Cafe in Tamworth

“I went to see a movie and noticed this outlet and ordered a large capuccino and was served by Brandon (I hope that is right). Not only was the coffe one of the best I have had but also the service was second to none with this chatty Barista. The place was clean and tidy and there was a fair selection of cakes and pasteries. You have to note though anyone with a Costa app can get the points for the coffee but you cannot redeem your free drink if you have one on the app. The place was busy with a number of people enjoy coffee and treats sat in the lounge area but I could imagine it getting busy but there was two people on when I visited dealing with the customers very well.”

“Afternoon beer with the good lady. The place was warm and welcoming. Cheaper beer during the week with a loyalty card offering a free pint once you had 6 stamps on your card. Lovely and warm too during this cold spell”

“Our group of retirees was made very welcome last night (Friday) and we all enjoyed the 6 Derby Brewing Co Real Ales, all of which were in excellent condition. So good we came back at lunchtime today. A friendly and clean pub.”

“We had a good experience at The Penny Black in Tamworth! After an afternoon of shopping, we popped in for a bite to eat and easily found a table and were quickly served at the bar. We enjoyed watching the football game while savoring two rare steaks cooked perfectly, a mixed grill, and three delicious fudge cakes. The food was served promptly and tasted great. I recommend this place for good food and efficient service.”

“We stopped here for a Sunday roast, plenty of parking. On entry, we were greeted by staff, very friendly and said we could pick a table and then order at the bar. Food came quickly and was very nice. Will be back again soon.”

“Had need for a stopover in Tamworth for one night, and this was the cheapest available on booking.com. Decent sized room with ensuite, and every basic need for an overnight (kettle, TV, toiletries etc) There were no meal options at the time, but you're less than 10 minutes walk from the town centre, 5 minutes from a supermarket, and 10 minutes in the other direction from a pub that does good food at good prices (the Riftswood). There is a cafe (the kitchen) that does breakfast within 5 minutes drive. Apparently, some of the dearer rooms even have a jacuzzi bath. Highly recommended, and will certainly stop again if in the area. * It should be noted that at the time we stopped there appeared to be ongoing improvement works, but these did not impact us in any way.”

“We have been here a few times (possibly 8 times) and it has always been great. Th play area is very good, very nice size ( my son is almost 4 and it is very suitable for that age, not really for the kids above age 6), the food is tasty, the standard of cleanliness is also very good. Happy with the visit.”
