“Always a good spot to enjoy the Sunday sport, have a burger and a couple of beers.”
“Had a lovely meal here after the renovation. Food was very nice, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Reasonably priced given the high quality. The Coterie has a really nice atmosphere and is perfect for either a romantically or indeed a group. Some slight negatives just to give some feedback to make it 5 stars - we were there on a very hot day and the beer garden was full, I think this impacted on the staffs ability to cope with restaurant customers, there was an unusually long period just waiting for drinks to arrive. With foresight the hotel could’ve maybe had some more staff on when they know it’s likely to be really busy. Also, I wasn’t given a steak knife with my venison, it just was difficult to cut with a blunt dinner knife.”
“Came today for a late lunch, completely forgetting its fathers day and they managed to squeeze us in amongst the bookings. Staff were really lovely and you could tell they were swept off their feet but it didn't change how you were treated. Everyone was really nice and attentive and very friendly. Food was amazing, burnt my tongue which is my own fault but I couldn't help it as it was all so delicious! Obviously food came out piping hot, and cooked to perfection. Thoroughly reccomend!”
“Made welcome . They had McEwans export on tap at a very reasonable price. Loved all the paintings of customers in the bar I will have to try their menu one day. Definitely go back for another visit. Harry”
“Very friendly and helpful staff. Great atmosphere and decor. Food was tasty good selection of things on the menu.”
“Chaophraya has become our go-to Thai restaurant, we absolutely love the Birmingham location, so when my friend turned 40, we decided to celebrate at the Aberdeen location. And honestly, it didn’t disappoint! From the booking to the actual evening, everything was smooth. Oil, the manager, was so kind and professional throughout. Jessica W, our server, was lovely and made sure the night ran perfectly. We pre-ordered from the set menu so we could try a bit of everything...the food was fresh, flavourful, and absolutely delicious. The drinks and dessert were great too. They even surprised us with a few bottles of chardonnay and cake for the birthday girl, which was such a thoughtful touch. 10/10 would recommend Chaophraya if you're after a tasty, feel-good meal in a beautiful setting. Thank youuuuuuu ☺️☺️”
“In Dyce, at the Spider's Web we dine, A culinary experience truly divine. Breaded brie, a delight to the core, Oozing cheesy goodness, I adore. Tomato relish, just the right touch, Balancing acidity, it meant so much. Next, the Steak pie, a hearty treat, Tender beef and gravy, oh so sweet. Home made pastry, a preference well met, Chips crispy and hot, a perfect duet. Seasonal veg, a colorful array, Enhancing our meal in every way. A pint of Punk IPA, well-kept and cool, To wash it all down, the perfect tool. Attentive staff, friendly and bright, Made my dining experience pure delight. In Dyce's Spider's Web, I found, A culinary gem, where joys abound. A meal to savor, in every way, I'll return for more another day”
“An unassuming place, which I like, a bit of a pub style. That being said, excellent cocktails and food. Some of the best I've had in Aberdeen. Good deals as well, like their midweek Margarita club at £7. And their Sunday roast, 2 + a bottle of red for £45, is a solid value. The staff is helpful with suggestions and lovely. Visiting from Texas, the Scottish mussels were great as well as the lentil soup and the garlic mushroom creme fresh on sourdough. Only caveat is that the kitchen closes at 9pm. But that's pretty normal for the area. Also, great music and atmosphere. Most people that came in were chatty and enjoying their time.”
“Nothing to complain except that the next table was a bit too loud but thank god they left earlier. ;) Reasonably priced quality pub grub. Nice deco and attentive service.”
“Enjoyed a couple of pints of Abbot Ale here. Nice friendly and comfortable pub!”
“My wife and myself hadn’t been in the Houff for several years due to working away we went in last night 19/09/2025 and it was the same great staff great food now we are back in town we will be a regular. Keep up the great work. Danny and Angie”
“We stayed for a weekend. Comfortable bed, very friendly service and a nice little pub with good food. Wonderful surroundings .”
“It's nice, rare that you can get two drinks for less than 10£ these days in Aberdeen. Had something for everyone if you know the right time of day/week to go.”
“Had a boozy brunch. It was great, food was good and with a drinks included it's great value.”
“A lady fell off her chair and the lady behind the bar sat on the floor with her caring for her and making sure she was alright for ages. Was massively impressed by their care for their guest, what lovely people. I think this is a kind bar with warm lovely people.”
“Superb meal. Probably the best burger I've ever had, and a phenomenal range of beers, with abv ranging from 0.5% to an eye-popping 14.5%. My wife went for a selection of small plates and was equally impressed. The night we were in there was a DJ playing some great vinyl at a very conversation-friendly level. Staff were really chilled (in a good way) and genuinely friendly. The place feels like a real labour of love and hopefully it prospers for many years to come. If you appreciate good beer and/or soul food then we'd highly recommend it.”
“Friendly, local bar in inverurie. Great for a pint or whatever your tipple! Great bar staff and plenty on offer with numerous dart boards and pool tables. Go on a Saturday afternoon if you fancy a darts challenge. Very welcoming place to everybody”
“Nice social club recently refurbished. Friendly staff and good events, both in their main hall and bar area.”
“Rory & Ali delivered a brilliant experience from start to finish of our visit”
“The absolute hub of the community, never ever had a bad night here! The staff accommodate for kids, always go above and beyond for the local community, their food is glorious and multicultural thanks to their amazing chef! Home from home!”
“Great for a night out and Great for a few drinks before going to the Teca”
“Very lovely place to go to. The new owners have really brought the dead bar back to life. It's fun looks amazing and the staff is super friendly (not the pretending as a lot do) always have my dog with me.”
“DJ'd here for the first time last month. Friendly staff and with the bar next to the dance floor, helped keep the party flowing. Check out videos from my weddings at this venue and others on my instagram.”
“Didn't have a room. Attended a function in the attached building. Strange set up being cash only for drinks. Bar was limited. Staff still learning ropes, but friendly enough. Food served looked very good although didn't have any as wasn't hungry.”
“The room could be done with a bigger telly... however the staff were amazing, couldn't do enough for you, especially Charlie and Ella, they made our stay feel very comfortable, a home away from home. Thanks to all the staff.”
“Absolutely perfect sunday lunch. Good sized portions everything cooked and seasoned perfectly. Tasty creme brule for pudding and tasty coffee to finish. Highly recommend, we will be back. Maybe for afternoon tea soon.”

“Stayed for 1 night as we took a drive along the coast Room was very clean and the mini bar was stocked. Comfy beds and nice bathroom. We had our wiener dog with us so he was given some water and attention from the friendly staff, we even stuck his bed under the table. Good to see some old school locals having a wee pint and chit chat at the bar, rarely get to see this now without folk staring at their phones all night. Food at the bar was superb, haggis neeps and tatties lovely, also mac n cheese and other bits and bobs. Great big car park Overall a great hotel which is well kept and not far from the beach etc Only point to add would be the room doors bang quite hard and you can hear every single one each time they close, I will bring my ear plugs on my next visit.”
“Love this pub. Great old school vibe and good Scottish beers on tap. Would recommend a pint or three when visiting Newmachar.”
“We had good portions shared just before closure time, better than in other places”
