful and if i could give more stars I would. Thank you.”
“Our room was very nice and cleaned to a high standard. Bed comfy, exceptionally clean bathroom. Staff; Gareth went above & beyond in helpfulness, nothing was too much trouble, esp helping with my wifi problem. Jackie on reception was friendly & professional. It is so nice to meet staff willing to help and appearing to enjoy their work. Thank you. We highly recommend this Premier Inn.”
“We had a lovely stay at the hotel. Staff were very friendly, check in was quick and easy. Room was normal - we had 2 pop up beds for the kids. Only negative comment is the mattress was too firm for us. Breakfast was lovely in the morning. Location was 15minutes away from Paultons park.”
“Great food and decor. Attentive and polite staff. A lovely place for a meal in Romsey. Didn’t have the full menu available but what they did have was very well made and flavourful. A bit noisy due to the bar and restaurant being connected but that’s to be expected in a bar/restaurant venue on a Saturday night. Overall I would recommend The Olive Tree.”
“What a gorgeous little hidden gem of a traditional style country pub! Stopped off on the way home. The staff were lovely and friendly, and the food arrived quite quickly too! Nice sized portions and tasted delicious.”
“Fresh local eggs available and a lot of waste free accessories for sale (some of them at affordable prices). Definitely worth visiting!”
“Bang on !!! Winner, proper sausages aswell, will be back for sure .”
“I was involved in a small accident with one of Elegant Wines delivery drivers and have nothing but positive things to say about the company. Both their admin team and driver were professional, honest and did everything they could to ensure that the issue was resolved fairly. Great to see a company that operates with such integrity!”
“The staff are very informative!”

“Attended for a wake and the service at the bar was impeccable. The finger buffet too was excellent and the room divider a brilliant idea. Thank you and well done.”
