“What a lovely restaurant! Very warm welcome. Good selection for vegetarians. We shared some light bites followed by sharing a Pizza Pesto. The pizza was the most delicious we have eaten in a long while. All washed down with the house red which was very acceptable. We were visitors to Lewes - this restaurant will encourage us to return!”

“Visited the muse cafe as we were heading for our train and just wanted a quick bite, service was exceptional, he was so polite and seemed genuinely happy to be our waiter. We ordered 2 breakfasts with coffee and everything about them was delicious, nothing was burnt it all came out the same temperature and the presentation was perfect. An overall great experience and would highly recommend, I will be visiting again when I am back in the area.”

“We called in for coffee as we were visiting a nearby property that a relative is buying. This is a large pub - plenty of different seating areas. Very friendly helpful staff behind the counter. I would guess that this is an independently owned pub - you don't get service like this in a chain! Very attractive "pub classic" menu. I can't wait for the purchase to go through so that we can all return here for a meal and some drinks. Community pubs like this are increasingly rare. The coffee was good and surprisingly cheap. “Have just returned from enjoying the tastiest breakfast here! We were looking for somewhere do friendly for myself, my parents and my brother and his partner to meet and catch up but we were hoping to bring our 10 month old German Shepherd pup too. They couldn't have been more chilled and accommodating if they tried. Firstly, the staff were so lovely and friendly, super chilled with Bella, bringing her a bowl of water when we arrived and so kind when she wasn't totally aware how much space her puppy butt was taking up. The food was amazing, the smoothies tasted great and when we ordered a sausage for the pup, it was provided in a cute lil cup of her own and helped keep laying down and learning to be calm in public places. I ordered the chorizo eggs (Photo) and I would wholeheartedly recommend. We will absolutely be returning in the near future!”

“Amazing place! We arrived late on a random Wednesday evening with our kids and the staff were so friendly, gave us extras and just generally were awesome lovely people. Nothing bad to say about it as it was very nice I was even recommend a better option from gentleman serving which I enjoyed a lot, even people cooking smiling and enjoying their jobs really nice atmosphere and a very enjoyable experience overall will return another evening, I even had my child and asked to use the restroom outside the front of the premises which they allowed at the time but when entering smelt the food and needed to sit down and try it and so glad I did. I'd been missing out on this little gem! Worth a visit! thank you.”

“Ok. Let’s start saying that I went to this place with very little expectation to find Sicilian street food, contrary wise this place exceeded my expectations. A precious little place in duke street that stand out for all the competitors in the street. I went safe for coffee and cake and it was ever so good that I decided to have an arancino al pistacchio after, and I was literally transported to Sicily with the flavours of the food. At the exit I managed to compliment myself with Davide the owner of the place, which was exquisite. His passion is clearly expressed into the food and the attention to details. I would not hesitate to come back for a coffee and cake, quick or long lunch, an aperitivo or a nice traditional unique Sicilian meal out. Ideal for everyone, from kids to adult and wheelchair friendly with ground floor access and tables. The unpretentiousness of this place makes it ideal for a solo meal as well as a romantic date to impress. Sicilian typical product also available to buy at the counter....not to be missed the “Crema al pistacchio”. In conclusion, this place is a must go either if you are Italian or not, and you will easily spot why is second to none. So far the best “arancini” in Brighton.”

“Shepherd's is quite a small but long shop that offers very reasonable prices and good quality materials. The staff are very helpful and they don't make you look silly if you really don't know how to ask for something. They will help you get the correct measurements and materials. They even have front doors at a good price.”

“Bertie and Belle are brilliant, the concept is a great idea, the lollipop and balloon at the end of the cut too. My little boy is such a fidget and never sits still, but our fab hairdresser still managed to get a really decent lovely cut done, we took off 4 inches and had a style done. She was so very patient and kind to us. We've been twice and travelled 45 mins, which we will continue to do. Thanks!”
