“Our one-night stay at this B&B was absolutely wonderful! The breakfast was delicious and the cozy atmosphere of the place made it even more enjoyable. We had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend this charming spot.”

“Fabulous family weekend spent in the converted pub. Our second visit. Its been revamped since we last stayed. Downstairs was great, Really well stocked kitchen. Comfy lounge, great bar area. Fantastic family area. Bedrooms, lack a little luxury. No full length mirror. No hooks for towels anywhere. Bathrooms tiny and unpleasant drain smell due to saniflow I suspect. However perfectly usable and great power shower if not compact in size! Loads of cobwebs and spiders in our room so the corners and windows in room and bathroom had definitely been missed. Bed super comfy and bedlinen lovely. There was only one side table by the bed even though room for two and our TV wouldn't work. We spent limited time in the room so it didn't matter. We would 100% return again.”

“I will always recommend Darwin & Bear. Been for bottomless brunch lots of times. No restrictions, other places I've been you've got to have the same cocktail as each other and can't have another one until you've both finished. The food is also amazing! At Darwin & Bear seems a lot more relaxed, good music, good atmosphere.”

“Excellent holiday home. Very comfortable surroundings and the owners are lovely too. Be aware, the track to the farm is unpaved for quite a way, and a standard car may hit the road in places if not taken at a very slow pace?”

“We’ve just arrived home from a fabulous stay here. We arrived after a long trip up from Plymouth to be met with tea and homemade cake by Mike and a room upgrade. The room was lovely and absolutely spotless and the bed was very comfortable.The breakfast next morning was absolutely fantastic and Mike gave us a lift to Nelson’s distillery for the gin school. At the end of the day Mary came and picked us up and we went back to find the log burner in the lounge lit and had a nice few hours resting in the lounge. They had made a reservation for us in the local village pub which was superb. The breakfast this morning was wonderful again and we would highly recommend a stay here. We just need to find more reasons to come up north again! Thanks again for a fantastic weekend.”

“Lovely hotel in a beautiful quiet surroundings, only 10 minutes drive from Alton Towers. Rooms are lovely, breakfast in the morning is delicious, freshly cooked to order. We had a lovely stay there and can recommend this place to anyone :)”

“We have just returned from a weekend in Norfolk with Andy, our driver from Hollinshead. He couldn’t have worked harder to make sure everyone was alright and went over and beyond the call of duty. He was kind and very helpful and made time to talk to us all. His driving skills were excellent. So thank you Andy for your care and we look forward to being with you again.”

“I've met the owner of Angkor Wat on play ground one day and he told me about his restaurant and food he cooks. We decided to try it today and it was delicious! Arrived quickly and a decent amount of food still piping hot! We will definitely order again!”

“Outstanding wonky Tudor moated Manor house. Built between about 1504 to 1610, it has a fascinating history including being requisitioned in 1643 by Parliamentarians during the English Civil War which plunged the Moreton family owners in to crippling debt. Beautiful house and gardens with a good cafe and shop. Well worth a visit.”

“We went to see the Christmas decorations within the main house. There's no extra charge for National Trust Members but you still have to book a time slot. Absolutely fabulous displays with really interesting info boards to explain the function of each room at Christmas, and some very clever themes applied to the decorations. Fun activities for kids, some very enthusiastic and knowledgeable volunteers to support the visit. Well worth a look if this is your kind of thing”

“World class! Quintessential English beauty in the middle of Staffordshire. From the open log fire, the perfect roast dinners washed down with outstanding refreshments this place takes some beating. “Loved this place. Our first time there for just one night to celebrate our anniversary. Will definitely be going back as we both felt so relaxed there. Beautiful settings and garden, great for heading out on a walk. Decor and ambience just lovely. Food was excellent (and not 'messed with' as my husband would say!). Our room, which was upgraded so very kindly and much appreciated, was brilliant. Wonderful views from large double aspect windows. Thank you.”

“An old convent building retaining much of the original character near the center of Leek. Run by Emma and Nick a lovely couple who couldn't do enough for us. The breakfast was delicious and service spot on. Highly recommended and we'll return to the Peak Weavers some time soon”

“Took my 12 & 8 year old here for Begin Off Road, and they had a great time, even the rain didn't dampen their spirits. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. As the group progressed around the park they split into 2 groups based on confidence/ability which really helped my yougest as he wasn't as confident in the woods as his older sister. Thoroughly recommended”
