βThis place really lives up to its name! Had a fantastic breakfast followed by waffles and a milkshake... everything tasted amazing and served by lovely friendly staff. Everything was reasonably priced and affordable. We'll definitely be coming again. Can't wait to try the specials next time! Would highly recommendβ
βOur friends held their Wedding here and it was lovely. The staff were excellent and the food was awesome. we were lucky to have one of the hottest days of the year, so spent most time in the Garden which was also beautiful. Great day and what a fantastic wedding cake!β
βLovely place to eat and the food is fantastic and reasonably priced. I had fish and chips this time because it looked so good when a friend had it last time - I wasn't disappointed. Fish was fresh, batter was crisp and perfect and the portion was massive! Last time I had Scotch egg starter - the best I have ever tasted. Will keep this pub on my list for sure!β
βVery nice and friendly warm welcome. Fantastic food and service, excellent value for money. Definitely visit again.β
βJust been here for a meal with the wife. We always try to eat at a new place every week. We both had the vegetarian wellington. Genuinely one of the best meals I have ever had. Food was full of flavour, hats off to the chiefs. The place is very quiet with very nice decor and I already canβt wait to go back.β
βFirst time since it re-opened and wow! Food was amazing and the Gluten free fish and chips was the best! Nice atmosphere, really attentive staff and an overall nice experience. We will be coming back.β
βWow wow wow . Third visit to this place . Great staff food is amazing and the place looks amazing . Feels like we are eating in a 5 β restaurant. Keep up the great work .β
βReally lovely food and great service. We had the set menu and couldn't fault it. We had attentive service and everyone was incredibly polite and friendly. We will absolutely be recommending Red House to friends and family as well as returning soon. Thank you to the whole team!β
βExtremely dog-friendly pub with extremely friendly staff and locals. Our pooch was offered a huge water bowl, many biscuity treats and tons of fuss. It makes a difference when you enter a pub and dogs are allowed in every area with no restrictions. The bonus was that the food was top notch! Due to it being December when we visited, you did have to pre-order prior to arrival as to whether you wanted to order from their Christmas menu or their usual menu. A fairly full pub meant that we did have to wait 30 minutes for our starters but 15% was deducted from the final bill because of this and the cosy surroundings meant that we were comfortable waiting.β
βLovely welcoming pub on our visit to Whitchurch. Friendly ladies served us and even advised where to go the next day to watch The Lions Test! Good beer in a comfortable environment. Thank you! βΊοΈβ
βWe took the children to Alton Towers this half term and we wanted to stay in a nice place for the night. I am telling you it doesnβt disappoint ! The rooms, the food the staff is 5 stars! A gem of the area! Love love loveβ
βItβs about time I let you know our secret place to go, weβve kept it to ourselves for a while as we love being able to last minute book, but that no longer seems fairβ¦ This local pub is an absolute find, the beer is great, the Sunday roast is exceptional and the staff are so welcoming and friendly. If you are looking for a place to go and have stumbled across this beautiful pub, look no further you have found your place.β
βFabulous location a stones throw from the golf course and cricket ground. Really close to Newcastle and not a million miles from attractions like Waterworld or Alton Towers. The main draw though is the strawberry picking nearby. You cant escape the rural location when the 12 and 13 year old tractor boys walk around. The food though and the decor are first class. Whilst sitting waiting we watched 10 or 12 different meals come out and we could have ate every single one. A big recommendation from me.β
βVickie was an amazing server, super friendly and kind. Food was perfect and so was the atmosphere xox 11/10 10000% recommend and will be backβ
βLovely, cozy, traditional pub / restaurant, with lovely decor, great, friendly, service, and delicious food. Overall really enjoyable experience taking my elderly mother out (in her wheelchair ... which I was quite dreading, but didn't need to because the Fox & Hounds was 'wheelchair friendly' and (with the help of the lovely staff) the experience was totally stress-free!). So a really special time spent with my mother, who enjoyed her meal immensely! Thank you to all staff at The Fox & Hounds. Totally recommend this pub / restaurant to anyone. And hope to be back there sometime soon myself too!β
βFabulous meal, the best food I've tasted for a long time. Could not fault anything! So much choice, so in the end went for the shallots with ham, the Roast lamb as a main, which just fell off the bone, so tender. And if you fancy a pudding but don't want to be overfaced, go for the small dessert and hot drink. Would definitely go again and recommend.β
βI visited Top of The Hill chippy today and wow what a great meal. Excellent quality, very tasty and served by great friendly staff. The staff were so welcoming and I will definitely be using this chippy again.β
βBest Sunday dinner we have had in a long time! Me and my partner go to lots of places for Sunday dinner and The Queenβs Head tops the lot! Large sizes and the cheesy leeks/ cauliflower cheese was incredible. Staff were really attentive and looked after us throughout our stay. We shall be back and will recommend to friends and family.β
