“We went for winter wonderland and weren't disappointed. It was absolutely brilliant and we'd definitely come again, there's something for everyone! From snow play to a pantomime and Christmas music, it put us into the festive spirit, the decorations outside were amazing too! We were gifted our tickets via Acorns Children's Hospice and the disabled access was amazing too!”

“Came across this hidden gem whilst in Tamworth the other day. The music and decor was so cool and individual. The manager was very welcoming and took the time to have a chat and recommend some of there delicious cocktails. The music really set a very cool atmosphere. Would definitely recommend. Will be returning.”

“We haven't been here for quite some time but were SO pleased that there has been no decline in food, quality or service! Afternoon Tea is a real favourite of ours and we were not disappointed! Had a lovely selection of finger sandwiches, had to box some up so we had room for cake(s). The cakes can make or break an afternoon, we are cake based lifeforms, and my goodness we weren't disappointed. The most delicious huge piece of Pistachio & Rose Sponge, a huge Scone/Cream/Jam and a generous squidgy Chocolate Brownie. My husband managed Sponge & Scone but I was defeated at Sponge, a lightweight. Giving us another box to take home to enjoy at teatime tomorrow. Couldn't have chosen a nicer place to celebrate our anniversary and my first day out since surgery. Left feeling comfortably stuffed and in agreement we will be back much sooner next time.”

The highlight of our visit was the outstanding service we received from Si, who really went out of his way to make sure we were looked after. He was friendly, attentive, and made the whole evening feel relaxed and enjoyable. The food was excellent and served quickly. Thanks again!”

“Good food at incredible prices; not small portions either. Two lunch time meals for £13.49! Monday to friday. That's right two! Public house - typical local - on one side of the horse shoe bar and eating area around the other side : best of both worlds. Good size beer garden.”

“We use Food For thought for our Business Lunches.... They offer a tasty mix of Veg and Meat sandwiches incl Chicken & Stuffing, Beef, Egg salad and cheese, hot and cold sides such as Prawn Tempura, Scottish Eggs and Jalepeno Dippers, along with Fruit and Juice. Always untime, always tasty, very recommended! :)”

“An excellent dining experience was had by all. Pleasant and helpful staff ...and a very good range of draught lagers and spirits and an excellent selection of Classic bar food and Indian! The Chicken Karahi , Garlic Naan and Rice was first class as well as the Shish Kebabs... Kids had Fish fingers and chips, after they were done with the freely available colouring crayons and activities. We got our sanity back for the hour and all in all well worth the visit ...and what's more if you're frightened of missing the football then fear not because there are TVs high up for you to keep an eye on the game .”

“Love this pub went here with my cousin before he died some nice memories going to pubs on the canals with him beer was nice didn't try food not sure if they do food I could be wrong if they do I'm sure the food would be delicious lovely lovely women behind the bar to friendly nice to talk to you have to check this place out”

“In the franchise Mrs Kyndley is just a woman who lives next to Thomas' branchline, She dosen't own a tea room, however I guess she has a refreshment stall in the Great Race (a film that came out a while after)”

“We had an iced latte and a kid’s milkshake. Drinks were refreshing with great quantities per serving and service was prompt. Only discrepancy is that Google maps closing time was 6pm, however, I found out the hard way that the shop actually closes at 5pm. Will definitely come back. ☺️”

“What an improvement and cleaner too, the only change I can see is a new possible manager called Lewis. To whom seems to have all the staff doing jobs that I have never seen them attempt to do before, as well as himself sweeping the floors and behind counters, he was none stop. What a refreshing change, and keep up the good work Lewis as changes are visible even the small ones. WELL DONE”

“Booked this place on a whim and wasnt even planning on eating but the smell was too nice to resist. Ordered a mixed grill and I have to day it's one of the best I've ever had. Staff were super friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was really warm and welcoming. I cant wait to go again.”

“I went to see a movie and noticed this outlet and ordered a large capuccino and was served by Brandon (I hope that is right). Not only was the coffe one of the best I have had but also the service was second to none with this chatty Barista. The place was clean and tidy and there was a fair selection of cakes and pasteries. You have to note though anyone with a Costa app can get the points for the coffee but you cannot redeem your free drink if you have one on the app. The place was busy with a number of people enjoy coffee and treats sat in the lounge area but I could imagine it getting busy but there was two people on when I visited dealing with the customers very well.”

“Had need for a stopover in Tamworth for one night, and this was the cheapest available on booking.com. Decent sized room with ensuite, and every basic need for an overnight (kettle, TV, toiletries etc) There were no meal options at the time, but you're less than 10 minutes walk from the town centre, 5 minutes from a supermarket, and 10 minutes in the other direction from a pub that does good food at good prices (the Riftswood). There is a cafe (the kitchen) that does breakfast within 5 minutes drive. Apparently, some of the dearer rooms even have a jacuzzi bath. Highly recommended, and will certainly stop again if in the area. * It should be noted that at the time we stopped there appeared to be ongoing improvement works, but these did not impact us in any way.”
