“I organised a baby shower at Granville’s for my sister-in-law and it was perfect. The staff were so accommodating, allowing us to come early to set up the room, help tidy up and even cut/share the cake. The girl who served us was super friendly, helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. If you’re planning a special occasion or event, Granville’s is the place for it. I 100% recommend it to anyone. We all also had afternoon teas which were delicious and very well presented. Again, they were so accommodating, especially for those people in our group who were vegetarian and needed gluten free options. Thank you for making it a day my sister-in-law can remember forever!”

“We were seated in 1 of the Pullman Carriages, nice and warm on a cold damp day. Seen too nice and politely.Had the specials menu, 2 courses for £13 or 3 courses for £17. Food was served quickly and hot.”

“First visit and wasn’t too sure what to expect but felt welcome as soon as we walked through the door. The interior is unrecognisable from its previous incarnation as a pub - and I believe the log burner that is soon to be added will further increase the warm atmosphere. As for the food - it was stunning! My husband even remarked it was the best he’d ever tasted - and he’s a fussy so and so! I hope the fact that it’s only a few minutes walk from both the station and the town centre will see more people visit as this place truly deserves a place on the good food map. Worth every penny!”

“It's a lovely old building with a rustic feel, not at all too serious. Most floors and stairs are very creaky, not sure that any pair of walls are at a proper angle, but far from a criticism it shows how origonal the place is and adds a lot of charm. All staff I've met have been amazing. Food is great. Will certanly look up this place every time i'm ever in Stafford overnight.”

“We booked the function room upstairs for a hen party and it was perfect! The perfect size for what we needed and the staff were so helpful. We booked grazing boards for the event with the chef and they were absolutely brilliant. Couldn't recommend them more. The drinks from downstairs were delicious and well priced. “We just left a different pub we decided not to eat at due to atmosphere and overpriced. This place I can honestly say the staff and service was the best and most accommodating I have ever witnessed. The kindness and communication skills was slim to none. The team you could see it's an atmosphere here that is very comforting. The food was beautiful. A couple of suggestions was the gravy was very thin and roasts was very lightly cooked taking away from the feeling of a roast potato. We are meatfree and the chef even took his time to talk to us about the gravy content. My 11 year old daughter spoke of how kind the server was and how it was nice to see the staff paying interest in the customers unlike the other establishment we left which she described " just about the money " Thanking you”

“Our first visit here a czhange of location to meet with family, i read some reviews and was happy to change locations. We ordered 6 different meals, we did wait about 40 mins for service to arrive, a bit longer than I would have expected however we weren't disappointed the food arrived hot and was delicious. " i would recomend the pie " but in fairness all my family did enjoyed their choices, the staff were attentive throughout which was pleasing . I asked my family of their thoughts and it was thumbs up to return on our next get together.”

“2025 Works Christmas meal with 39 of us planned well in advance. We were pleasantly impressed with welcoming staff and tasty food, the meals were hot and generous portions. Even with the large group to manage the staff kept smiling while matching meals with the right names. Each course came pretty swiftly so everyone had food at similar timings. A separate server sorted everyone with drinks throughout. On the whole a solid experience. We learnt later the meals weren't a seasonal menu - but a weekly roast which you could have the same on another visit, which i may come back with the family to be fair.
