“Excellent customer service from Ryan Smyth in clothes collection 25/4/25. It must have been a difficult day for this young man, as the computer system, required for clothes collection, had been suspended due to a recent cyber attack. I added to his troubles, as I was using a new phone and hadn't yet downloaded my Gmail or M&S apps. I'd arrived without my order number. He was very patient - offering tech advice etc. After finding my order no. and searching for the item in store - I was horrified to remember that the item was going to take an unusual 2 weeks to arrive and wouldn't be in store for another week. What an idiot I was. Poor Ryan. I had wasted ten minutes of his already busy day. Yet, he was still pleasant and customer focused. There was no sign of annoyance. This guy is perfect in a customer service role. You can't teach it. It's a natural talent. Well done Ryan. Ten out of ten.”

“We purchased a ‘little tikes’ Cozy Coupe, for our 2 year old grandson, at the weekend. I started to put the little car together on Sunday, and as the instruction leaflet said that the approx assembly time was 50 minutes, I thought no problem !! Nearly 3 hours later, I was still struggling with it, with bits not fitting properly ‘for me’. I took the half built car, the numerous parts & the box that everything came in, back to the Smyths store the following day, thinking that my purchase may have been faulty. A very friendly staff member at the tills contacted one of his colleagues (Louis) to come to my rescue. Louis appeared & straight away started to put the little car together without any questions & had my grandson’s new wee pressie up & running within 30 minutes !! Louis did this without any fuss. He was a lovely, friendly fellow. Brilliant service & a life saver for me.”

“Really clean store, lots of options and fresh dates. People say M&S can be expensive to do a grocery shop but the deals and offers we availed of had our dinners sorted for the week on a £50 gift card. Only thing I would say was the amount of staff in the aisles was really overwhelming at times. There was 4 staff members in the crisp aisle with us and it's not a long aisle.”

“I bought a cot mattress from Smyth's Forestside a few weeks ago, unfortunately when I brought it home it was not true to size and left a dangerous gap of about 6cm between the cot and mattress. I contacted Smyths customer service over the phone and they sent me a form to fill in with details of the incident and photos of the gap measurement. Smyths customer service was excellent and fully investigated the matter and contacted Smyths in Forestside on my behalf who then provided me with a replacement mattress if my choice. When I returned the faulty one, the staff in Forestside were already fully aware of the situation and provided excellent customer care. Monica in the Nursery section of Smyths was very friendly and helpful. I am delighted with the replacement mattress. Thank you for all the help, my 1 year old is getting a great night's sleep thanks to all at Smyths.”

“Took my son to Next at Abbeycentre to buy a suit for a day at the races. Great selection of styles. Good fitting rooms, spacious shop. Best of all was the service from a lady named Lyndsay. Despite being very busy, nothing was too much trouble for her as she advised my son on style, fit and even contacted another branch when his size wasn’t in stock. Highly recommended.”

“Brilliant company and exceptional customer service! I ordered the Babylo Panorama XTi car seat base. The only thing with the base is that it only fits that particular seat. Johnston Prams emailed me before dispatch to confirm I had ordered the correct one and explained that only that seat will fit in that base. Once I had confirmed we have the correct seat, the base was here within a matter of days! Excellent, thank you so much! Will be recommending you in the future!”

“I am so upset. Today I went to Coach to buy a handbag for £259. I gave the staff £300, then she counted it over and over again to see if it was fake. After going through all the steps, she gave me back 75p. I am just a tourist here. My English is not good so I had to ask the interpreter to talk to her. Taking advantage of the customer not knowing English, she stole £40 from me. I was also negligent when I got the change back and didn't check it again until I got home and checked the bill. I need to be resolved! I can't believe this nonsense happened at a famous brand. And I don't know how many people have been like this. If possible, please check the camera again today at 15:55, 27/07/25. It's not the airline's fault, it's the staff who blatantly took advantage of tourists who didn't know the language. This is the branded bag I bought for my own birthday. With the first money I earned, I feel very sad to meet such an employee! I really hope the manager can solve my problem.”
