“Wonderfully quiet and relaxing. They have an upstairs area which is even more private but spacious too. Food and coffee is lovely.”
“Can't understand the bad reviews on here .I go every week with my friend and I would rather have a beverage that doesn't go cold after two minutes or while waiting for your food- It stays hot throughout your meal. The staff are lovely and I've never had a bad meal there .”
“Nice decor, friendly and helpful staff, good range of food and drinks including vegetarian and vegan options. Good mix of seating over two floors, outdoor seating too. Nice view over the Victorian market building. Wi-fi access.”
“Awesome food, great service even when busy (at Xmas) and the prices are affordable, we had giant Yorkshire pudding with beef stew and roast beef dinner with mash. (Veg is also available)”
“Very welcome atmosphere with an inviting and friendly staff, I had the Jacket potato, it was honestly very fresh and delicious. You could tell it was oven baked which is a sure sign of quality. The owner is a very pleasant and passionate man, even gave us a mango lassi on the house which was fantastic by the way! 10/10 Absolutely recommend!”
“Perfect place! We had coffee and a grilled chicken wrap. The food is amazing, so fresh and flavourful. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. Such kind, lovely ladies. Great prices and will absolutely be coming back!!”
“A lovely little cafe under Titus Salt's feet with an alpaca statue out front. I had a soup & a tea sat surrounded by plants with a view out to the Aire. There's a toilet and baby change inside as well as an accessible public toilet under the stone stairs outside that is open when the cafe is open.”
“Literally the best matcha in Halifax! Emma and James are amazing xox”

“It all comes down to the cake - and it was excellent. :-D (I liked the quirky Dr Who figures on the counter too.)”
“Came here few months a go and had afternoon tea for my dad's 75th birthday. What a lovely selection of things. Everything was so nice too. Some of the cakes were the best I ever had. Been back once since and had breakfast and again was so nice I certainly will be back again some time. Good service and lovely food.”
“I came all the way from Birmingham to try Mi Chaii . Brother Qasim and Hummaira gave good hospitality and the Butter chicken was outstanding and warm . The donut stack was delicious and warm . I recommend people to order food from here . A big thank you to brother Qasim and Hummaira for there amazing hospitality. I will visit Mi Chaii again for some more lovely food.”
“We went here because they serve food till 10pm at night . We were late having booked earlier due to train delays etc . So by the time our party got there it was after 9pm . We were well received and had a choice of tables as most diners had left by the time we got there. Having a wheelchair to cater for has its difficulties too with space and walkway blocking !! Well we weren’t disappointed that’s for sure . All the meals were cooked to perfection and the drink flowing . Although by the time we got to dessert it was 10:30 pm ! Again it was no trouble and worth waiting for . The place itself seems a bit “rustic” but that may be by choice! Access to most of the building is flat and level and the disabled wc is accessible but you might need a hand with the doors . I can’t comment on what it’s like as a busy place tho . Disabled parking is provided .Entrance doors are not automatic and there are two sets to get in . Restaurant to the left and bar to the right.”
“It was quite busy Sunday morning but still had a great meal, tasty and very reasonable for the portion size. Great service as always from Claire and Julie. Would recommend the all day brunch”
“The food was great! Everyone has to try their new sweet corn with many flavours and pink tea. And the outside grill is delicious.”
