“The village community hall has lots of activities for local people”
“Lovely couple hours watching a craft fair and dog show. Lots of lovely pets which I especially went to see. Love animals interacting with each other. Nice friendly event organised by a friend who runs my local village shop.”
“Lovely play area, free of litter and tidy. Apparatus in good safe order for the children to play on. Outside on the grass evidence of dog fouling, which was a shame and spoiled the play for the children, community centre closed no toilet access.”
“Only used the community centre as a base for a changing room for a local TLI Cycle race. Very clean and tidy with plenty of space. The parking is a little restricted for larger events but there seems to be plenty of parking nearby.”
“We use the big hall for Ceilidh Dance Sessions. Lovely floor, lots of dancing and laughter. Also lots of parking.”
“Very large shop with everything and anything. Well worth a visit . Good garden shop area as well .”
“It was an amazing place for a swim. Totally beautiful, I loved it. It was nice not to be time limited in the water, although at this time of year I can’t stay in for such a long time.”
“Everything you need for anything creative and more!! Very helpful staff too”
“Taken our 2 year old twice for the Halloween event which he absolutely loved and couldn’t of been more value for money with what you get to see/do on the day even on both occasions there was different animals and different characters to see , also the amount of effort that goes into making the kids days and going above and beyond is unbelievable. Would highly recommend”
“Vet nice place and stocked well great to have a drink and a sit down with something to eat as well. As bridge mere has a lot of other shops as well as platns to view it's well worth the full day out. There is a small kids area as well to keep them happy. Plenty of parking g and under the roof things to do and see so we enjoyed it . Prices were reasonable I. The cafe”
“Visited here for a spa day to celebrate my birthday. The spa is very small so we only booked for a 4 hour session, worrying we might get bored. However, the time absolutely flew by and we wished we had longer! We had the mill wheel back massage, which was excellent. We also booked in for afternoon tea, which was delicious and very generous portions. Would definitely recommend.”
“We had the fantastic opportunity to perform our LED shows at the Telford International Centre, and it was truly a brilliant experience. The venue is outstanding – spacious, modern, and professionally managed. The atmosphere was energetic and inspiring, and everything ran seamlessly from start to finish. We felt warmly welcomed and fully supported by the on-site team. It’s an ideal location for high-quality events, and we would be absolutely thrilled to return. A heartfelt thank you to everyone at the TIC – we’re looking forward to coming back soon!✨ THE BLACKOUTS”
“Great local spot! Curborough Community Centre has a really welcoming vibe and runs loads of different events for all ages. I’ve been to a few fitness classes and a local market there—always well-organised and friendly. The staff are helpful and the facilities are decent too. It's nice having a proper community hub that actually feels like it brings people together. Definitely recommend checking it out if you live nearby.”
“What a lovely venue!! Lots of parking, very clean, the main hall was a really lovely venue!”
“A fantastic little village hall. Went for my Grandsons 1st birthday party. They did the buffet for us which was really good and lots of food and choices. Guy behind the bar was lovely and friendly. Think his name was Kevin. Decent beer selection. I think it would be great for all occasions to celebrate.”
“Absolutely wonderful venue for breakfast so good that the Telford Armed forces breakfast club meet there 1st,3rd and 4th Saturday morning and they know their food. Staff are wonderful and go out of their way to make sure we have everything we need.”
“Only problem is it gets very busy! It's a lovely playground in a beautiful setting. The nearby visitor's center provides refreshments and toilet facilities.”
“Hiring this venue for our Preloved sales has been brilliant. The staff are friendly and courteous and it's so great that we get to put on our tabletop sale in such a lovely venue with a true community focus.”
“Clean tidy venue with good parking”
“What a fantastic venue in a stunning setting in the middle of the countryside, it has everything you need. Perfect for large family gatherings or getting together as friends. Couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you!”
“Really nice soft play, my son had a great time. But special mention to the two women who were working when we visited - my son has a peanut allergy (which can make it really tricky to eat when we're out, and I can feel quite anxious). The manager got me the food packages so that I could check the ingredients and made me feel so at ease. The other woman working made me feel so much better when I was apologising for being a pain. I felt really understood and comfortable. They were just great. Thank you!”
“Good place. Serene environment.”
“Had a great time, David and (couldn’t get her name) the woman on the ticket counter were so welcoming, friendly and informative. Will definitely be back!”
“What a fantastic place! We've passed this a few times over the last couple months but it's always been closed out of hours. But today I took my 20 months old son for the first time and this is a game changer. Large screens in the cafe for the adults to sit and watch their kids whilst they all get on playing in the huge area decked out with everything a kid could wish for. Blocks, chalk, cars, dinosaurs, books. Very clean, very welcoming, lots of fun and an absolute bargain at £1.50. Highly recommended.”
“We had an excellent night, the venue is first class! It was the perfect place for our disco on the longest night of the year. We could spill out into the outside area and enjoy cooling down out there a while. Thanks for the smooth operation and arrangements, Ollie and to the helpful staff on the night.”
“I organised a baby shower at Granville’s for my sister-in-law and it was perfect. The staff were so accommodating, allowing us to come early to set up the room, help tidy up and even cut/share the cake. The girl who served us was super friendly, helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. If you’re planning a special occasion or event, Granville’s is the place for it. I 100% recommend it to anyone. We all also had afternoon teas which were delicious and very well presented. Again, they were so accommodating, especially for those people in our group who were vegetarian and needed gluten free options. Thank you for making it a day my sister-in-law can remember forever!”
“Lovely space for children and families. It cost me just under £4 for my 16 month old to play in there unlimitedly. There is a designated area for under 3 yearswhich has a slide, giant soft cubes and a ball pit and a massive climbing soft play for the over 3's. Also a go kart track. Little tikes car area. Football/basket ball area and a jumbo Lego space. Loads of tables and chairs for parents and guardians to sit at. They also offer food and drink at a reasonable price. Toilets and baby changing area. Wheelchair friendly. A couple of little added play things such as a Peppa pig car ride. A air hockey table and gum ball machines. They also offer a party area for the little ones birthdays. Big Windows and glass ceiling fills the area with loads of natural lighting. And I was pleased to see a locked gate that the staff had access to open and close via a button between the entrance and play area. Ensuring safety for the little ones. 10/10 would recommend. Ideal place to take the under 3's during school hours as it's quiet. Will be going back. Had a really enjoyable time with my son.”
“Beautiful hotel set in some of the most amazing of scenery. Room was cosy and everything we could need. The staff are friendly and willing to go above and beyond to ensure your stay is exceptional. Even the local were welcoming and offered their wealth of experience and knowledge of the local area and history. The meals are priced well and prepared to an exceptional standard. They were plentiful and tasted wonderful.”
“Local green space, childrens playground, climbing frame, goal posts!”
“My grand daughter was invited to a birthday party and I was reluctant to go as she has level three Autism, I emailed them as she is not able to wear socks due to her sensory issues and they were very swift to reply and very accommodating. While we were there staff were amazing , very understanding and very professional. I can only speak highly about this place and thank you for being inclusive. You get more than 5 stars from us.”
