“Love this local gem. Dropped in this evening after a long day of cooking roasts ourself. New menu item was deep fried olives with a tangy dipping sauce. I could have eaten a whole plate. Pizzas fresh and tasty and burrata the perfect accompaniment Harvey our server was friendly and welcoming just adding to a lovely experience as always. Highly recommend”

“Wow! It was raining, so we were looking for a cute place to hide and saw this amazing little restaurant. This was the best choice we’ve made so far on our trip to Brighton. The food is amazing!! The people are also really nice! So happy with this experience, thank you.”

“The Dining Room hosted our 'after ceremony' meal in June 2022 and did a fantastic job. The venue is perfect for an intimate meal with close family, bridesmaids and best men - just what we wanted. We dropped some of our themed decorations off the day before which were all laid out for us when we arrived. The food was delicious and so unique for our special day - they accommodated for all different tastes. They offered a wide selection of drinks and you can also bring your own drinks for a corkage fee which we utilised for the toast. The location was very convenient for us due to our ceremony taking place a few minutes drive away. Our guests loved the surprise of the 'signing chef' after the speeches - a great mix of songs! They even went the extra mile and recorded a video of the 'singing chef' for us to add to our wedding video as we had missed filming it due to enjoying ourselves too much! Very reasonable pricing for a special meal. We hope to come back to celebrate our anniversary here time and time again.”

“Came to Brighton for a day trip. Was recommended this restaurant by a family member who had been before. Nice cosy old-school vibes. It was a sunny, warm summers day, so we sat outside. There was a range of dishes, but we went for the £27 for 2 course summer set menu, as it seemed a good value for money. I ordered raw rock oysters as starter. Got 3 fresh oysters which were fresh and juicy. Came nice and cold, with the mignonette and ponzu dressing. Delicious! Another person on the table ordered salt and pepper calamari and even though portion was small, with 3 large pieces of calamari, the taste was amazing and it was so fresh. The fish and chips were crispy and fish was flaky. Though again, could do with a few more chips. Tartare sauce was great! The mussels marinieres was exceptional. The sauce was extra creamy and goes well with chips. For the price of the set menu, its great value for money! Would highly recommend! There was bread that came to the table with delicious mackerel pate. But you will need to pay for a cover charge for this. Drinks menu was extensive. Staff were very friendly. Highly recommend. Women’s toilet was up some narrow stairs at the top of the building.”

“Went to the bar for a drink and Eddie was just incredible - such attentive service. My friend wanted mulled cider and he went and made it for her anyway! We ordered the boozy hot chocolate, and gave her the rest. He was so kind and made some great adaptations to make our night special. Thank you, Eddie.”

“Almost Decided to visit a reasonably new venue. It was quite quiet the night we visited (friday) The menu is quite short but most were things I would be delighted to eat. We decided to have different courses to spread the experience. The Amuse bouche was a wonderful summer Gazpacho. Starters were squid (mine) and prawns (friend). Both really nice dishes, the squid for me was my meal highlight. Quite liked my lamb rump but personally not a fan of the minestrone veg. My panna cotta was superb. Front of house was really nice, didn't get much contact with chef. It was a lovely meal, great food almost there. Word of caution Steps down to toilets are very steep and not deep, a bit of a challenge for the less mobile. Non alcoholic cocktails were a little weak for my taste.”

“Jess was wonderful. Showed me around a wonderful share house and gave me all the information necessary in a charismatic fashion. I have never been more Certain about moving into a place. She made the house seem warm, friendly and comfortable and she added a positive vibe to an already spectacular home. I have nothing bad to say about Jess at all. 10/10 service!!!”

“A little over 7£ for two pastries. We got almond croissant and a fruit danish, both tasted divine. Theres a layer of what tastes like evaporated milk in the middle of the pastry layers which elevates them to the next level. Very impressed.”

The menu has so much variety, it was hard to choose just one dish. Service was fast, the staff were really welcoming, and best of all, no service charge! “Amazing family run Italian restaurant!! My boyfriend and I happened to stumble across this restaurant this evening and we were extremely impressed- from the service, to the atmosphere, to the food it was 5* all the way through. We were both made very comfortable upon arrival and noticed that our lovely waiter made extra effort to make note of our names and to make sure we were all okay throughout our meal, something I have not received at a bigger restaurant chain. It really did feel like we were treated like we were members of this family! As for the service, it was very quick and the presentation of the food at mamma Mia’s is PHENOMENAL! I had a beautiful sea food risotto which I will whole heartedly say was the BEST risotto I’ve ever had. From the flavourful sauce to the fresh mussels it was perfect! My boyfriend also enjoyed his chicken pizza and commented that he has never experienced a pizza like the one at mamma Mia’s. I had the panna cotta for dessert and the food just keeps on getting better, it was so creamy and the sauce tasted amazing! I highly recommend mamma mia’s if you want an authentic, cozy and welcoming Italian restaurant. We will definitely be returning and I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu!! “My mother and I visited this place on the 09.10.25 during lunch time hours. We were greeted with a beautiful smile form a young lady that was very happy passionate and welcoming. She designated a very nice table with a good view by the window overlooking the best view. All other staff were very kind and attentive including the restaurant owner . The atmosphere was nice with great menu selection and very good music playing in the background. The young lady was efficient and always took care of my mother's needs and even spoke in my mother's mother tongue spanish. The food was great, always well presented and very delicious. We had alot of fish dishes and they were tasty and well cooked . Overall it was a very pleasant experience lovely restaurant very clean on a beautiful sunny day. Upon existing the restaurant we were very impressed with the kindness and professionalism of everyone working that day.Also the lady owner was actually near the entrance she very nicely spoke to us briefly with a smile and said our goodbyes. “Hands down my favourite takeaway. The vegan range is absolutely brilliant and all delicious. I think I am addicted to the vegan yasai fried rice! My Mum came down from the midlands recently to visit and ordered the chow mein which she said was the best she'd ever had. So much so, I have just ordered one for her to take up there with me tomorrow!”

“Me and my partner went here after being recommended by a chef I work with and it was fabulous! I tried the lobster special and it was the best lobster I’ve ever had, the potato salad and bisque was insane and everything was ultimately tasty. We also tried the beef croquettes, oysters and prawns for starters which were all delicious and perfectly prepared, my partner absolutely adored the chocolate pot for dessert as well. The wine list is perfect, I had the cheapest vinho verde as wanted to spend more on my food and it was still fantastic. Only thing I wouldn’t recommend was the margarita but that’s just my personal preference (no salt rim, not on the rocks so if you like that then go for it!) Our servers were great too, extremely good service thank you guys!”