βDelightful Pet Friendly pub with great views of the Cheshire plains Warm friendly atmosphere Dog treats and dog menu available at the bar. And the food is excellent The staff are really nice and welcoming Will definitely be returningβ
βVery delicious, authentic Thai food set in a beautiful pub-like setting (if you're looking for pub food, that would be at the Talbot pub next door). The food appealed to both first timers and fans of Thai food. Service was exceptional, and they were dog-friendly. Couldn't have asked for a better dining experience.β
βWe came across this pub after a day an Alton Towers, when we arrived we was greeted with lovely staff and atmosphere. Ordered some drinks and decided to stay for food. Ordered steak which was cooked to perfection. And a pork schnitzel which was full of flavour. Everything came out piping hot. Ordered 2 sausages for my daughter who doesnβt like peas and chips and they reduced the price for this reason. Lovely wine too. Couldnβt recommend this place anymore. Was our first visit and definitely wonβt be our last!β
βHad a party for a retirement celebration. There were 14 of us and we complicated things with last minute changes to numbers due to sickness. Staff couldnβt do enough and everything went very well and smoothly. They re-set the table and made space for 2 prams for our newborn babies. Nathan was our allocated waiter and took the time to go over the changes to the pre orders, last minute changes and allergies to ensure they were all correct. Great food and service. Lovely atmosphere too. A wonderful afternoon.β
βNot been here in years & went for an anniversary meal after a disappointing holiday away. Main menu a little expensive but 2 for Β£20 offer makes it affordable. Food was outstanding. Hot, fresh & plenty of it - they do not cut portion size for offers like some other places! Service excellent, attentive but not overbearing & no pressure to leave once meal complete. Would highly recommend & my only complaint is about the booking system, which requires card details to book-no problem with this alone but details are held by third party for 24 months which is totally unnecessary & puts our data at risk so would not book in advance & would need to take our chances on the day, as we did today. Will definitely return though, the food is fantastic.β
βThe food was good and plentiful, the staff helpful even though they were busy. Had a bit of a wait due to the amount of people there, but I didn't mind as I wasn't in a rush. The only reason gave 3 *for atmosphere was the large party and kids, it was a little noisy but they left and the volume went down. We then sat outside in the sun to finish our drinks with a cracking view. But a great place to have food and have some meal deals.β
βThis was my second time here. I really enjoyed it. The decor is industrial with a red brick vaulted ceiling. It looked lovely with the Christmas decorations up. The food is really good. I had a goat's cheese, walnut and pear sandwich on seeded brown bread with coleslaw and fries as extras (shared). Excellent sized portions - and the fries were exceptional!! Very crispy outside, soft inside and very hot. The only negatives are inadequate parking at busy times and the noise level in the restaurant. There are no soft furnishings which makes for a very loud atmosphere. Screeching Christmas partygoers didn't help. I will go back, but not in the weeks leading up to Christmas.β
βI recently dined at Deadwood Smoke Restaurant and had an incredible experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm, rustic, and inviting β the perfect setting for a relaxing meal. The ambiance really added to the overall experience, with cozy lighting and a laid-back vibe that made it easy to settle in and enjoy the evening. Now onto the food β absolutely amazing! The menu offers a great selection, but the standout for me was definitely the steak. Cooked to perfection, it was tender, juicy, and full of that rich, smoky flavor youβd expect from a place that takes its grilling seriously. You could really taste the quality of the meat and the care put into its preparation. The service was also top-notch. The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations and checking in just the right amount. Whether youβre a fan of barbecue, a steak lover, or just someone looking for a great place to enjoy a hearty meal with excellent ambiance, Deadwood Smoke Restaurant is a must-visit. Iβm already looking forward to going back and trying more from their menu. Highly recommended!β
βEnjoyed a lovely meal with my husband and two friends. Great choices available on the menu, tasty food and excellent friendly service. Our first visit and we'll definitely be back. NB The upcoming festive menu looks great.β
βFabulous country pub! We just spent a night here in our motorhome and would highly recommend the place. Food was excellent, atmosphere was vibrant, and the staff were polite and helpful. There's something for everyone here, family and dog friendly. Large car park, outside toilets for motorhome stopovers, and lots of space for vans, motorhomes, campers etc. Thank you for a great evening.β
βWe come here every week. Staff are lovely and so dog friendly. Stone has alot if competition on where you can go but we still choose Bear!β
βNo parking onsite but there is a car park in the pub next door and a large car park 30 seconds down the road, waited around 5 mins for someone to get our reservation and seat us( this was a Saturday night and busy), after we were seated the service was excellent, lots of drinks to chose from especially whiskey and whiskey flights. The food was too good for words perfectly smoked and seasoned tasted amazing I would highly recommend. Portion sizes were decent too.β
