She’s kind, considerate, professional and empathetic- all our kitties are and have been rescues, sometimes with a traumatic past so this has made a big difference to their care. They all love her ! All the other vets we’ve seen over the years have been great too and the nurses are fantastic and caring. The receptionists are brilliant- always kind and understanding . “I seem to be visiting the vets way too often for my liking, I have 2 dogs and they seem to take turns not being well. As always the team are compassionate towards my pets, are thorough and are happy to spend the time diagnosing and explaining my options. Whilst not cheap (what vet is?) they try to minimise where possible the costs incurred. I love having a local vet a couple of minutes away with a 24 hr emergency also on my doorstep should the need arise (which it has more than once). For these reasons for me it is good value for peace of mind.”

“Fantastic experience with Southdown vets. Always really helpful on the phone and really friendly on reception. Vets have all been really helpful. My dog recently had to be sedated for ear checks and the attending practicioners (sorry I didn't catch their names!) made him really comfortable and were very understanding with him being very nervous. Wouldn't hestitate to recommend to anyone.”

This veterinary practice greets you on the phone with a cheerful and happy manner. When you visit the practice all the staff are so sweet, they are kind, caring, considerate, full of smiles and really make you and your pets feel welcome. I've seen 2 different vets now and both were really thorough and very informative. You don't feel rushed or like you have no idea what they are talking about. They really take the time to explain and put your mind at ease. I could not recommend them enough. We are going back on Wednesday for another procedure for our little cookie, and I feel totally at ease knowing she will be looked after properly.”

“Such a lovely vets. I went to another vet for my terrapin and wasn't happy with their service so spent time googling and found Farthings and I'm so pleased I did. Location ideal, parking ideal, reception staff all friendly on phone, email and in personal. Vet was so nice and not judgemental. Sadly I had to say goodbye to my 20 year old terrapin. Was such a horrible day but knowing I was in a better vets helped the situation. Collected my terrapin today and again such lovely staff. It's going to take me a while to get over losing luke but knowing the vets were thinking of the best rather than money and were just so lovely compared to the other vets I went to will always be remembered. Will highly recommend to anyone I speak to. Thank you again so much for making a horrible situation a little easier for me I'll always be grateful.”

“One of our cats, Pop, was poorly over the Bank Holiday. Our usual vet was closed but forwarded us to New Priory Vets. The team there was very helpful. Roz the vet gave Pop an injection and emailed his file to our vet so we can follow up. We were very happy with the help our furbaby received and would highly recommend this vet.”

“I am so grateful to this practice for all the fantastic care and attention they have given to my cat, especially over the last 18months since she was diagnosed with 2 critical illnesses. I always knew they were good from our annual vet check ups and occasional visits following the odd cat fight! However, since her diagnoses last year the staff have been absolutely brilliant - both with our cat and with us. Every member of staff has been extremely friendly, professional, knowledgable, honest and so very caring. It's been a long journey already but 18 months on and our lovely little cat is back to her playful, mischievous self and in the best health for a while. Whilst that may not last forever, I know she is in the best possible care with the team at Southdown. I cannot recommend them highly enough!”
