“Ordered here Sunday 18th October for the first time. The service was amazing, friendly staff, quick service and the food was delicious. I will definitely visit again when i'm in the area. They also have an exotic range of drinks that are not the usual in the UK.”

“The Dog Inn was recommended by another pub landlord as they were not offering food and the recommendation was on the nose. The food at the Dog Inn is exceptional. We went for a ate afternoon meal on a Friday so there were a number of patrons, however the service was quick and polite. They offer a standard menu as you would expect, with a specials board as well as a pasta of the week and soup of the day. We opted for the latter 2 options as they were Chicken and Chorizo bake and a mixed vegetable soup (which the waitress advised was very nice and the staff we all having it!). Both were absolutely exquisite. The soup was a large portion server with 3 slices of crusty bread and ample butter, which was more than enough for my fiance. Whilst the pasta was equal parts beautifully cooked pasta shells and protein, all loving topped with a thick layer of cheese and server with 3 pieces of homemade crusty garlic bread. All of this (2 meals) and 3 drink between us cost just under £30 total so it it also extremely good value for money. The pub itself is beautifully presented, with ample indoor seating spread across a number of rooms, outdoor seating to the left and rear of the premises, wrap around parking and guest rooms.”

“We visited this cafe yesterday lunch as a big group of 9 people. Staff were very accommodating to such a large group and were lovely and patient towards the children. Food was great and the cafe felt like such a friendly environment. Staff were hardworking yet all had a smile on their faces. Would definitely recommend to anyone coming to Lichfield.”

“Quiet when we went on a Monday afternoon. Lovely beer garden with enough shade to protect customers from the hot sun. Toilet facilities are really nice. Pub gets really busy at weekends and evenings, so be prepared to stand and wait for a while to be served. Excellent Real ale selection. Dog friendly in bar area and beer garden.”

“Came for the first time this evening as a treat before the arrival of our baby in a few weeks time. Portions were generous and food was really tasty! Atmosphere was lovely and relaxed - low lighting and chilled music. Carter was very friendly and welcoming! Food was very reasonably priced! - a wonderful evening and will definitely be returning. “I had an incredible stay at The Belfry, and I can honestly say it exceeded all expectations. From the moment I arrived, the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming or attentive. Everyone was friendly, professional, and genuinely eager to help, which made the whole experience feel special. The food was outstanding — fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. Whether it was breakfast, dinner, or snacks throughout the day, everything was consistently high quality. The gym was well-equipped, spotless, and perfect for keeping on top of my routine while away. The spa was another highlight: relaxing and the ideal place to unwind. The treatments were exceptional, and the atmosphere was calming from start to finish. A special mention has to go to Chloe and Sarah, who were absolutely fantastic. Their professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail made the experience even better. They truly went above and beyond and are a real credit to The Belfry. Overall, I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough — a flawless stay from start to finish. I’ll definitely be returning!”

“Went here with my son for a carvery and I must say it was very flavoursome and I enjoyed it,the food was plentiful for the price.I couldn't eat all mine so I asked for a container to take it home and nothing was to much trouble for the staff.So if you want a nice carvery please do pop down and see them.”

“We have an annual meal here and it couldn’t be a more ideal setting. The food is beautiful and the staff are always accommodating of our ‘loud’ family and theatrics. The French onion soup was the best, but this has been overtaken by the pate this year (2025). Go at Christmas”

“I went here for the first time on Friday and had an absolute blast. The food and drinks were unreal (and generous portions!) and every single staff member was SO friendly. I have a 5 month old puppy so I’m always wary of places that claim to be ‘dog friendly’ but this place was great and there were plenty of other happy dogs having a great time with their owners too. I’ll definitely be back and making my way through both the food menu and drinks menu!”

“The food was absolutely delicious, we came for my partners parents birthdays/retirement dinner. I had the crab arancini and was absolutely blown away, I can confidently say it was the best arancini I’ve ever had. The filet steak was superb, as a chef myself, it was cooked to perfection. Sadly I only snapped two photos of the food I had however, the pizzas are incredibly big and fresh! No complaints from the nine of us dined together. The liquor “safe” has an exquisite range and honestly wish I lived locally as I’d visit weekly!”

“Called ahead first to ask about bringing three of my service users (one learning disabilities and two complex needs). Couldn't be more helpful on the phone. Even suggested we could have a table in the quietest area. Once there, the staff were amazing. Extremely helpful, courteous and couldn't do enough to make sure our people were comfortable and stress free. Took the guys names so the bills didn't get confused and allowed us as much time as we needed at the table. Mitchell and Aaron, you were both brilliant and a credit to the pub. Thankyou both and we will definitely be back soon”

“Hands down my favourite pub to visit. The staff are always so welcoming and polite, especially Daniel! He always goes above and beyond to make sure you’re okay, is always happy to have a chat and makes you feel as though you’re part of the family. Honestly, if all pubs had a Daniel, they’d be one of the best! The pub is really clean, warm and inviting. Love the food here, and have never had any problems with anything I’ve ever ordered and it’s all super yummy and finished to a high standard any time. Can’t wait til my next adventure to the Greenhouse!”

“Me and my wife dropped in for a fry up, we had the light breakfast £12 each and a pot of tea between us. The staff were just lovely and very attentive, they made us feel very welcome and the breakfast was beautiful, especially the sausage (think it was from packington) probably one of the best I've had. We will endeavour to visit again. The decor inside was splendid, you could spend the whole day there.”

“We’ve eaten here loads of time, most recently last night for my daughter’s birthday. The staff are always very good, particularly good last night we thought. The food is reasonably priced and of a good quality. You can get different discounts through their app as well so that’s worth downloading. The drinks are quite expensive, £3.95 for a can of coke, but it’s like that most places these days unfortunately! Will be back again soon.”

“It truly is the Home Of The Carvery, and Shenstone is lucky to have this particular restaurant on its doorstep. Why? Because the staff are so friendly, the food is so well cooked, and following the recent refurbishment the restaurant is warm, cosy and very welcoming. My little girl loves it here, and it’s a great way to get her eating healthily. Ellie and the rest of the crew always make us feel at home. Highly recommend, and it’s not expensive either. Just get the app!!”
