“We had a fantastic night here for our party/family of 8 for our 40th Anniversary the staff were excellent and made sure everything went smoothly as my daughter had been over prior to our visit with a few extra requests. Fab family 3 course meal.”

“I haven't been in eight south for some time, and I can't remember why that was so, because after having a lovely family dinner for 5 last Saturday, I will certainly be back again soon. Great food, excellent service, and more than satisfactory prices made our visit an absolute pleasure. Yes Saturday afternoon is quieter than busy times like Friday or Saturday evening, but from my visit last week, I cannot recommend eight south any more highly.”

“Great place, tasty food. Our server was the absolute best! Very friendly and helpful and we never had to wait long. We came in on a Friday evening, music was sort of loud, which we would have expected. However, another table asked for the music to be pumped up even further, and at that point we were unable to hold a conversation. We wanted desert originally but then decided to leave as it was a bit too much. Would have easily been 5 stars otherwise - definitely recommend!”

“Great food at a reasonable price, the burger and chicken burger were both massive and really well prepared. Our server was very efficient and friendly. The place is very spacious and has a pool table and gaming machines. They also have a large screen for football and sports for when events are showing. Good coffee also”

“Absolutely some of the best food we've ever eaten! My boyfriend and I came for a meal this evening and were greeted with a lovely warm welcome from Ethan who served both our drinks and food. The service was 10/10, Ethan was so polite and friendly. We had squid and mac and cheese to start (both absolutely beautiful), followed by chicken and chorizo cajun pasta, and a ribeye steak. The steak was cooked to PERFECTION, it literally melted in your mouth, the best steak we've ever had for sure! We'll 100% be back if we're ever in Bangor again, 10/10 for everything, no faults whatsoever! Xx”

The staff were welcoming and friendly, the food utterly delicious, the best food I've eaten in the four days we had been away by far. “We come here regularly for food and cocktails I must say it is always a 10/10 but tonight we didn’t know how to feel by the fancy writing on the valentines menu and it was just the definition of don’t judge a book by its cover it was honestly the nicest food ever. “My sister and I popped into 'The National' for a late breakfast before heading to Belfast Castle. We very much enjoyed our refreshing strawberry lemonades and the bunch baps we had were delicious. The server we had was friendly and efficient and they didn't mind when we wanted to move to the Garden as it was such a sunny day. The inside is decorated well, but the garden was lovely to sit in and enjoy our food. I would definitely come back as I very much enjoyed my time there. Might pop in later for a drink to see what it's like in the evening.”

“My sister-in-law and I treated our 11 year old niece to a birthday lunch followed by a spa treatment and we had a wonderful meal. The portions were perfectly sized and the food delicious. The kids menu was great with our niece opting for the sausage and mash. The staff were friendly and helpful and, although we didn’t have one with us, it was wonderful to see dogs were allowed into the bar. Will definitely be back!”

“Came across this place looking for a nice simple place for dinner. The reviews looked good so we gave it a try. We weren’t disappointed. Its appearance is nothing special but the food was great! Had the fish and chips along with a salad and have to say it was probably one of the best pieces of fish I’ve had. Super crispy batter on the outside and a juicy piece of haddock inside. The young lady that served us was lovely and we enjoyed talking with her.”

“Every time I come here it’s always a fantastic experience. The staff are friendly & the cocktails are well made. Outdoor decor is perfect for summer and on Sunday there as it was a hot day they put a BBQ on and had a bouncy castle for the children. Highly recommend the Bellevue!”
