“I go every Friday on way to my daughters, I've tried multiple chippies in the area and found this one was the best! Great food and very generous portions. Staff are always friendly, quick service. Highly recommended.”

“On arrival were greeted by the reception who checked all our details, & then gave us clear instructions on how to get to our room. During the check in process we were also told where breakfast would be served in the morning & times. The room was spotless & quiet. We were on the 6th floor, absolutely no problems with getting a lift to the room or ground floor. The only negative thing is that we arrived by train at Birmingham Grand Central (New Street Station) & if you have suitcases then it's a bit of a trek & would be better get a cab than walk. As we only had hand luggage then this was not a problem & took us no more than 8 minites. If you got a cab then you would be there in 3 minutes. Good location & close to China Town. Would definitely stop here again.”

“I am being here every week with my friends. This have a really good environment compared to any other bars or arcades i have been to. The service they provide is soo good. A special mention to zach, jules, Rhys and owen who were really friendly and they are a big reason for us to comeback every week to have a pint and chill with the pool table. The prices are also better as they have student discounts which is so appreciated.”

“This is the second time I've stayed here and both times it was been really good. Staff are very friendly, rooms are clean and quiet at night. Breakfast was good too. There was some noise outside the hotel but that's to be expected in the city centre.”

“This is the best chippy around, only slight criticism is that fish portions a bit on the small size for me, better to charge a bit more in my opinion and get a decent portion. The kebabs are excellent”

The shop looks like a normal kebab shop, so I wasn't expecting much, but the burgers were fresh, tasty and the ingredients were good quality, the nachos were pretty good and the Cajun fries were hot and well seasoned. I have to look hard to see any bad things about Uncle Sam's, even the female delivery driver was attractive. Sam, you are doing a great job”

“Cristina was amazing and helped us choose our starters which were to die for! She was so sweet and not overly invasive but always made sure we were seen too. We love this place as it’s got such a friendly relaxed vibe with top quality food and service but Cristina went above and beyond for us. It was our 10 year anniversary and I even won a bottomless meal on a scratch gifted !”

“We popped in of an afternoon on a sunday for a cob and a pint! Atmosphere great and lovely people! Just to note cobs are cash only so we had to rummage around the car for change! Great local! Also great with kids i have a 4 year old and a 4 month old and couple of the locals ended up giving my eldest a £1 for the sweet machine as we had used all our change for cobs!! Very sweet and lovely people! 1000% recommended!”

“Tamworth’s best kept secret Omar Ghalwash’s - Tomahawk steak (approx 1.2kg) to share between 2 people with the most incredible triple cooked chips with the heavenlyist side salad you’ll ever taste all served with chimchurri sauce and a peppercorn sauce at a price that will astonish you in a good way - honestly food heaven I can’t give it 10 out of 10 it has to be way higher than that Fox Inn Dosthill - just trust me xx”

“Found this place whilst at the nearby NT Baddesley Clinton and wanting some lunch with the family. The setting sounded nice but the canal. It didn’t fail to I pressure. Very dog friendly too which was nice to see (although we hadn’t got our dogs with us at the time). Met at the door by friendly staff and shown to table. Although the pub was fairly busy they accommodated us fine. The food was was brilliant (off the lighter bites menu) It’s a beautiful setting and felt a nicely run pub. The gardens are lovely too. There are a number of sheds you can sit in to with dog beds. A good find. Reasonably priced too. Classy and casual interior. Suited us all just fine. Well done Tom O’ The Wood.”

“First visit to the venue. Saw Maruja. A great gig, lovely venue with friendly staff, reasonably priced drinks & a fantastic atmosphere. Arrived early, parked in a nearby side street & enjoyed a fab meal at Bayt Al-Yemeni (highly recommended) beforehand. All in all a great night. Look forward to returning soon.”

“Amazing customer service. My friend was unwell in the ladies toilet and the staff were absolutely wonderful and took no chances. They checked she was safe and that she knew us before letting her come out of the toilet and they were so kind once she was out. Special thanks to Olly for being amazing !”
